The Sight Of Future

The Sight Of Future
Magic Tokens

Talia could not hide her enthusiasm after getting a mysterious letter from the Taleodore Society. Throughout the day he kept a close eye on the surroundings, waiting for the slightest sign that the Taleodore members might send him.

“What's wrong with you?” Kyle asked him to speak while Professor Li's class was going on.

Talia pretended not to listen and refocused on the professor explaining the basics of magic elements.

Kyle's elbow nudged Talia's chin-backed arm. The girl's head slid down and almost hit the table. Talia turned her head in annoyance and looked at Kyle like she was looking at a bully insect. Unfortunately that expression couldn't last long because as soon as he saw Kyle's face, Talia's heart softened again.

“Why?” hiss Talia tried as soon as possible.

“You are why. Your attitude is not as usual,” whispered Kyle as he brought his face closer.

Talia clucked in annoyance and tried to stay away. “Nothing. What do you care anyway?” talia protested while throwing her face away. He had to dismiss the desire to get back close to Kyle. However Talia did not expect that Kyle would still notice her even though they were no longer friends.

“You think I like watching you? It's because of the magic you've instilled in me. Now that my mind somehow always leads to you and my attention is also on you,” Kyle sighed sounding pathetic.

Talia turned to look at Kyle again. The words of the young man successfully made the heart palpitate. Kyle did not mean to express feelings, but his words clearly sounded like that.

“Ka, You ...” Talia stammered at a loss for words. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his irregularly beating heart. Kyle really made her nervous. “Stop talking nonsense. Strange base,” said Talia with a red face.

“Why are you getting nervous? That's because you did something to me,” insisted Kyle was stubborn.

Talia sighed impatiently. “I didn't do anything to you, Kyle. The only thing I do is not care about you,” protests Talia.

Kyle's eyes suddenly rounded and glimpsed as if he was gleaming with excitement. “What did you call me?” ask her while holding back a smile.

This time Talia was completely at a loss for words. The girl was stunned for a moment and realized her mistake. After cursed in his heart he returned to his inexhaustible mode, pretending to focus on the lesson.

Kyle kept trying to attract his attention on purpose. But Talia did not care. He tried to be as calm as a cucumber.

Lunch time arrived without notice. Talia let out a sigh of relief as she finally did not need to face Kyle who continued to undermine her. However, Talia is now getting restless because she has not yet received any sign from Taleodore. Nor could he discuss it with Susan or anyone else considering the letter was confidential.

Talia wondered if the invitation letter was just someone's prank on her. But who is the child who has such a big intention that he has to go into his room and leave a magic letter that can burn after being read? It doesn't make sense. Talia also has no enemies at the school, but she is also a new kid.

“Why do you look so nervous? This morning it seemed like your mood was good,” asked Susan who was sitting next to him at lunch.

“It looks like you really had a hard time in magic lessons,” comments Susan concerned. “Is there anything I can help you with? I still have a record of the first level. Maybe you can use it ...”

Talia shook her head slowly and tried to resist subtly. The fact is that Talia has actually mastered all the basic lessons of magic.

“No need, Susan. I can still follow him, although a little heavy,” refused him politely.

Susan took a deep breath and went back to chopping her vegetable salad with a fork. “If only you could join the Taleodore Society, you would be able to improve your abilities quickly,” Susan lamented with a sigh.

“By the way, did you know that this week the group has started recruiting members. According to a reliable source, he said they would hold a selection during the full moon night in the forbidden forest. You must bring the identification token sent to the selected children,” continued Susan while whispering.

Talia frowned. “Where did you know about that?” tanyanya.

Susan just shrugged her shoulders. “Yeah, I'm a member of the Newspaper Club. We have a way to collect even the most confidential information,” says lightly.

Talia didn't ask any more questions, worried that Susan might suspect him. Nor was he sure that Susan told him the reason honestly. Has Susan been a member of the Taleodore Society?

However, considering how in her previous life Susan always clung to her, even sleeping in her room, making Talia immediately throw away the thought. It's impossible that she didn't know Susan was acting suspicious. Talia must have known that Susan was a member of a secret society at the Academy.

Even so, when he returned to the dormitory in the evening, Talia again got a small surprise at her study table. A longer letter with the same seal as before: three symbols of the magic department in the academy.

Talia slowly opened the letter. A small rabbit-shaped brooch was neatly tucked away in an envelope. Talia took out the golden brooch and saw a pomegranate jewel adorning the rabbit's eyes.

“What is this token Susan means? How could he know about this ritual?” talia muttered while observing her little brooch.

“And why rabbits? What does it mean?” he murmured again while thinking.

Suddenly the envelope in which the brooch was stored was burned back by itself. Talia was a little surprised, but immediately threw her out the window. Shortly after, the envelope turned to ash before it could touch the ground. Now Talia only has a golden rabbit brooch eyed pink pomegranate stone.

“Tomorrow is the predetermined time. I'd better save this and follow Susan's advice,” Talia said as she retrieved a small wooden box from her desk drawer. Talia kept the brooch well.

In the box, Talia also kept her red crystal that had turned black. Now in the pendant Talia only hang one blue crystal that is useful to eliminate themselves. Talia was grateful that the Crystal could remain with her as she had to repeat time. Talia believes that this thing will be useful later.

After preparing everything for tomorrow, Talia changed her uniform into a nightgown. The day was not as exhausting as usual. Talia feels more alive than ever. Now he can connect with others freely. He could wrap his hands around Susan's arms freely, like his friends in general. Talia also did not have to worry if she accidentally tangled with someone else. More than that, Talia was grateful that she did not need to be Ludwig's target anymore as before. At least that's what Talia says.
