CHAPTER 32. YOUR POSITION IS HIGHER

‘Damn it! Elora makes me look bad in front of Mr Verdi!’ reina's grunts in her heart.

“Until when do you want to stand like a statue here?” Verdi looked at Reina who was still standing unmoved with her head down. She wanted to know what made Reina look like that.

“Do I have to open the elevator for you huh?” tanyanya while raising her eyebrows.

Reina jumped and immediately scanned her ID card and allowed Verdi to enter first. He stood beside Verdi then pressed the top floor button.

“Other times if someone bullies you like before, you have to fight! Your position is higher than Elora, Bobby or anyone else in this company! Do not be a weak woman who is just afraid and does not dare to do anything to protect yourself.”

As the elevator door opened, Verdi stepped out leaving Reina who was staring at him in surprise. “What does it mean to say that? So he wants me to fight that? Fighting with Elora? Ck!”

Reina walks into the study, turns on the computer and starts her daily chores. He went to the potty as usual to make peppermint tea for Verdi.

It didn't feel like he was in front of the computer for two hours. “Reina reset the meeting with Mr Narenda! What have you done?” ask Felix to get to Reina's desk.

He carried a pile of maps in his hand, his tired face not as bright as usual. Her blackened eyes indicate she is not getting enough sleep.

“I have reset it and also have informed secretary Pak Narenda about this. The meeting will be held at lunchtime.”

“Alright then. Try to reconfirm to Pak Narenda.”

“Good Sir!”

“Oh yes! And this...” Felix placed the map he was carrying on Reina's desk. “That's an ongoing project report and some documents regarding investments and important agreements of the company. You learned everything? No rejections.”  

“Heh? Everything Sir?” Reina stared at the pile of documents Felix had placed on his desk.

‘This is so much I have to learn? Am I just a secretary? Why study project investment and there is business development as well? Huh huh? I am a secretary, am I not a manager or a director?’ Reina was a bit confused as she looked through the document.

He was surprised by the number of documents and reports he had to study because after all this was not part of the duties of a secretary. He was never involved in any projects or the creation of any important documents of the company. Well, this is why he had everything to learn? Like being the leader of a company?

Felix nodded with a smile showing his sweet dimples, “My time in this company is not much anymore. So you have to prepare yourself to replace me accompanying Mr. Verdi running this company.”

Reina was stunned to hear Felix's explanation. He closed his mouth and looked at Felix with teary eyes, “Father is sick? What is severe father's disease? I pray you get well quickly ya.”

“Hahaha…..What the fuck is you Reina! I'm healthy, I mean you have to accompany Mr Verdi because I have to go back to London!”

“London?” Reina asked, twitching her forehead.

“Keep, why did I replace my father? I'm Mr Verdi's secretary? Will there be a new secretary? Or how?” his frown was getting more and more, he was getting more and more confused.

“Iya I'm going to London. Because this company has been held by Mr. Verdi so I have to hold the company that I used to hold there. And after I leave, you will replace me with Mr. Verdi! It clear? You learn all this! Your time is not much so make the most of it!”

“Do you understand why I asked you to learn all this? Your responsibilities will be even greater! You will work with Mr. Verdi to develop this company! Rei...this is an opportunity for you to develop your career! I hope you don't give up until here! I'm sure you can.” said Felix encouraging Reina.

“Iya Sir. Thanks for everything. I was able to get this job with my father's help. I promise I won't disappoint you!” Reina nodded steadily.

Felix smiled at Reina again, if the woman was not married, she would be fascinated and pursue Reina. But unfortunately for Reina, Varen's smile was sweeter and intoxicating than any man's.

“Then, please make me coffee and inter-room.” said Felix passed from before Reina.

“Ck! Why the hell do all men love that shitty drink?” decak Reina got out of her seat and headed to the pantry to make some coffee for Felix.

When the afternoon break was over, Reina went to accompany Verdi to a meeting with an outside client. Felix was supposed to be accompanying Verdi because it was his job but because he was exhausted staying up all night working on presentations for new projects eventually only Reina and Verdi left.

Reina looked at Verdi's back walking in front of her, for some reason she felt familiar with the back that reminded her of her husband's burly back. In fact, he often felt that Verdi's attitude and attention to him was exactly what Varen did to him.

As he was about to board the car, Verdi said, “Sitting in front. I'm not your driver.” Verdi opened the door for Reina who was stunned by the attitude of her boss who served her.

As soon as the two of them were sitting in the car, Verdi suddenly brought his face closer, Reina stiffened and felt Verdi's hand touch her waist. Unknowingly Reina pushed the man's body and directly slapped him.

PLAKKK!

“Do not mess with me!” Reina pointed her index finger at Verdi's face with a voice trembling furiously. He did not expect that his superior was a perverted man who liked to tease his subordinates.

Verdi held onto his left cheek, his eyes glaring at Reina angrily, “What the hell are you? Why did you slap me?”

“Father first who is near me and hold my waist! Why is even the father who is angry with me?” said Reina ketus with a red face holding back anger.

“Success belt you tuh. I just put a seat belt on. Don't want to get close let alone touch you! Don't accuse anyone recklessly, I am your boss!” verdi said snorting annoyed that Reina slapped him quite strongly.

“Safety belt?” reina's countenance changed, she glanced at the slightly stretched seat belt. “Ma--ma---sorry sir. I think you want to pervert me.” said Reina realized her mistake. He grimaced looking at his former slap on Verdi's cheek.

“Pair your seat belt! That's why the eyes are used before the mouth! Don't just be quick!”

Verdi was really upset then he straightened his seat and drove off the car. Reina glanced at her superior, “I'm sorry sir. I was wrong to slap Dad. You should have just said the same to me so as not to misunderstand.”

“You yalahin me?”

“Ti—no sir. Sorry!”

Verdi did not respond and continued to drive his car with annoyance. On the way, no one spoke. There was only silence in the car, so silent Reina atmosphere to hold her breath because of fear. He also did not dare to glance at Verdi let alone invite him to talk. Reina threw a look out.
