CHAPTER 12. ABLE TO SURVIVE

“You to what floor?” ask the man standing next to Reina.

“Four floors.” Reina replied.

Then the man pressed the number four button and the elevator moved up. Reina's hair was goosebumps, she felt noticed by the two men who were with her. Reina also ventured to peek from the shadow reflected from the elevator door.

And sure enough, the two men were indeed watching him. Reina immediately lowered her head deeply.

“Include my name Felix. Are you a new employee in this company?” asked the man next to Reina, extending his hand.

Reina hesitated to accept the man's helping hand, but she also felt bad about letting the hand hang on.

“I'm Reina Kayona.” Reina said as she briefly shook the man's hand. There was Felix's short laugh as Reina touched his hand quickly.

“Where do you work in?” ask Felix again.

“I just wanted to apply here.” replied Reina glanced at Feliz.

There was no response from the two men, Reina looked down again while stealing a glance at the shadow of the man behind her. The man stood like a statue, he neither spoke nor moved nor even the sound of his breathing was heard.

“Oh, just wanted to apply. What part do you want to apply to?” ask Felix again.

“I don't know yet but said the receptionist was opening vacancies for secretaries and OB. Maybe I will apply as an OB only.” replied Reina.

“Why not apply as secretary only?”

Reina cursed Felix who asked him too much.

“If this company accepts D3 graduates, I would like to apply. But I doubt it will be accepted...I have never had work experience.” replied Reina gamang.

Reina finished her studies. But because Bobby didn't let him work, he never used his diploma to find a job.

“Work experience is not a problem. Just so you can survive is enough.” murmured Felix almost inaudible.

Reina scrunched her forehead not understanding what Felix just said. He wanted to ask but the elevator had stopped on the fourth floor. Reina immediately stepped out.

“Thank you.” he said to the two men in front of him. When the elevator door closed, Reina was about to leave but the elevator door opened again and Felix's voice stopped her steps.

“You really intend to be a secretary?”

“Meanour father?” Reina turned around and asked.

“I don't mind work experience or not. I just need people who are ready to work and able to survive. If you are ready to survive, I will accept you as secretary.” Felix replied.

“Hah?” Reina. What surprise or miracle did he get today? Reina had not been aware of his surprise, Felix again said.

“You can meet Kaifan in the HRD section. Tell him Felix asked you to meet him. See you tomorrow!”

Felix smiled and the elevator door closed and the two men disappeared from his sight. “Kaifan parts HRD?” reina Mumbles.

A smile appeared on Reina's beautiful face. Hope filled his heart, even though he did not know who Felix was but if Reina was really accepted to work at this company he would be very grateful to him.

After asking one of the employees he met. Reina finally reached Kaifan's room. It turns out Kaifan Pradipa is the HR manager at the company.

“Iya sir!” Reina nodded.

“Alright! I've understood. It just so happened that Mr. Felix called me and told me about you. But, are you sure you'll take an offer from Mr Felix? It is not easy to be our CEO secretary.” Kaifan said.

Reina stunned “Secretary CEO?” tanyanya could not believe it.

“Yes, you will work on the fifty floor! As CEO secretary of his name is Mr. Verdi Bimantya Kenzie. Or commonly called Mr. Verdi.” replied Kaifan.

Quickly Reina pinched his arm, she wanted to ascertain whether what she was experiencing right now was real or not. He grimaced in pain as the skin of his pinched arm reddened.

The young man in front of him laughed. “Take it easy. You are not dreaming! Maybe Mr. Felix is tired of looking for a secretary for Mr. Verdi. Many people have resigned. In this month alone there are three people who have gone. They can only survive for one week.”

Reina rounded her lips. Felix said he was looking for people who are ready to work and able to survive. Perhaps the reason for that, was the CEO of this company fierce? Or cruel and arbitrary to its employees so that none of its secretaries feel at home working?

“How? Do you still want to accept this job?” ask Kaifan again.

“Mau Sir!” Reina nodded quickly and replied without the slightest hesitation. Reina did not care what kind of person she would face later. Most importantly, he works and can make money.

“Oh yes sir. For example, I stopped in the middle of the road like everyone else. Do I still get a salary?” reina asked hesitantly.

This was the thing he had to make sure first because he did not want to have spent his time working and ended up quitting without getting anything.

Kaifan chuckles, “You take it easy. We give a daily salary to people who can't afford to survive. That is a special policy for CEO secretaries.” Kaifan replied.

Finally Reina breathed a sigh of relief. At least he could still earn some money if only he could not survive.

“You can start work tomorrow. Please read this guidebook to learn what work you will do and also all the needs of Mr. Verdi that you have to prepare. Oh yes, you should wear better clothes tomorrow. Because for a secretary, appearance is the most important thing.” he said without the intention to offend in the least.

Reina smiled wryly, “Good Sir. I've understood. Then excuse me.” Reina exits Kaifan's room and enters the elevator and presses button one.

Reina was delighted that she was finally able to get a job. He did not expect to be accepted to work for such a large company.

Moreover, his position as CEO secretary is a good position and became the target of many people. But Reina got the position so easily.

“Varen would be happy if she knew I had gotten a job.” muttered Reina who remembered her husband.

When the elevator stopped, Reina immediately got out of the elevator and stepped out of the company where she would start working. Reina is looking forward to getting home and meeting up soon

Varen to share this good news. After a long time she was just a housewife, Reina finally got a good job.

After walking for almost half an hour, Reina finally reached the front of the house. To save on expenses he went home using angkot and went down at the intersection of the road.

Then Reina walked from the intersection to her house. Reina opened the fence with her hand holding a plastic package.

As soon as Reina opened the door, Varen was standing behind the door in her neat clothes. “You want to go huh?”

“Finally you go home too.” said Varen without answering his wife's question.

“You want to go find me?” Reina asked while groaning.
