CHAPTER 82. EFFORT TO BREAK HEARTS

Reina wanted to get home and calm down. After paying the taxi fare, Reina entered the house. He immediately stripped off his clothes and walked to the bathroom. Reina's head and heart were hot, she needed a bath to cool herself down. When the cold water hit her head Reina grimaced with pain.

Somehow as bad as what a wound jambai caused Elora but Reina's head hurt and sore. She also wears shampoo and rinses her hair slowly.

“Reina.....” came the voice of Varen who shouted to call his name. Soon a knock on the bathroom door was heard.

Reina did not deny, she was even engrossed in bathing and soaking in the bathtub while enjoying the fragrance of aromatherapy candles. The knock on the door was heard again but Reina was still ignoring.

“Reina....you're okay inside?” Varen called his wife's name again. An hour ago her mother-in-law called her.

Indira tells Varen about Reina and her brother's quarrel. He also reported that Reina had gone home because she was worried that Varen would come home soon.

“Reina. Open the door Reina! Reina quickly open the door or I'll break it!” threatening Varen who was worried waiting for his wife who was too long in the bathroom.

The bathroom door opened and Reina walked out. Reina's fresh face with wet hair and a fragrant body. Varen was also relieved to see his wife was fine.

“Why don't you say?” Varen asked as he followed Reina who was sitting in front of the mirror.

Reina did not respond, as if deaf did not answer her husband's question. He took the moisturizer and flattened it onto his facial skin. Varen frowned at Reina, usually if it had been quiet this means Reina was angry with him. But Varen was confused as to what was causing his wife to be angry. He was also worried when he saw the claw wound on his wife's face.

“Reina....what's up? Why did you shut me up?” asked Varen while watching his wife who was applying powder carefully. Reina still remained silent and did not open her mouth in the slightest. He thinks Varen's not there. For a while he wanted to silence Varen because it was better than going berserk.

“AKH!” Reina grimaced when accidentally her injured scalp was hit by a comb. Soon Varen checked his wife's head. His facial expression hardened when he saw Reina's scalp was injured and there was an empty crack in his head due to her hair falling out. Varen took the comb out of Reina's hair very carefully.

“Why did you fight with Elora?” the question came out of Varen's mouth. She didn't want to ask that because she didn't want to make Reina angry. But seeing Reina's injured state he became curious about the trigger of their quarrel. Varen sighed when he found his silent wife of a thousand languages.

He kept the comb and just left the room leaving Reina. Reina's eyes turned softly as she stared at Varen's back in the mirror. Although their marriage still counted fingers but Varen's attitude made him comfortable. Reina could not imagine that she had to live without her husband.

Reina hid her face in both hands while laying her elbows on the dresser. There was the sound of the door opening followed by footsteps approaching.

“This will be a little sore.” said Varen. Then something cold touched Reina's injured scalp.

Reina grimaced as she straightened her body. It turned out that Varen was rubbing the ointment on his head.

“Try me to see your face.” he said as he turned Reina's body to face him and crouched down. “Is it better if we just go to the doctor? I'm afraid your wounds will scar.” he murmured. Varen applied the ointment to Reina's face carefully.

He gasped when he saw Reina's tears flowing and mixed about the wound on his face. Varen is confused by what happened to his wife.

Varen frowned then nodded. Reina's heart shriveled and felt pain turned out her brother did not make up the story. “Don't I say I don't like you being close to Elora? Why are you still approaching him?” furious Reina while hitting her husband's chest while teary-eyed.

Varen immediately caught Reina's hand. “I can explain. We're just talking---”

“I hate you Varen!” pekik Reina cut off her husband's words. He stared at Varen's face fiercely. “You and Bobby are the same. You two assholes!” she refused to listen to her husband's explanation.

Varen tried to explain his situation. “Reina please hear me---”

“GO! Get out of here or I will leave this room.” threatened him.

Varen gasped with his wife's anger.

“Reina....listen first to me--”.

Reina immediately got up and stepped towards the door.

Just as he was about to pass through the door, Varen clamped his hand. “Good. I'll be out of the room.” said Varen. He relented so Reina would be calmer. And tomorrow Varen will explain everything. “Rest! You must be tired of helping at the cafe all day.”

Reina turned her face unable to look at her husband's face.

“Starting tonight you can't sleep in this room anymore. We better sleep in a different room.”

BLAM!

Reina slammed the room door and locked it. He believes this is the best for him. Before his feelings for Varen grew bigger and bigger. Reina had to cut it first.

Reina realized that Varen's attitude had managed to melt her heart. Even in a short time Varen managed to help him forget Bobby. Varen also helped him treat the heart injury that Bobby incised. But the words of Elora today awaken him. Reina could have forgotten Bobby easily but not necessarily with Varen.

Although Varen and Elora have not been together for long but it does not rule out the possibility of growing feelings between them. Just like Reina felt at this moment. It is not impossible for Varen to link her heart to Elora who is more beautiful and attractive than she is. Reina stepped towards the bed.

He lay down and pulled out a blanket to cover his body. For a moment she looked at the sofa of her husband's bed.

“Varen. But give me time to rearrange my heart. I don't want to be too careless to give up my heart and end up in the same pain a second time. I'm sorry.”

Three days had passed but Reina still remained silent Reina did her usual activities. Wake up early in the morning cooking, have breakfast together and go to work. But Reina did all of that in silence. He only spoke a word or two because he had to. Varen also carried out his activities as usual.

It's just that, during these three days he's been talking more than before. He tried hard to make Reina not angry anymore. In order to melt his wife's heart he did many things.

Showing concern, apologizing, admitting mistakes, giving attention and even Varen trying to say sweet words to his wife.
