CHAPTER 41. TAKE CARE AND PROTECT HIM

Reina stopped and turned to look at Varen who was still bribing fried rice. Then he ventured to talk. “Ehem! Sorry yes I accidentally heard your quarrel just by chance I passed in front of your room. The door is not closed...” Reina silently did not continue her sentence because honestly she also felt bad.

Varen looked at Reina, not understanding the meaning of her sister-in-law. Reina took something out of her pants pocket and put it in front of Varen while saying, “I don't have five million. But I have this, there's only five hundred grand. You just use this money, don't need to be replaced! I still have enough money for myself.”

Then Reina stepped away leaving Varen dumbfounded with her sister-in-law's attitude. Varen looked at Reina's back, which disappeared behind the door of her room. “Thank you.” said Varen lyrics with raging feelings.

He took the five hundred thousand in money with a feeling of gratitude. For the first time someone who had never spoken to him before helped him when he was down.

This really touched Varen's deepest heart. And Reina's kindness that night always stuck in that man's heart. Reina makes Varen feel a variety of feelings that he has never felt so far.

Feelings of raging between sadness, shame, overwhelmed, gratitude, relief all blend into one. The woman managed to make Varen have his own assessment of Reina.

But after that night, she never saw Reina again at her in-laws' house. All she knows is that Reina and Bobby live in their house in a housing complex. Varen never met again just to say thank you or give back the money.

Until that day, on the night of the exchange of couples forced by her in-laws.  She saw Reina crying and slumped into deep sadness.

Flashback off

“Young Master, we have arrived.” said Tanta disperse the reverie of the distant Varen.

Varen shook his head, expelling all the thoughts that filled his mind then glanced at Reina who was still sound asleep. “Tanta!” call him to the driver sitting in front.

“Ya Young Master?” tanta sahut.

“You've been my personal bodyguard since I was a child until now, haven't you? It's been almost twenty-three years.”

“Iya is right Sir. It didn't feel like a long time ago.” replied Tanta while smiling considering Varen's childhood. He's the one who keeps Varen's guard wherever he goes.

“I want you to promise me.” Pinta Varen suddenly who makes the driver and his bodyguard was astonished and scrunched his forehead.

“What promise is Young Master?”

“Please promise me, no matter what happens, make sure Reina stays safe and you always have to look after her and protect her. You can stay loyal to my grandmother but never hurt Reina. She is a kind and sincere woman. I don't want him to suffer and be hurt by anyone.”

Tanta nodded his head with a smile. “I promise Young Master. I will take good care of and protect Mrs Reina. Worry not! I hold my promise to Mr.”

“Thank you Tanta! I trust you.”

Tanta gets out of the car to open the door for Varen. Very carefully, Varen got out of the car while holding Reina and bringing her into the house.

Meanwhile, at the Hasena Family residence, Indira looked sour and continued to grumble. I don't know what she's complaining about makes her husband Chandra Hasena just shake her head. “Why again? You're still pissed off at Reina's house?”

“I'm also surprised! Since coming out of this house his attitude has changed a lot. Maybe he feels great because he is now working and can dress well! But...where does she have money buying clothes that good?” chandra asked who was reminded of Reina's dractical appearance.

His clothes, bags and shoes are not cheap! Her husband is not clear about her work. Where did Reina get the money to buy all that? Hearing her husband's words, Indira thought. Did Reina keep the money in secret? He had only been out of the house for a few days without bringing anything, there was no way he could have enough money to shop.

“About Reina works where does she? If you look at his clothes, he seems to work in the office.”

“Try asking Elora and Bobby later, maybe they know.”.

“Well that's them home. You only ask them.” said Chandra when he saw the child and his daughter-in-law entering the house with a tangled face.

“You why? How come your faces get tangled up like that?”

Bobby and Elora threw eyes at each other as if asking for approval if they should tell the two parents about what happened earlier.

“We go to the room first ma. I'll tell you later!” reply Elora. Step into her room together with Bobby.

While Chandra and Indira shrugged, astonished by the attitude of the two people.

“What's with them? Is there a problem in the office?”

“Do not know! Just wait until they get out of the room. I will ask later.” said Indira.

“What? Reina works in the same company as you?” Indira was shocked after hearing Elora's explanation. After dinner they sit in the living room watching TV. Elora recounts everything that happens in the company by adding a little spice to make it sound more dramatic.

“Yes ma, pa! That's why I'm so upset! Reina wasn't as good as we thought. He actually teased the two bosses in the office? It's embarrassing, right? Not to mention that Varen came to pick her up at the office!” elora said with a look of disgust.

“Basic men don't know themselves! He only used Reina!”

“Ma, Dad! You guys have to do something to get Reina out of the company!”

“Loh why us? Don't you and Bobby have a high position in that company?”

“Ma, B…...Reina is even taller than Bobby! He's the CEO secretary! Just imagine with the work experience he had where he could possibly get the position unless he gave himself up!”

“True Ma, Pa! And I'm pretty sure it was Varen! Must be the one who told Reina to do that? Or it could be her who introduced Reina to rich men to seduce and tempt them to earn money!” bobby chimed in. She still felt furious and jealous of Reina who was being possessive and affectionate towards Varen.

“This must not be allowed! He can't be more powerful than you Elora! Mama won't let that kid beat you! Your education is higher, your work experience is more! How could he have a higher position than the two of you? It doesn't make sense! Except, as you said! Reina did an embarrassing thing to get the job.” said Indira was increasingly provoked by the words of her son and daughter-in-law.
