CHAPTER 19. BOSS SUCKS

“Pak Verdi?” kaifan said widening his eyes to look at the man before him.

Kaifan's voice resuscitated Reina, she immediately stood up and Verdi released her hand from Reina's body.

“Thank you.” said Reina then walked behind Verdi. Before the elevator door closed, Reina saw Kaifan smiling at her. Reina really felt uneasy and disgusted with the man's attitude.

“Do I have to press the elevator button for you?” verdi's cold voice resuscitated Reina from her daydream. He patted his forehead again, he remembered Kaifan had called the man by the name of Verdi, it meant that the man was Verdi Kenzie, his superior. The CEO is working now. How could she forget about this man she met back then?

“Sorry sir!” reina said as she stepped forward to press the elevator button number four and eight. The elevator went fast to the top floor. When the elevator stopped, the elevator door opened and Verdi stepped out and said without looking at Reina,

“Do not repeat again.”

“Sorry?” Reina looked up at her superior with a clueless look.

“Don't ever think long just to press the elevator button. And don't smile at male employees. You are here to work not to smile at men.” said Verdi then stepped away to his room.

Reina was still dumbfounded by her boss's words, “Growing a smile? I'm just being polite, not smiling! That sucks anyway?” Reina was offended by her boss's accusations. By stomping her feet she went to the desk and put her bag inside the bottom desk drawer.

“Reina make me coffee! The dose is two tablespoons of coffee, one spoon of sugar, 150ml of liquid milk and 100ml of hot water. Remember well and never be wrong! You should prepare coffee every morning for me. Make sure the coffee is on my desk every morning when I come. You understand?” verdi said giving orders to his new secretary.

“Good sir. I will remember it well. I made the coffee first.” Reina stepped out of her boss room into the pantry, before long a cup of coffee was brought back for the boss. But when Verdi sipped the coffee, he immediately spouted it out.

“What do you make? This does not match what I asked for!” verdi said coldly.

“Sa-- I made according to the dose you gave.” replied Reina nervously.

“Make again!” verdi's orders.

Now Reina is in the pantry making coffee for her boss. “Two coffee spoons, one sugar spoon, 150ml of liquid milk and 100ml of hot water. You have to remember it carefully.” Verdi's words that continue to be tempted in the ear Reina makes his ears hot because it has been more than ten times Verdi repeated it until Reina hapal concocted Verdi's favorite coffee.

Verdi Kenzie, the CEO of Kenz Corp whom Reina should have respected turned out to be the man she hated the most because of his cold and rude attitude. Not only did Reina accuse him of smiling, she also scolded Reina because the coffee she brewed did not suit Verdi's taste.

Though the coffee ingredients that Reina made are in accordance with the measure that Verdi wanted, but for the umpteenth time the coffee ended up in the trash. I don't know what kind of coffee Verdi wants. But Reina was getting upset with her boss. Handsome but fierce! That was how Reina cursed Verdi in her heart.

“Two spoons of coffee, one spoon of sugar, 150ml of liquid milk and 100ml of hot water.” said Reina to make sure back all the ingredients that will be blended are in accordance with the dose.

Reina mixed all the ingredients together and stirred them. After he finished, he put it on a tray and took it to Verdi.

This time it was the twelfth coffee he had delivered. He prayed that Verdi would like his coffee this time. Verdi lifted the coffee cup in front of him, then sipped his coffee. The man's forehead immediately frowned as he felt Reina's coffee.

“Are you deaf? Or are you stupid? Why can't you remember the amount of material I mentioned? How many times do I have to repeat and you understand?”

Verdi's sharp words pierced Reina's heart to make her eyes hot and teary. Verdi was rude, not enough to accuse Reina and scold her, he also called her deaf and stupid.

Reina gritted her grip on the tray in her hand until her knuckle turned white. He was upset and hurt at his boss's words.

It felt like she was cursing back but considering this was her first day of work and she desperately needed this job, Reina tried to be patient and hold herself back.

But after thinking about it Reina did not want to be silent, this time she dared herself to question her mistake to her boss who did not have a conscience.

“Sorry sir. I have made coffee with the amount you mentioned. Two spoons of coffee, one scoop of sugar, 150ml of seek milk and 100ml of hot water. Everything is in order then what is wrong with the coffee? What kind of coffee do you want?” reina asked with a trembling voice as it held back the crying.

Verdi held up his sitting position and folded his hands in front of his chest. The two manics looked at Reina sharply, “I know the measure is correct but that's not what I want! Make again!” verdi's orders in a cold voice. He stared at Reina sharply which made the woman even more frightened.

Reina took a deep breath then exhaled slowly, trying to relieve her upset and hurt. Verdi was truly the roughest and most annoying man Reina had ever known.

“Good sir.” answer. Then he took a coffee cup on the table and walked out of his boss' room.

If Reina does not remember how the efforts of Varen who has supported her to work, maybe now also Reina has given up and chose to resign on her first day of work. But, Reina was unwilling to let Varen down just because of her boss's obnoxious attitude.

He stepped towards the pantry as it was about to open the door Felix called out to him. “Rei...you work here? How's work? Everything's fine, right?” felix asked without the slightest awkwardness as if he and Reina had known each other for a long time.

Though just yesterday Reina knew the man and the man also offered her this job.

Reina sighed as she lifted the tray in her hand, “I've made coffee twelve times. But Mr. Verdi still asked me to make it. I am confused, actually what kind of coffee does Mr Verdi want?” lamented Reina.

“Hah? Verdi drinking coffee?” Felix looks shocked. Reina nodded her head.

“Verdi has a stomach disease! You shouldn't have given him coffee.”

Reina knitted her brows.” But Mr. Verdi asked to make coffee!”

“Maybe Verdi is testing you. Didn't you read the guidebook you received? It should be there recorded medical history Verdi.” said Felix chuckled.

Reina smiled obliquely, she had indeed not read the manual yet.

“Yes already, you made him a drink. I want to report my duties first.” said Felix then sauntered away to Verdi's room.
