Chapter 44. For 20 Years.
"If it's done, I want to rest" said Beny after a moment of silence, and prepare to go to the room.
"Awhile, Dad. There's something I want to show you," cried Ayun to hold back the departure of the father-in-law.
Swing then turned around and picked up something he had just placed behind his body, making them all feel curious. Of course not for Ezra who already knew, and since then he was reluctant to leave the place because he wanted to see the reaction of his father.
"There," said Ayun cheerfully while showing the new phone in his hand. "I bought a new phone because my old phone was broken. How, is this good?" He asked while shaking the phone, and deliberately showed his apple logo towards Evan.
Evan rounded his eyes when he saw the phone that was in the hands of Ayun, while Beny and Mery just stared in surprise because suddenly Ayun bought a touch screen model phone.
"Are you crazy, Swing?" evan shouted sharply, making everyone jump in shock at the sound of his screams.
"Here it is, this is how you react when I buy an expensive phone, right?" Swing smiled sinlessly as he looked at Evan's anger.
Evan quickly moved from the sofa to approach Ayun, and immediately grabbed the cellphone in his hand.
"What did you do?" cry out Ezra sharply. He also got up from the sofa, with a stern look towards the father.
Evan did not mind Ezra's words at all, he stared at Ayun sharply as he gritted his teeth.
"What's up, Mom? Why are you so angry?" asked Ayun softly, feeling that he had done nothing wrong.
"You ask me why I'm angry, huh?" evan shouted in a snapping tone. "Don't you have a mind, why did you buy this expensive phone?" He really did not think about what the woman was doing.
Ezra, who was about to return to talk, was forced to abandon his intentions when he got a signal from his mother to shut up, while Beni and Mery stared at them in confusion.
"What's going on with you, Evan? Swing' isn't it just buying a cell phone, why are you getting this angry?" mery asked cluelessly, What's wrong with buying a new phone?
"Do you know how much this phone costs?" evan asked sharply while looking at the mother, and of course Mery shook his head because he did not know. "This phone is very expensive, and he's squandering my money just for stuff like this!" He was eager to slam the apple-branded phone, but when he remembered the price, he undoed the intention.
Swing smiled bitterly when he heard Evan's words, especially when the man said that he had squandered Evan's money. So, is she not at all entitled to her own husband's money?
"How much is it?" ask Mery back. "Because of cell phones you got like this." He breathed a rough breath.
Evan looked back at Ayun sharply "say, tell me what the price of this phone is!" He spoke with a stifled voice, and a crimson face was extinguished.
Swing kept smiling even though Evan was already angry like that, making the man even more upset. "The price is expensive, 11 million."
"What?" Mery and Beni scream in shock when they find out the price of the phone that Ayun bought. "Yuna, are you kidding me?" Mery stared in disbelief.
Evan looked at Ayun with a guts, his blood as if boiling when he heard the woman's words. "You really are out of your mind. Don't you know if I'm looking for 11 million it's hard work? But you just spent it on useless stuff." His face was full of emotion.
"For 20 years, I bought something for myself. So, isn't this something natural?"
"No!" evan quickly argued. "I don't want to know, you have to give this phone back and replace it with a cheap one." He threw the phone towards Ayun who was immediately caught with a wave.
"Why, why would I do that?" asked Ayun softly, making Evan look at her fiercely again. "Why should I give it back? Did you also say something like this to that woman?" The cynic.
"W-what?" Evan stared uncomprehendingly when he heard Ayun's words.
"For 20 years I have never used money to buy my own things, even if I wear them, I only buy clothes that cost me less. But that woman, the woman who became your mistress. You gave him all the money without asking, you even let him use that money to buy a more expensive phone than this respectfully. What do you think, I don't know that, Mas?" Screeched sharply, making Evan gasp.
"the 20 years I accompanied you and never asked for anything, but you treated me badly for only 11 million dollars. So, what about that woman? Just a matter of seconds, you gave everything to him. You adore him as he has always been with you, by your side when you've been struggling, and fight with you until you've gained success" he added with a soft, vibrating voice.
"Why do you compare him to her? He works, unlike you who just stay at home!"

Evan replied to all Ayun's words sharply, of course, because he could not stand all the babbling of the woman.
Swing was speechless with what Evan said, while Ezra clenched his hands tightly together.
"So that's it, so you think I've been staying at home all this time?" Lirih Ayun with a slick smile, made Evan stare cynically.
"That's enough, stop all this" Mery said with affirmation.
"No, Mother. I won't stop him" Ayun said, looking at the in-laws, then turned back to Evan, who was silent at the spot.
"If he thinks I've been staying home all this time, then I'll show him what I can do out there. But not as his wife, but as Ayundya Nadira. Because after this, we'll meet at the green table, my husband."
