The Sight Of Future

The Sight Of Future
Recovering

Talia is no longer in the academy. He was returned to the Ortega family home and treated until he fully recovered. The Ramona Magic Academy decided to shut down the study activities during the end of this semester because of the incident.

Luckily there were no casualties in the black dragon's release incident. Only, the professors who were guarding the mouth of the cave were reportedly seriously injured due to the explosion of Kyle and Talia's strength. The disciples of the Enchanter Department were also heavily injured during the earthquake and the dragon's rampage. Most of the forbidden forest area was scorched because of the dragon's breathing spurt while chasing Talia. While the entire cavernous valley where the dragon was caged also collapsed into a high abyss.

Now the Academy is assisted by witches and imperial knights are trying to restore the condition of the place. Due to the battle of Talia and Kyle, the barrier in the forbidden forest was also broken. The wild animals locked inside were free to escape. The Beast Tamer children had managed to tame some. But many managed to fly to the city. Therefore the Imperial knights became even busier after the incident.

Talia heard the news from her father. Count Ortega immediately came to pick Talia up upon hearing her daughter was seriously injured, even engaging in a battle with a dragon. The man had actually barely lost his life spirit if Talia could not survive. Fortunately, his daughter is still alive.

Count Ortega brought Talia back to their home in a port city far from the empire. Talia had been unconscious for an entire month, and all her father did was wait patiently and anxiously. Talia's magic power has disappeared. When she woke up, she could not summon her spirits, nor see the future with a touch.

Talia was so weak, helpless and in pain. His father was found several times to shed tears seeing Talia's condition. Even so the maids of the Talia residence, especially Sophie, took care of the girl diligently until finally Talia managed to get out of bed.

"I dreamt of meeting my mother, Father," Talia told the story when the two of them were having breakfast together in Talia's room. The girl wasn't strong enough to walk around. The father accompanied Talia to breakfast in her room. Talia ate while lying down, while Count Ortega sat in the chair next to Talia's bed.

"Your mother must be very proud of you. Even if you can choose, I don't want you to be involved with such danger" Count Ortega said bluntly.

Talia smiled knot. Lately his relationship with his father has become increasingly familiar. They can have a long conversation.

"Daddy's guess is right. Mom said she was proud of me. And say that this is my destiny" Talia said, scooping up the pumpkin soup made by the chef of Ortega's residence. "But I also have to apologize to Dad for worrying" the girl added later.

Count Ortega, who had a thin sideburn on his face, smiled in relief. "I'm grateful you're okay. I don't know what to do if I lose you too, Talia. Maybe I won't be able to survive."

Talia took a deep breath. "I promise I won't leave Dad first" the girl said solemnly.

Count Ortega looked at his daughter. "Do you really have to go back to the Academy after this? Hasn't your magic power returned yet?" his question is full of anxiety.

"Dad also knew that magic could not just disappear. My strength is only dormant because I use great energy without preparation. When my magic skills return, I want to continue my studies at the Academy. I hope you'll allow it" Talia pinta.

The Count sighed grimly. His daughter will not be stopped. Even if he was so worried, but blocking Talia's ideals to become an official witch, was like making her suffer for a lifetime.

"Please promise to take care of yourself. And always tell Dad if anything suspicious happens. Don't face everything alone, Talia. You still have a father" said Count Ortega.

His father was relieved. The dinner plates of both of them were finished. Looks like it's time for Count Ortega to go to work. His father called the waiter to clean up their breakfast and prepared to leave Talia.

"There's a letter from Gothe's residence in the north. Looks like your friends are curious about your situation. Reply if you have time to give Adrew to send," the father's message before actually leaving.

Talia gave a short nod as she let Count Ortega go with a smile. Sophie appeared shortly afterwards, carrying two black letters with silver stamps on the coat of arms of the Gothe family.

"Miss, this letter just came last night. Mr. Count asked me to give it to Miss this morning," Sophie reached out the letters.

Talia accepted it with gratitude. It was a letter from Kyle and Ludwig. Each one sent a different letter. A few days ago, Susan and Leo also sent her a beautiful letter and bouquet of flowers. The Muela and Leopold families were in an area closer to the port city that Talia lived in. That's why their letter arrived first.

Talia opened Ludwig's letter first. The young man's handwriting was similar to Kyle's. Both of them were very neat as if they were carefully written.

I was planning to send Pterotos to your house, but that father's word might be considered a threat. That's why my letter had to come later than I expected. I've also planned a trip across the continent to visit you. But now my mother forbids it. He's talking nonsense about the chance to kill Kyle. That's why I had to keep that useless sister from being tried for murder by my biological mother. Really a fucked up family, indeed.

But you don't have to think about it. You better recover quickly and go back to the academy. Our department will probably be called in first to catch the released animals. So as soon as Kyle wakes up, I'll go right back there. So you should get better soon and return to the Academy as well. I waited for you.

Ludwig Gothe

Talia folded Kyle's letter back while chuckling. The young man was apparently quite busy. Its existence is needed both at home and at school. Seeing Kyle's letter coming together, it means that his best friend must have been conscious. That means Ludwig might already be in the Academy by now.

Talia opens the second letter from Kyle. His best friend had only written a few sentences and his handwriting was a little messy. It seems Kyle is still weak. He may have just become aware of his coma and immediately wrote to Talia.

Thank you for saving me, Talia. I'm waiting to see you again.

Who misses you, though,

Kyle Gothe

Talia held the two letters in her arms. He was grateful because finally everything had worked out they passed well.
