CHAPTER 47. REASON FOR REJECTION

Varen smiled wryly, he doubted Reina's words. During this time Varen felt his grandmother only considered him as a substitute for his son. He demands that Varen be like his father, Samara even change his name with his father's name. ‘If my face does not look like papa, maybe grandma will never consider me cucuna.’ whispered Varen heart.

Meanwhile, in a luxury European-style house looks Samara standing in front of the window while holding an iron trellis that frames the window. His hands clenched firmly on the trellis to the point of making his fingers whiten.

“So Varen is still with the woman now?” samara asked in a cold voice.

The middle-aged man standing behind him nodded, “Iya Madam. Most likely the wife of young master does not pretend.”

Samara turned around smiling here. “But he's easily tempted by money! Use reason for business capital with her husband too! She thinks I'm stupid?”

The man lowered his head in fear that his words offended the great madam. Samara walked to her luxurious sofa and sat down and took a picture frame in front of her. He stared at the face of the blue-covered man who was smiling while hugging Samara.

“I don't want Varen to be stuck with a woman with two eyes like her mother used to be. After failing to get my money, the woman was determined to sabotage her husband's car just to get insurance money. I don't want to lose a second time.”

Samara closed her eyes while taking a deep breath. Recalling the cause of the accident that befell his son. She still vividly remembers her son's last words asking Samara to keep Varen away from her mother's family. Varen's father, Verdi Bimantya Kezie, said his wife and father-in-law approached him for money.

He only learned of it when he heard his father-in-law's conversation with Hasena regarding the debt Ginto Saskara owed him. Upon learning of the fact, Verdi intends to pick up Varen from her in-laws' house at the time and take her away. However, Ivana who caught Verdi standing in front of his father's office immediately prevented him from leaving.

They had a big fight and Verdi got into his car and unconsciously Ivana came in after him. As Verdi's car drives along the highway, Ivana realizes that her husband's car has been damaged. He asked Verdi to stop the car. But it was too late when a truck speeded towards them and Verdi lost control.

The car brakes were sabotaged, eventually an accident occurred that claimed the lives of both. Verdi only survives the day after the accident while Ivana goes into a coma for a few days and eventually dies. Samara shed her tears.

“After losing her daughter, I thought Saskara would come to her senses but it turned out that I was wrong. He even used Varen to pay his debt to Hasena.”

“If I had known of the man's devious plan, I would never have allowed my granddaughter to come home to see him.” Samara said in a trembling voice. Muffled all the feelings of anger, disappointment and hate in his heart.

Ezra looked at the old woman before him with pity, he knew very well all the difficulties Samara faced because of the Saskara family. “What will the Madam do now? Shouldn't the madam explain everything to the young master so that he knows the real reason and reality?”

Samara looked at Ezra sharply, “What should I explain to her? Do I have to say if Saskara deliberately married her to Hasena's granddaughter in order to get her the insurance money her father left behind?”

Samara's emotions are raised when she remembers Ginto Saskara's scheming behind her granddaughter's marriage. A few days after Varen's marriage, Samara learns that her son's insurance money has been frozen on Varen's wedding day. Samara thought that the money was deliberately frozen because Saskara regretted never using it.

But it turns out that one can not be disbursed because Verdi changed the life insurance policy holder to make Varen as an heir. And the insurance money will be disbursed if Varen gets married. Saskara who knows it uses Varen. He deliberately arranged Varen's match with Hasena's granddaughter so that some of the insurance money fell to Hasena as a debt payer.

It took a lot of hard work to figure out this secret, Samara learned everything from Saskara's family lawyer who also benefited from the insurance money that Verdi left behind.

“I don't want to make Varen back down. Enough with me he feels hurt, let him assume his grandfather really loves him.” Samara said.

“For a while you just keep an eye on that woman's gestures. I heard that his nature is different from his family. But we still have to be careful. Blood is thicker than water. If her brother and both parents are crafty people, that woman is certainly not much different.”

Ezra nodded his head. “Good mistress.”

“Now go. I want to be alone.” Samara shook her hand.

Without being asked twice, Ezra immediately left Samara, who was still looking at a picture of her dead son.

This morning as usual, Reina woke up early and took a bath, cooked and had breakfast with Varen.

But something upset Reina this morning. Not Varen who suddenly disappeared again like the morning before but the sound of vibrating his phone that continues to disturb him.

Dretttt dreeettt……

Again the sound of the vibration of the phone was heard, for some time Reina saw the name Kaifan HRD appear on the screen of her phone. “You what the hell is that guy constantly calling?” grumbled Reina was upset. He was forced to answer the call in a cold and sniffy voice.

“Good morning Reina. What are you doing? Have you had breakfast yet? I sent you breakfast, huh?”

Reina frowned at hearing such an insignificant question from Kaifan. The questions reminded her of Bobby, her ex-husband. It used to be when Bobby approached her that he often asked the same question as Kaifan. That's what pisses him off and disgusts this guy.

“Sorry Mr. Kaifan. Whatever I do and do. You have no right to know. And again yes, I want to remind you if I want to have breakfast or not it is none of your business. So please don't call me again. Because my husband and I feel very disturbed with you.”

Reina immediately disconnected the call after she finished talking and put down her phone rudely.

“Basic is not polite! Men have no brains! Already know married people still bother!”

Reina is very upset that Kaifan is acting as if she does not know that Reina is married. Kaifan has met Varen. Reina was deliberately cold and firm to him because she did not want to cause misunderstandings between herself and Varen.

Varen came out from inside the room, she frowned hearing Reina who was nagging herself. He also approached his wife. “What's up? Why are you so angry so early in the morning?” ask Varen.

Reina jumped in shock because Varen was behind her, almost the plate fell.

“Can't ya you it don't surprise me keep?”

“I didn't surprise me. You are too focused angry.” refute Varen. “It's almost six o'clock. Get ready for the office, let me continue washing the dishes.” Varen took a plate full of foam from his wife's hand and continued to wash the dishes. He heard Reina's phone vibrate and grabbed the phone.
