CHAPTERS 18. SWEET ATTITUDE VAREN

“Ka—you bought breakfast huh?” Reina pointed at the plastic package on the table to divert.

“I bought vegetable lontong and nasi uuduk. It is up to you to eat which.”

“I want to lontong greens only.” said Reina quickly while hastily reaching for plastic from the table and then walking towards the dining table.

Reina wanted to stay away from her husband.

“Wait!”

Reina steps and then turns around. His forehead frowned when he saw Varen lost behind the bedroom door and then came back again. Unexpectedly Varen came back closer then draped his hand Reina neck. The man's face was getting closer making Reina's heart skip a beat.

Reina's reflex closed her eyes while holding her breath waiting for what she expected. Reina's hands clenched tightly as Varen's breath felt on her skin.

“You are beautiful with your hair tied up like this. I put this necklace on, let's just say it's a gift from me.” whispered Varen right in front of Reina's ear.

Reina's body goosebumps feeling the warm air hitting her ears. His lips smiled when he heard Varen praise him. But Varen's words made Reina open her eyes wide, she felt ashamed of herself with her thoughts.

It turned out that Varen did not want to kiss him but tied a necklace around his neck.

He should have gone into the room. He's there picking up a star-shaped pendant necklace. Reina cursed herself shamefully.

She could have imagined that Varen would kiss her. He closed his eyes and waited for the kiss to come.

Varen pulled something out of his pants pocket. “And this is to block your hair from falling while working.” he said while attaching hairpins to the front of Reina's hair.

She further cursed her husband's sweet attitude which made her melt even more. Enough Varen to make his heart work extra, Reina did not want to die young on her first day of work.

Reina took a deep breath and said, “Thank you.” while walking away from her husband.

When she heard the room door open, Reina stopped her steps and turned around, “Varen.”

Varen turned around without saying a word. Only his forehead was cringing.

“Varen, can you use your mouth more? I can do everything myself, I can wear my own necklace, I can clamp my hair too, you just need to tell me.” grumbled Reina then turned around to continue her steps.

“I can't get close to you.” replied Varen.

Reina turned back around while knitting her brows.

“I can't get close to you if I say something to you.” said Varen. “And I can't see the red hue on your face if you do it yourself. I love to see the red color on your cheeks.” he said with a sweet smile that Reina had just seen for the first time.

Then Varen's back was lost behind the door. Reina pecked, her body felt stiff and her tongue was muffled. He touched his chest that was pounding, he smiled widely it turns out that in addition to being good at making Reina hangers apparently Varen can also make him affected by diabetes.

A sweet smile on Varen's flat face made blood sugar in Reina's body rise and caused a sweet taste in her heart and mind. Varen's temptation is deadly, Reina must be careful from now on she must keep her distance until the next two months. Until the time of her marriage and Varen's legalization.

Confidently, Reina stepped into the office where she worked. He greeted the security guard he met politely yesterday. As Reina enters the lobby, a receptionist named Shania calls her, “Mother Reina?”

‘Isn't that special elevator just for executives? Why is Reina allowed to wear it? Reina also feels awkward when Shania calls her mother, she feels old even though Shania looks older than her.

“Shania, call my name only yes.” pinta Reina.

Shania nodded with a friendly smile.

“Shania, instead of special elevators only used for executives only huh? Why am I allowed to wear it?” asked the curious Reina. Because he felt it was too much and he didn't want to make a mistake on the first day he worked.

“Reina is Mr. Verdi's secretary, so you are allowed to use a special elevator. To facilitate your work. If Mr Verdi and Reina have to meet outside, it is impossible to take the elevator separately?”

Reina patted her eel, she felt embarrassed by her own question. Reina laughed softly, “I didn't think until there. Thank you Shania. Then I want to see Mr. Kaifan first.” said Reina.

Reina walked towards the elevator. Then attach the name tag to the scanner next to the door. The elevator door opened and he entered the elevator. Then pressing the number four button, upon arriving at the fourth floor Reuna immediately walked towards Kaifan's room. He knocked on the door.

“Please enter!” kaifan's voice let him in. Reina enters Kaifan's room. The man looked flabbergasted as he looked at Reina's appearance, then he smiled widely welcoming her. “Please sit.” says Kaifan.

“Given the rapid change of CEO secretary so signing of the employment contract will be done next week. So during this week if you feel uncomfortable then you are allowed to withdraw and will not be penalized. But if the contract has been signed, you must work according to the contract.” explained Kaifan.

Reina nodded, “Good sir. I've understood. Oh yes sir about my salary payment during the week, can I be paid daily?” reina asked with a dry smile.

“Oh is fine! Later I will convey to the financial section to be transferred daily to your account.”

“Thank you sir.” said Reina smiling sweetly.

Kaifan smiled back at Reina. “Sounds to be enough. You better get upstairs. Let me deliver.” said Kaifan who immediately rose from his seat.

Reina rejects Kaifan's offer but the man insists. Actually Reina was uncomfortable with Kaifan's friendly attitude. He was troubled by the way Kaifan looked at him.

But Reina tried not to heed her feelings. Maybe because he's not used to hanging out with men so there's a little bit of worry in him.

“Thank you sir. Have delivered.” said Reuna when he arrived in front of the elevator.

“Sama-sama. Come in, I wait until you leave.”

Reina just smiled faintly. Kaifan's kind attitude made her uneasy because she remembered her husband's words, “Don't trust people too much. You should be more careful. Do not easily get acquainted with strangers let alone accept their offer. There are many dangers out there that hide behind a friendly face and a smile.”

Reina attached her name tag to open the elevator door. He was so quick he didn't realize there was anyone in front of him, and Reina almost hit him.

“Sorry!” reina said as she looked up at the man in front of her. Reina was stunned to see the blue netra in front of her, she retreated away but the slippery floor made her shoes slip.

Just as Reina was about to fall, a pair of sturdy hands restrained her body. The man with blue blood quickly caught Reina's body. His right hand supported Reina's back and his left hand coiled around her waist. The distance between them was so close that Reina could clearly see the beautiful blue color of her bead.
