As promised, Talia no longer brought up Ludwig's problem again in front of Kyle. They also had quieter days than before. Even so, Talia had to try hard to suppress her long-standing curiosity regarding Kyle and Ludwig's relationship. Somehow he felt that the complexity of the relationship between the brothers was the source of the real problem.
But he has learned from experience that during this time his desire to interfere usually even drag more problems. Therefore Talia tried to stay calm and not let curiosity master it.
Unfortunately, tranquility is not at all present in the dictionary of Talia's life. Just a few days after the tragedy of the battle with the fire salamander, Talia must now face off against Ludwig who sent her a message through Pterotus.
The girl had just returned to her dormitory when a winged serpent re-sniffled in through a crack above her bedroom window. Lately Talia has been able to overcome her fear of the creature. Instead, he felt pity because the beast was being used by Ludwig as a messenger.
The Pterotus floated slowly towards Talia's study table when the girl had just finished her bath. Their eyes stared for a while and Talia noticed the sadness in the little snake's eyes. Pity also appeared in the heart of the girl.
“Are you tired of your work little snake?” ask her while walking closer without fear. With her fingers, Talia tried to touch the snake's head. Apparently the Pterotos did not try to evade or get angry. The snake looked comfortable when Talia rubbed her head.
“After thinking about it you seem pretty adorable. If only you hadn't scaled the metal, or taken out could have been deadly. And your urine inflicts a troublesome disease,” complains Talia who is either trying to praise or insult the creature. Now Talia's fingers begin to stroke the wings of the hairless reptile.
The pterotos seemed to understand Talia's words and just hissed softly in annoyance then turned away and flew through the gap of her window.
“Wah, he is very irritable,” Talia murmured while observing the departure of pterotos.
Talia finally grabbed Ludwig's letter which was sealed in red, as usual. In her little heart, the girl was indeed hoping to see Ludwig again. He wants to confirm Ludwig's relationship with Kyle. Talia had a slightly surprising guess that might be the solution to their problems all along. Therefore, he felt quite happy to receive Ludwig's letter that day. What a rare feeling.
But inside the brown envelope, there was no letter at all. Instead, a small rolling red Crystal stone fell onto Talia's study table. It was with wonder that the girl grabbed the familiar-looking stone without any suspicion.
“What i– .” Talia's sentence wasn't even finished when her body was suddenly sucked into a magic vortex. He felt like he was spinning around so fast that his stomach was nauseous.
A few seconds later his feet again stepped on the shiny wooden floor while still wearing pumpkin-drawn sleeping pajamas.
“Interesting clothes,” comments a familiar sounding voice.
Talia hurriedly looked up and found Ludwig sitting casually on the luxurious long sofa. Talia quickly combed the situation and immediately recognized the place as a private room belonging to Ludwig. He was in that luxurious room when he saw Kyle's future in his past life.
Even so he still felt annoyed that Ludwig again used the teleportation crystal to take him by force. “Can't you tell me first if you're going to send something like that?” talia protests with folded arms.
Talia immediately turned anxious. The girl immediately walked over to Ludwig and sat down next to him. “Are you still in pain? Do I need to heal you again?” tanyanya while feeling the whole body of Ludwig to feel the burning heat that the young man might feel.
Ludwig only grunted amusedly while stopping Talia's hand movements that continued to pierce him. “Don't touch me like that. You amused me,” he said with fingers holding both Talia's wrists.
They looked at him for a moment. “Oh, sorry,” said Talia then broke free from Ludwig's grasp. “If not for that, then why did you call me?”
Ludwig grinned at a glance then poured two glasses of wine for the two of them. “Of course to get paid from you,” said the young man while holding out a glass filled with wine.
Talia glanced into the glass and the faint aroma of alcohol was smelled from the drink. “Absolutely we can drink a drink like this at the Academy?” ask the girl plain.
Ludwig sighed softly and looked at Talia tiredly. “You always have a strange way of looking at a situation,” the young man commented while shaking the glass he held out to Talia. Instantly the aroma of alcohol disappeared and the color of the roast became more concentrated.
“You turn it into grape juice. This is a drink made by an alchemist. Surely the price is very expensive,” said Talia who eagerly received the drink glass.
Ludwig again took a long breath patiently. “What is important now? I'm talking about the pay for my work training you yesterday. You don't want to know about that?” seriously serge.
Talia only grimaced a little in response. “I'm sorry. All of your items are of very high quality, so I feel a little amazed,” go to the girl after tasting her delicious grape juice.
Ludwig finally smiled faintly as he watched Talia casually drink the wine he gave. “You don't hate me anymore? Or scared of me? Your attitude today is really strange. I'm not used to seeing you so relaxed when you're around me. Aren't you afraid that I'll poison you?” ask Ludwig then.
Talia glanced at Ludwig. “You are sworn to protect me. How could you possibly harm me. And after what you did yesterday, risking your life to protect me. Thank you, Ludwig,” Talia said as she looked earnestly at Ludwig.
Ludwig was stunned for a moment. A smile then spread on his face. “Good you know now,” his comment with a gentle expression.
“So what payment should I give you?” ask Talia later.
“Finally you care about that too,” said Ludwig relieved. “Not difficult. I just want you to stay away from my sister,” she continued lightly.
Now it was Talia's turn to be stunned. “Why don't you want me close to Kyle? Do you ... like me?” ask the girl.
