Chapters 114. Confusing Situation
Everyone rounded their eyes in surprise when they saw Ayun's whereabouts, while Ayun herself was glued to the doorway from hearing Nindi's words.
"D-laughter?" abbas said softly as he stared at Ayun.
Swing gasped when he heard Abbas's voice, he quickly lowered his head to pick up his food box that had fallen onto the floor.
"A-assalamu'alaikum," said Ayun stammeringly, he felt nervous and awkward at the same time.
Abbas and the others answered Ayun's greeting, making the woman step into the room, Nindi was smiling while looking at Ayun warmly.
"Mister here?" nindi asked quietly while wiping the tears on her face.
Ayun nodded her head in confusion and awkwardness. He wondered why Nindi called him big brother, and also felt clueless about what they were talking about earlier.
Just a moment ago, Ayun came into the room and stood in the doorway right at the moment when Nindi said that she would call him brother or sister. Then, why did Nindi call him that name? He doesn't understand at all.
"Why do you keep quiet, don't you ask how I am?"
Ayun gasped in shock upon hearing Nindi's words. "Yeah. B-how are you, Nindi? You, you're okay, right?" He asked very nervously.
Various questions felt filled Ayun's head at this moment. Somehow he felt uncomfortable, but also curious about what was going on.
"Thank God I am healthy, Mother. Come here," said Nindi as she patted the empty bed beside her.
Swing nodded his head and stepped closer to the bed. The look on his face was not as usual, even his tongue was stiff to get the words out.
Abbas and Keanu looked at each other and wondered if Nindi had heard their conversation. However, from the look of the woman's face is clearly visible if she is confused.
Nindi glanced at the papa, then looked back at Ayun who was currently smiling awkwardly at him. Could it be that the woman had not known if they were siblings?
"What, what are you-"
"Darling!"
Nindi could not continue her words when she heard the call of the papa, but she and Ayun immediately turned to Abbas who was staring at them with sadness.
"The doctor said you have to rest a lot, right? So lie down, and don't make a lot of noise that can drain your energy" Abbas said, then making the doctor who was still there stare in wonder.
Nindi who heard the father's words immediately frowned confusedly, but a moment later she immediately understood what his papa meant because she saw the look of the papa's eyes filled with meaning.
"Are you really okay, Nindi?" tanya Ayun returned worriedly, making Nindi turn to look towards the woman. "I'm sorry I just got here now." He feels guilty.
Though Nindi and the others always help her and are ready to be on standby when Ayun is hit by problems, but he himself does not care when the woman is sick.
Nindi smiled when she heard Ayun's question. "I'm fine, thanks for worrying." He clasped one of Ayun's hands tightly, which the woman immediately replied to.
Swing then remembered the food he had brought. He quickly gave the food to Abbas and Keanu and allowed them to enjoy it.
Abbas received the food with great joy, and he thanked Ayun for bothering to bring it all for them.
"Not bother at all, sir. Please eat, sorry if it tastes bad," said Ayun slowly. For a moment he forgot about Nindi's call to him, and will ask Abbas later.
After giving Abbas food, Ayun turned to Nindi and asked about the woman's current health. Also told about other rights that can comfort Nindi so as not to feel bored.
Moments later, Ayun said goodbye to go to the mother's room because she had to talk about the transplant problem that will be done tomorrow. He left the place and said his greetings and went to his mother's room.
"Why didn't Papa tell Ayun the matter? Is Papa afraid he won't accept it?" nindi asked after Ayun came out of the place.
Abbas let out a rough breath. "Papa hasn't had a chance to say it yet, Nindi. Papa also doesn't know how to react when he finds out later." He's getting restless.
"Just like me, she'll be happy, Pa. I beg you to tell him right now, I want to hug him immediately," pinta Nindi softly.
Abbas rubbed the top of Nindi's head while nodding his head. He then left the room to follow Ayun's departure.
Swing who was currently walking towards the room the mother looked straight ahead with a blank look. Since then he has continued to wonder the reason behind Nindi's call, even though all this time the woman has always called her name.
"Why did he suddenly call Mbak?" muttered Ayun in confusion. "I'm not happy to ask Mr. Abbas." He's clucking pissed.
Never mind, Ayun chose to forget everything. Let's just say Nindi wants to make her a big sister, that's why she calls it that way.
"Dragon!"
Ayun's steps came to a halt when she heard someone's call, and she looked back and was shocked when she saw Abbas walking towards her.
"Mr Abbas?" Ayun looked at Abbas in wonder and wonder.
"I'm sorry to get in your way, swing. But, can we talk for a second?" abbas said softly, his heart has been pounding at this time.
Although feeling confused, Ayun nodded her head to agree to Abbas's invitation. They went to the cafe next to the hospital.
"What would you like Abbas to talk to me about, huh? Why am I so worried?"
