CHAPTER 26. WORRYING

“Wah....this is a surprise! Yes if this is how we will meet more often.” said Bobby. Unexpectedly, the man smiled sweetly at his ex-wife. The smile that Bobby used to show Reina.

Suddenly Reina felt a deepening hatred and seeing the two people in front of her made her want to vomit.

Elora was jealous to see Bobby being friendly and smiling at Reina. He didn't like it if Bobby's warm gaze gave to Reina.

Elora purposely took Bobby's hand and said, “Honey, keep your eyes on him. Don't let others misunderstand!”

Bobby jumped in shock, he realized from his dream that admired Reina to forget there was his wife beside him. Bobby holds Elora's hand to see Reina's reaction.

Bobby is very sure that his ex-wife still has feelings for him. Reina had not had time to react, someone had interrupted their conversation.

“Wah....see! Who'sisthis? Mr. Bobby Maheswara and Ms. Elora Aleysia! Our new bride is finally back at work! I'm happy that you just returned home in mad.” he said in a cheerful tone.

Reina looked at the man. Felix and Verdi were walking towards them. Bobby da Elora immediately bowed in salute while Reina was just stunned staring at Verdi. She remembered her husband then she lowered her head in sadness. Reina hopes Varen is by her side at the moment.

“Good morning Mr Verdi, Mr Felix!” greet Elora and Bobby.

They greeted each other and talked, whether what they were talking about Reina was not too listening because she did not care either. He just looked down lethargic, preoccupied with his wandering mind remembering Varen.

“Reina! Oi! What are you thinking?” Felix called out to Reina while plucking his finger.

“Hah?” Reina jumped to her senses from her daydream.

“You daydreaming huh?” Felix chuckles.

“Sorry! I was thinking of something.” replied Reina smiling faintly.

Her once cheerful face now just looks somber and uninspired.

“I heard you're Elora's sister? Why never tell a story?” ask Felix.

“It should tell a story? Did you never ask? I have never been treated as a sister and have never been considered a sister! So why call me a sister?”

Felix was surprised to hear Reina's words but he ended up laughing loudly at Reina's reaction. Bobby also laughed feeling anxious and irritated. While Elora only smiled disdainfully, thinking that her sister's reaction looked very stupid! Verdi only read the anxiety on his wife's face.

Reina did not understand what they were laughing at, she felt that her words were not funny? He doesn't wear a clown costume, what's funny? He did not care and lowered his face again. All he wanted at this moment was to immediately leave in front of them.

“Then welcome back! Hope your performance after marriage is getting better. I have to go to my room now. There are a lot of jobs waiting for me.” Verdi said.

Elora and Bobby bow respectfully and Verdi and Felix step into the executive elevator. While Reina was still in her place.

“Rei! How long are you going to stand there?” call Verdi.

Reina jumped and looked. He immediately turned his body and caught up with Verdi entering the elevator. Felix laughed again at Reina's behavior which he thought was very funny and childish. Elora and Bobby could only exchange glances.

“Why did Reina get into that elevator?” bobby asked in surprise when he saw Reina coming into the special elevator with Felix and Verdi.

“Don't tell me that he works as Mr. Verdi's secretary! Elora said gruntingly. The two throw one another a look. “Cannot” say they both at the same time. The faces of the two men also look more sour especially the face of Elora.

“Sial! Why is Reina so lucky?”

“Hei Reina?” call Felix who makes Reina jump awake from her daydream and look at Felix. “You daydream again huh? What's up?”

“No, I'm fine.” replied Reina shakes her head quickly.

“Then you have to focus, do not daydream this has entered working hours. You can go back to daydreaming in the break hours later. Not good most daydreaming while working.”

“Sorry sir.” says Reina.

Felix sighed, in fact he did not have the heart to be firm with Reina but Varen would be angry if his job was neglected. “Please contact Bu Tiara, have him come to Mr Verdi's room now.” Felix's orders.

“Good sir.” said Reina while picking up the phone on her desk. Seeing Reina who had returned to normal, Felix went back into Verdi's room.

“Did something happen to your wife?” tanyakanya.

“No heck. I saw he wasn't focused this morning. Is everything okay between you guys?”

Varen turned to look at his wife, seen Reina who was talking on the phone.

Actually Verdi was also worried about his wife let alone seeing her grim facial expression. Verdi was sure that something was troubling Reina's mind at the moment.

“Is it possible because of his meeting with Bobby earlier that made it so?” guess Felix while stroking his chin.

“Don't he still have feelings for Bobby? She may be jealous so her concentration is gone.” open again.

Verdi stared intently at his cousin. “You better take care of your work. Bring your report immediately!”

“Ha ha ha don't take it seriously! I'm just kidding?”

“But I'm not kidding! Go back to your room and work on your report! Why did you linger here and talk vaguely?” his orders firmly. His face looked stiff and his gaze turned giddy.

Felix sighed, “Alright. I'll work on it now. Looks like you did fall in love with that woman huh.”

“Go!” expel Verdi.

Felix just laughed as he stood up from his seat, he was amused to see his cousin's reaction. Regardless of Varen's sharp gaze, Felix stepped away towards his study.

Varen heaved a sigh of relief, what Felix said might have a point as well. Reina is annoyed with Bobby even though she realizes that Reina still has feelings for Bobby but Varen believes Reina will remain loyal to him.

‘Why do you still keep your love for too long Reina? Didn't you promise to forget that jerk?’

After she finished calling, Reina extended her neck peering into her boss's study. Thirty minutes ago Bu Tiara and two members of the personnel team entered the meeting room connected to Verdi's room. Because Reina felt that her boss was busy she took her phone and ran to the toilet.

Not to forget Reina left a note on her desk that said, ‘Sedang to the toilet. Please wait!’

As soon as Reina leaves, Verdi calls Reina on the phone at her desk but is never answered. Verdi, who was surprised, said to Felix, “Please ask Reina for a report from yesterday's meeting!”

“Good, sir!” Felix nodded then got up and walked out to meet Reina.

“Where is he?” felix muttered when he did not see the woman there. Felix dings looking for him, when he gets to Reina's desk he sees the note Reina left on the table. Felix couldn't help but laugh.

“Reina…..Reina. What the fuck? Hahahaha is the supermarket cashier used for this record?”

Felix took a picture of Reina's writing and returned to the meeting room. As soon as he entered, Verdi was already looking at him with a sharp and demanding gaze moreover he saw his cousin was still giggling amusedly.

“Sorry sir. This is the document you want!” Felix thrusts his cell phone at Verdi.

Verdi read the writing on his cousin's phone screen, his pupils rounded when he realized that Felix had pricked him. “Sit.” he said with a smile on his lips. Verdi continued the meeting.

“So for the budget that you have compiled, I want everything to be revised according to the points that we have discussed before. And for the recruitment of new employees you must work with the HRD team about...”.

Verdi's words were cut off due to the vibration of the phone nailed to his suit. He was about to turn off his phone but when he saw the name of the person who contacted him, he decided to answer it.

“Meeting will be continued by Mr Felix!” he said as he got up from his seat and walked towards his study.

“Varen! Finally you answered my phone...” said Reina who sounded worried.

“So I was-”

“Varen! It turns out Elora and Bobby work here too! The two traitors are still working in the same company as me.” complained Reina.

“Oh really? You know where it came from? What met them?” ask Varen to pretend.

“Iya! And Elora threatened to fire me! I'm so scared, what if I'm really fired? Is it hard to get a job with the work experience I have? His salary is also huge! How's this?”
