Chapters 17. An Unexpected Coincidence.
Adel's voice echoed in the place making people instantly notice him, while Sherly herself gasped at what the girl was saying.
"You heard me, didn't you? I don't want to have a stepmother, so don't bother my dad anymore. My father belongs to my mother, and not yours!" shouted Adel with teary eyes.
Adel's words clearly made everyone gasp in shock, as well as Sherly who was unable to make her voice.
The woman, who was with Sherly, rushed out to see what had happened, after hearing whispers from the employees working there.
"What, what are you saying, Adel? I don't-"
"Why did you marry my father? You can't marry another man? Why are you making mom and dad fight? They, they even want"
"Attribute!"
Adel could not continue his words when he heard the call of the mother, as he turned back, as well as Sherly.
"Let's go home, boy! Why are you here?" Swing held Adel's arm, but the girl immediately brushed him off.
"No, I don't want to go home!" adel snapped, he then ran to the place where Sherly was.
Quickly, Adel holding Sherly's hand made the woman gasp. "Say, you're not gonna bother my dad anymore, are you? You're not gonna make my mom and dad fight again, are you?" He's pulling Sherly's hand out loud.
Swing glued to see what his daughter did. It was like his chest was being slashed by a knife, especially now that many pairs of eyes were watching them.
"Why are you silent? Answer me!"
"Attribute!"
Everyone again gasped in shock when they heard someone's baritone voice, they all immediately looked towards the door where Evan was already standing at that place.
"Dad see, I've told this woman not to bother you anymore. Now Mom and Dad won't fight anymore."
I swear by anything, everyone who was there was really very shaken when they saw what happened. Has the father of the girl been having an affair with the owner of this ice cream shop? That was what they all had in mind, until a woman who was the older sister of Sherly could not react to anything.
Swing who could not bear to see his daughter immediately approached Adel and hugged him tightly.
"Already, Son. That's enough." Ayun's body trembled as she hugged Adel. He sobbed with grief making everyone become pity.
Sherly was just silent like a statue because she was completely shocked by what was happening right now, while people started whispering and sneering at her.
The employees rushed to apologize and asked people to leave the place, before things got heated up.
"Basic pelakor. Does he have no pity for the boy, can he take someone else's property,"
"Yes right. Her face was beautiful, but her heart was rotten. How could she make someone else's husband? See, the boy suffered because of his father and the actor."
Speech after word of the people lay down for Sherly, making the woman turn her face sobbing.
Evan who had just come and immediately treated to such a sight was really angry, he was sure if Ayun was the one who told Adel to come to see Sherly.
"You two, come home with me!" evan said sharply, he then glanced at Sherly who also glanced at him wryly.
"Wait!"
Swing's steps came to a halt when he heard someone's voice, as did Evan. They turned around and saw who was talking.
"Nindi?" Swing rounded his eyes when he saw the woman he knew so well, making Evan and Sherly stare in confusion.
Nindi looked at Ayun with sadness, she then looked at Sherly who was also looking at her with question marks.
"Do you know him?" ask Sherly softly.
Nindi looked at her half-sister with guts. Yes, Nindi and Sherly are stepbrothers. By the time Nindi was 10 years old, her mother had passed away making her and her father live together. Then, 3 years later. Her father married Sherly's mother and they lived together as a family.
"Sherly you, you married someone's husband?" nindi asked in disbelief. All this time she's been living abroad, that's why she doesn't know exactly whose sister is married to.
"I-it, me, me-"

Everyone jumped in shock as a slap floated right into Sherly's cheek, making the woman stare at the elder sister with a pus.
Swing who saw all of that clearly felt very surprised. He did not expect that the woman he met was still one family with Sherly, even now that Nindi was slapping the woman.
Not only was Ayun surprised, Evan had even almost run when he saw the slap. Obviously he already knew all of Sherly's family, but wasn't close for fear that they would find out if he had children and a wife.
"Sister really didn't expect you to be able to do this lowly thing, Sherly. You, have you lied to all of us?" Nindi looked at Sherly bitterly. How could his sister destroy someone else's household? They even had children.
Sherly lowered her head and could not answer what her brother said. How could his soul be so shaken by what was happening right now, how could this commotion be happening in front of his own elder brother's eyes?
"Look, sister, Sherly doesn't"
"You better shut up, Evan. Do you think you have the right to talk to me?"
Deg.
Evan immediately closed his mouth when he heard Nindi's words, while Ayun was only glued to his place because he did not know what to react to.
Nindi took a deep breath while holding onto her chest which was very painful, really all of this really felt like it was scratching her heart.
"We'll talk at papa's, Sherly."
