Talia could not concentrate on the lesson at all. Professor Li is teaching the Basic Theory of Magic. Soon there will be a magic aptitude test. The entire first-rate student had to do a written examination of magic theories. Followed by a practice test to find out the tendency of the talent of the magic element of each child. Therefore these weeks, the professors are always checking the students with a lot of reviews and exercises.

Even so, especially today, Talia could not focus on Professor Li's explanation at all. Besides because the material is boring – Talia has memorized at least five books of Magic Theory while at his house –, also because his mind is filled with various anxieties.

Two visions in one day. That heavy burden must now be borne by Talia. His magic energy seemed to be sucked out from using the power of looking at the future so carelessly. At least Talia had to give it two or three days' pause before peeking into the other's future. But now, in a day he has seen the future of two different people. Moreover, the future he saw was very disturbing to the mind.

“Are you okay? Your face is pale,” whispered Kyle next to Talia.

The girl was still staring pushyly at the blackboard. Professor Li raved at length about the history of witch destruction before the era of the Ramona empire. Witchcraft was only recognized and accepted after Emperor Dionysus of the Azov kingdom began to expand with the help of witches. He conquered the other kingdoms of the continent either by war or diplomacy, until finally uniting them and building the Ramona empire.

Now, Ramona's empire had stood for over two hundred years, exactly two hundred and forty-three years. And during that time also witchcraft became a legal lesson learned by children with magic talent.  

“Hey, Talia,” whispered Kyle once more, while touching Talia's elbow using her quill.

Kyle's touch finally broke Talia's mind for a moment. He looked at his friend and saw a worried look on his face. The girl nodded slowly.

“I'm fine,” whispered half-heartedly.

However, Kyle knows that Talia is lying. The girl is clearly not okay. Kyle tries to guess Ludwig's evil plan which Talia must have seen. In addition, Talia had also accidentally touched her hand during breakfast. Kyle was sure Talia must have seen something from her future as well. It must have been so disturbing that it made the girl cry.

It felt like Kyle took Talia away from the class and calmed the girl down, saying that everything must be fine as long as Talia was willing to tell her the guts. However Kyle did not want to make Talia feel uncomfortable. Talia may have her own reasons for not being able to tell her the future she just saw. Usually Talia would talk to Kyle right away if something was bothering her, even during the lesson. But this time the girl looked so moody and sad.

Kyle finally took the initiative to persuade Talia through a small letter he wrote on the end of his parchment.

Don'worry. Whatever Ludwig's plan is, I can definitely handle it. Just leave it to me. Write Kyle on a small parchment sheet.

Talia received the parchment, which Kyle held out directly before her. The girl read Kyle's neat and beautiful writing. Even the letters are perfectly curved.

After reading it, Talia could only take a heavy breath. Personally, Talia trusted Kyle's abilities. He also knew that since childhood Kyle had been used to finish off the monsters sent by his brother. But especially for Ludwig's plan this time, Talia wasn't sure Kyle could help her directly. Somehow, Talia feels she must be able to face the monster sent by Ludwig with her own hands. How long should he rely on Kyle?

Though there has not been a year they became friends and became close, but the bond that Talia felt was already this deep. The girl closed her eyes as she shook her head slowly, trying to erase the memory of Kyle's shattered body hitting the ground. However, the visuals are becoming clearer in his mind. As vigorously as possible, Talia held back her tears. He didn't want to make a fuss in class.

“Talia Ortega, did you notice?” professor Li's voice pierced Talia's ear. Called name. Did the professor realize that he had not noticed the lesson at all?

“Ma, sorry, Professor. Looks like I'm not feeling well,” let Talia find an excuse. Now the whole class is looking at him inquisitively. It was not once twice that Talia received a reprimand from the teachers, but since the Dirlagraun attack, Talia has become more and more the center of attention.

The professor looked at Talia with slight hesitation. Normally Professor Li would have him make an essay on the subject matter of the day when Talia was caught not paying attention to the lesson. However, once again, since the disaster of the Dirlagraun attack, the attitude of the professors towards him also softened.

“Then go to the health room. Gothe, can you drive Lady Ortega?”

Talia gasps. He did not expect that Professor Li could take it off so easily. However, Kyle had swiftly replied, regardless of Talia's shock, as if he had been waiting for this moment since then.

“Good, Professor. I will take Lady Ortega to the infirmary,” Kyle said as he stood up.

Talia was still a little stupefied for being able to pass the punishment of the professor. But because Kyle was waiting for him, the girl also stood up and followed Kyle out of class.

The two of them walked in silence, through the silent hallways of the Enchanter Department, as the other classrooms on the floor were not yet used. Each class has four main classes on each floor, corresponding to the main elements of their respective talents. At the beginning of the Academy, all first-rate students were put together in one large class containing more than one student at a time. They are taught to know basic magic and its whole theory and history.

Three months later, a magic aptitude test was held, which would later break the large class into four classes according to the strongest talent of each enchanter.The four classes were water element classes, fire element classes, and fire element classes, air element class, and lastly ground element class. Each enchantment can use all four elements. However they will usually have one of the more prominent elements. It will be seen during the magic aptitude test later.

The exception occurs in children with two special elements: dark and light elements, such as Kyle. They are very few and rare. Even in one generation there is not necessarily a child who has one of the two elements. Therefore, children like Kyle were released to choose one of the four basic element classes earlier.

“Do you mind telling me about the future you saw?” kyle asked to break the silence.

Talia glanced at the young man. Kyle looked anxious, just like him. Today Talia is indeed so quiet, not as usual. The girl weighed for a moment. In the end, it is impossible to keep everything alone. He better be honest with Kyle. At least about her brother's evil plans.

“I saw Ludwig planning to harm me at night. In the dorm,” said Talia started her story.
