Talia hurriedly turned back her flying direction and headed back towards the forest. His heart was so wary that the protective veil of the valley that locked the dragon away and he had to face the giant monster again. But luckily his worries did not come true. He managed to find Kyle who was searching around the forest.
"Where are you flying?" kyle asked a little scream to cope with the roar of the wind.
"sorry. Unknowingly I flew too far," Talia replied.
The two finally landed back in the middle of the forbidden forest. Talia kept her broomstick and showed her Euphoria, the wind spirit she had just obtained.
"You did it" Kyle commented proudly.
Talia nodded happily. But his joy did not last long. He recalled the sound of hissing dragons talking to him in his mind. Upon hearing Talia's story, Kyle hurriedly led her away from the forest. It would be very dangerous if the dragon appeared at any time.
"I think we should go see Ludwig. He might be able to help" Talia proposed as she walked through the forest.
"You really don't intend to tell the professors or any other adults?" persuade Kyle to worry.
Talia was silent for a moment. There was a reason why he chose to keep his strength a secret. His life would become even more complicated if people knew that he had the ability of an oracle. Talia did not want to live imprisoned in the temple of light because of her ability.
"alright. We meet Ludwig alone," said Kyle relented.
The two of them immediately rushed towards the dormitory. Ludwig's room is on the top floor, the most spacious and luxurious room. A Kappa – water monster fighting a turtle standing on two legs – opens the door to Ludwig's room. Talia was always amazed by Ludwig's flamboyant way of life. Even so, he did not comment much.
Ludwig was sitting drinking tea by the window of his high room. The young man welcomed Talia and Kyle's arrival without standing from his seat.
"Have you managed to summon the wind spirit?" ask Ludwig then.
Talia nodded then showed Euphoria in the form of a small whirlwind. The Kappa monster shriveled away in fear. Ludwig waved at the Kappa, telling him to go to another room.
"Goodoo. So why are you here?" Ludwig again asked as he sipped his steaming teacup.
Talia sat down in front of Ludwig and began to tell him about the dragon's voice.
"Don't wander around the valley. Your energy could trigger the damage of the dragon magic barrier. You'd better start being careful from now on" advised Ludwig later.
"Can't you try talking to the dragon?" urge Talia to find a solution.
"Speak about what? My ability is not big enough to affect a dragon. Then you intend to tell me to speak carefully and persuade the dragon not to arrest you? You think he can negotiate? If I become that dragon, after being locked up for hundreds of years and finding a way to be free, of course I will chase after him. Whatever the risk, the dragon must be targeting your power, Talia," Ludwig said at length.
Talia snorts short. Of course Ludwig's explanation makes sense. Talia still feels unfair. Why must he be himself?
"So all my life, I have to avoid dragons?" tanya Talia drew the conclusion.
"The problem was that the third day Magic Talent Test was held at the edge of the valley. That's what triggered my death in a previous life" Talia complained later.
"Then you don't have to take that test. After all, you have mastered the three spirit elements. You can choose the element class as you please" Ludwig suggested, which Kyle immediately agreed to.
Talia was stunned for a moment. "But all students are required to take the whole set of tests. How I find excuses not to follow him. I could be punished or even get a minus and be expelled from the Academy" Talia lamented at length.
"If you leave the Academy, I'll resign too" Kyle said quickly.
"That's not the point, Kyle. If I don't graduate from this Academy, I won't get permission as a witch."
"I can accompany you to life as an ordinary person" Kyle said.
"wait. Stop the two of you, "cut Ludwig looking fed up. "Don't think too far. Just make yourself sick on the day of the exam. You can skip the health room. Do I need to send a beast to your room?" tawar Ludwig then.
Talia took a deep breath. These two people are just as insane. "That's it. Let me think about it later," muttered the girl tired.
"Just calm. With your level, I'm sure the professors will let you into all the element classes. You're the only magician who can summon more than one spirit element. The academy won't let you go" Ludwig said lightly.
Talia could only sigh in response.
***
According to Ludwig's advice, Talia had never been in the forbidden forest again. The forest area was bordered by a valley and he felt it was better to avoid it than to happen things that were not desirable. Most of Talia's practice sessions are now back in the secret room of the Alchemist Department.
There Talia and Kyle often meet Leo who is busy concocting various things to prepare for the Magic Talent Test. Sometimes Susan also comes with them just to spend time.
The test day is finally tba. As her friends said, Talia was not too worried about the results of the Magic Talent Test later on. She planned to enter the water magic class that she really liked the most. Because of that the classroom practice exam was conducted on the first day in the greenhouse, then Talia could follow without worrying about the existence of dragons.
Talia was getting ready to go to breakfast before the Test began when Talia suddenly passed Kyle in front of her dorm.
"Kyle? You waiting for me?" ask Talia astonishment. Since repeating life, Kyle is no longer overprotective and takes the girl to his dorm. Especially now they have also made peace with Ludwig.
"There's a problem" Kyle said short. The young man then glanced towards Susan who was usually leaving with Talia.
Susan looked back at Kyle lazily. "You want to talk alone without me again" the girl said sarcastically.
"Ah, no. We're leaving together, Susan," Talia said quickly. Talia doesn't want Susan to feel offended for always being ostracized in conversation. "So what's up, Kyle?" he continued to turn to the young man.
Kyle's expression looked anxious. The young man finally opened his mouth with a heavy heart. "Our first dish was held in the river near the valley" he said in frustration.
