CHAPTER 21. TRAITOR'S ARRIVAL

It did not feel like time passed so quickly, two weeks Reina had worked at Kenz Corp. during that time Varen always waited for him at a crossroads. Although there were not many things they talked about during the return trip but Reina enjoyed every moment together with Varen. Just like the previous nights, Reina should have finished work tonight and gone home.

But tonight Reina still has to attend a meeting with her boss. Work on the project was problematic and made a bit of a mess at the company which caused Verdi to be busy getting things done. As CEO secretary, Reina also inevitably had to be swift to accompany her boss to work overtime.

Reina looked out the glass window of her room, the sky was already dark a sign of day changing night, she glanced at her watch already showing eight o'clock at night. Reina started to get nervous because she remembered Varen who must have been waiting for her at the intersection of their house. Unfortunately again Reina can not tell Varen that she will come home late.

Reina's phone was left in the bag while she was still in the meeting room. He could only hope that the meeting would be over soon so that he could go home. She didn't want to worry her husband.

“However the problem regarding this raw material should be solved immediately. And for the project check I leave it to Mr. Bobby. Tomorrow he's back at work.”

Suddenly Reina's heart trembled upon hearing Bobby's name mentioned. She remembered her ex-husband. But Reina did not immediately dismiss his thoughts, it is impossible that Bobby worked at the same company with him? The name of the company Bobby worked for was not Kenz Corp but SKA Company.

“If you have understood, today's meeting we have arrived here. Tomorrow morning I want a report from every department already on my desk.” Verdi said.

Reina smiled broadly, she was already impatient to go home soon and meet her husband who was either still waiting for her at the intersection or not.

When Reina was about to walk out of her boss' room, Verdi called out to her. “Reina, for the meeting with Mr. Narenda tomorrow please you rearrange the schedule. Tomorrow we should go monitor the project.”

Reina nodded, “Good, Sir. Then what about meeting with the personnel and marketing team? Was it canceled too? Or on reschedule again?”

“Cancel it, I will talk directly to the person in charge.” Verdi said.

After her conversation with her superior was over, Reina immediately walked out of Verdi's room and got ready to go home. The day is getting late and it will be harder to get a taxi in this area.

Just as Reina enters the elevator, Verdi follows her into the elevator. Although Reina had often been in the same elevator as Verdi but given the late night, Reina felt uncomfortable.

“I'll take you home. It's late, it's not safe for women to take a taxi alone at this hour.” bargain Verdi when Reina was about to get out of the elevator.

“Thank you sir. But I can go home by myself. Excuse me.” reject Reina. At first glance he glanced and saw Verdi's jaw stiffen and the look in his eyes turned sharp.

But Reina doesn't heed it, she's afraid Varen misunderstands if Verdi takes her home. Moreover, it was already night, she just wanted to keep her husband's feelings alone. As soon as he got to the highway in front of his office, it happened that a taxi passed by and stopped right in front of him. Reina did not waste the opportunity to directly get into a taxi.

He told the taxi driver his destination address. Along the way he fidgeted as he glanced at his watch. Several times she sent messages and contacted her husband but Varen did not reply or answer her calls. “What could he possibly have slept for?” muttered.

When the taxi that brought her to the intersection, Reina was disappointed to not find the figure of Varen waiting for her in an ordinary place. ‘Ah, it's already quite late. It's possible that he's gone home.’ inwardly.

Indira and Chandra are astonished to see Reina's appearance in a work suit. “Finally you're home too. No need here so on us.” said Indira.

While Chandra squinted his eyes, seeing the appearance of his daughter who was not as usual. “Where have you been coming home this time? Where's your useless husband?” tanyakanya.

“I just got home from work. Varen may be in.” said Reina without the slightest bit of respect.

Chandra and Indira are shocked to learn that Reina is already working. However they did not show it, and still as usual looked at Reina with a look of disdain.

“Inside there is no one. We've knocked many times but no one answered.”

Reina frowned insensibly, she opened the door and invited her parents in and offered them a drink but was refused. Even though Reina was just a stale base on them.

“We stand only. Sofamu is old, afraid of dusty later our clothes dirty.” reject Indira again.

Reina was offended by her mother's words.

But he refrained from being provoked by their emotions and fuss. She went to call her husband. “Varen?” call him to open the door.

There was no one in the room, he checked the bathroom was also empty. Varen is not at home.

“Walked? Look, pa, what's mom saying? That Varen must've made our calf his milk cow. This has been proven, right? At this hour Reina just came home from work but her husband was crawling somewhere. Not clear! Good thing Elora is married to Bobby!”

“Varen is not crawling! Don't talk recklessly. He just hasn't come home yet, usually he's already home at this hour.” Reina defended her husband. She did not accept that her parents were prejudiced about her husband. What right did they have to interfere in his life? Did they throw it away themselves?

“Alaaaa. His behavior has never changed. Always living under the armpit of my wife. No work, only play mobile phone. The work is not clear so.” taunted Indira. "Suami as soon as you defend. Yes, both of you are suitable! Ssma-sama is useless!"

“Enough! Varen isn't like that? Did you come here to mock and insult him?”

Reina took a breath trying to temper her emotional turmoil.

His parents' accusation that Varen lived under his wife's armpit is a big mistake. Because all this time Varen always met all his needs very well. He gave money to Reina every day.
