CHAPTER 7. RECEPTIONS

He lived out of the mercy of his father-in-law. Varen relied on his in-laws to feed. It was often Reina heard from the talk of her brother and mother. Reina pecked herself in front of the mirror, she looked at the former Elora dress her mother gave her looks fit on her body.

Reina's appearance looks beautiful and elegant but unfortunately her beauty berkug because of the look of her face that looks grim. Suddenly the sound of the door opening.

Reina glanced at her husband who had just come out of the bathroom, Varen's hair looked wet and the smell of fresh bath soap from her body. Varen took the tie out of his suitcase and stood in front of the mirror.

She stood behind Reina and tried to tie her neck tie. Reina noticed Varen's every move, sighing as she looked at the failed Varen while bonding her tie. Reina turned and went to her husband and said,

“Give me here. Let me help you put.”

 Instead of giving her tie, Varen looked at Reina while furrowing both eyebrows. He looked like he was thinking but before long the look of his face was back as flat as before.

“We will be late if you wear the tie too long.” Reina said as she grabbed the tie from Varen's neck and confirmed the tie position and tied it deftly.

“You really can't wear a tie huh?”

“Can't, just less expert only. Where did you learn this?” asked Varen to touch the tie Reina had finished linking to him.

“I often pair a tie for Bobby. Already used to it.” replied Reina.

The shadow of his friendship with Bobby was present in his mind. The shadow when Bobby went to the office then asked Reina to feed him, tie his tie and even put his shoes on.

All Reina did sincerely because of love and unfortunately sincere to her ex-husband. But in fact Bobby did not appreciate all the sacrifices.

“Can we leave now?” varen's baritone voice breaks Reina's daydream. She tries to strengthen herself to attend her ex-husband's wedding with her biological sister. His story with Bobby is over and now his story with Varen is just beginning.

Reina nodded with a smile, “Come!”

Reina and Varen get out of the house and take a taxi that has been booked. Throughout the journey no one spoke. Only silence is created. They were both silent and immersed in each other's thoughts. Reina glanced at her husband who was busy playing his ponser with a serious face.

Reina turned her eyes to her finger, the ring marks on her ring finger reminiscent of the memories she wanted to forget. He rubbed his thumb over his ring finger trying to remove the ring marks in his hand. He hopes that with the disappearance of the former ring, his love and memories of Bobby will disappear.

But what Reina did was futile, the ring marks were not lost that there was skin that was even peeled. He just silently stared at his finger with a chaotic feeling.

“Come down. We have arrived.” said Varen out of the taxi and reached out his hand to help Reina out.

The woman only smiled faintly welcoming Varen's hand. He also stepped down from the taxi. As soon as he got out of the taxi, he was stunned staring at the poster of Elora and Bobby that was plastered clearly in front of his eyes.

His heart again throbbed pain staring at him. He used to marry Bobby without a fancy party like this because of Bobby's mediocre financial condition.

“Do we have to go home now? Don't force yourself if you can't.”

Reina was surprised by her husband's question. Varen's face looked flat but her eye light implied worry. Reina immediately shook her head. “No need. We're just in.”

Reina held Varen's arm and then stepped into the building. Upon entering the reception room, Reina was stunned to see the luxurious decorations plastered in front of her. Her heart ached again as she saw Elora side by side with Bobby with a happy smile on their face.

“Ya, this is very luxurious.” replied Reina soberly.

“Ya must be fancy. We have prepared this party long ago.” replied Elora who appeared behind her mother.

“What do you mean?” Reina frowned feeling confused.

“Actually me and Bobby have been in a relationship for a long time. And we've been preparing for our wedding for the past three weeks. Aye darling?” firmly Elora looked at Bobby who confirmed Elora's statement.

Reina smiled bitterly, another bitter reality that must be accepted that her husband had been having an affair with his own biological brother. They had already cornered Reina from behind and both her parents knew this even supported her abject brother and ex-husband.

“So you've been cheating behind my back? Wow amazingly so you guys yes.” said Reina held back the pain in her heart. He did not want to cry anymore, he had to be firm and would not let these people laugh at his suffering.

She looked at her mother, sister and ex-husband in turns as if she wanted to remember the cruel and hypocritical faces in front of her.

With a growl Elora replied, “Take your mouth Reina! We're not cheating! We just planned the time perfectly! Not wrong, is it? I supported Bobby's career at the company so he could get his position as a director. And he loves me too! What you? You only know cooking, washing, cleaning the house like a maid!”

“Whatever the reason, planning a wedding over a wedding is cheating! So great all of you! These are the real faces of the people I have loved, I sacrificed all my life to take care of and serve you! But this is the reply? Heh?”

“Silence Reina! You do not deserve to talk rudely to them.” said Indira raised her hand but Reima immediately grabbed her mother's hand.

Reina just looked at her mother, she was sure that her parents had known for a long time the affair of the two humans and just kept quiet and even supported them.

“Why ma? What wrong? They've been cheating all this time and you're my parents protecting and hiding their affair? So great this family!”

Indira again raised her hand to hit Reina but immediately stopped Elora by blocking her mother's hand. “Ma, don't make a fuss here. All guests pay attention to us.”

Elora looks at her sister's bitch, “Be polite as a guest! Don't you embarrass us with that stupid mouth of yours! If you don't like it, you can leave here!”

“Heh, I'm not sure you guys still got shy!” reina quickly said.

Indira grew furious, she clutched her daughter's arm firmly again.

“Go from here! You don't deserve to be part of our family. You know it's just embarrassing us! Mama regrets giving birth to a useless child like you!”

“Mama is aware of what mama said?” Reina looked at her mother. She hoped that if she heard wrong, where would a mother regret having given birth to her own child?

But unfortunately Indira was serious about his words. “Iya! I am so sorry that I gave birth to you in this world! I should have aborted you since I was in my womb! You're that's just---”

“Enough Ma! I get it now. Reina will be gone from the lives of all of you!” reina Tukas.

Then she looked at her ex-husband, “Congratulations on your marriage Bobby! I hope you're not sorry. Let's see how long you can last with your new wife!”

Reina turned around leaving him her family. He no longer wants to be involved with them, he does not want to be hurt again by his family. He also deserves to be happy and live his life.
