Chapter 8. The Deep Laugh.
Evan was silent when he got a question from Ayun, of course, his silence made the wife's heart more hurt.
"You don't love me, Mom?" ask Ayun again. Obviously she had already gotten an answer, but she wanted to hear it directly from the husband's mouth.
"Why did you ask her?"
Swing and Evan immediately turned to the left when he heard the voice of someone, Ezra was standing in the kitchen doorway while staring with nanar.
"What, do you want something, son?" ayun asked as he walked closer to the son, but Ezra remained silent and instead looked at his father.
Regardless of the mother's question, Ezra walked up to her father who was standing next to the dining table.
"Do you really have a mistress?"
For once again, Ezra asked his father for a direct answer.
Evan fell silent while looking at Ezra sharply, while Ayun was already worried that there would be a fight between them.

"Just answer my question, dear Lord Evan!" snapped Ezra.

Evan gasped in shock when he heard the snapping from his son, as well as Ayun who immediately hugged the man's arm.
"Come with me, Ezra! I'm gonna"
"Take me off!" Ezra brushed off the hand of the mother holding his arm. "Why are you silent? Is my question really that hard to answer, or is it that you don't want to answer?" He stared with a cynical smile.
Evan clenched both his hands full of emotion. For the first time, his own son dared to raise a voice before him.
"Are you not aware of what you're doing, huh?" Ezra looked at his father sharply. "Do you want to embarrass me and Adel?"
"Enough, Ezra!" yelled Evan who could no longer hold back. The sound made Adel who had been in the room rushed down to the 1st floor, as well as Endri.
"I'm your father, you don't deserve to raise your voice or talk to me like that,"
"Then, as a father do you deserve to have an affair with another woman?" reply Ezra with no less emotion. Which child isn't angry when he finds out his father has an affair?
Instantly the atmosphere became hot and also tense, making Ayun's head throbbing pain.
"Both of you, please stop all this," said Ayun slowly, his face was already very pale at this moment.
Evan immediately looked at Ayun cynically. "Teach your son to keep his manners, Ayun. How could she-"

Everyone was silent when they heard Endri's voice. The middle-aged man walked quickly towards them, while Adel was already sobbing behind the wall.
"Have you not made enough noise yet, Evan?" endri asked sharply making everyone bow down. Especially Evan who was currently standing facing to the side.
Endri rubbed his face violently. He really did not expect that his son would be able to do such an embarrassing thing.
"Take your children to the room, Swing," Endri ordered and made Ayun nod.
Swing immediately invited Ezra to go up to the 2nd floor, he was then surprised when he saw Adel was also there.
"Adel's? Let's go to the room, son!"
Adel shook his head making Ayun stare confusedly. "Why did you marry another woman, Mom?" He looked at the mother with tears.
Swing was silent when he got a question from the princess. His heart was completely sliced at the wounds in the eyes of his children.
"You should ask your father, Adel. Maybe he feels single, that's why getting married and having children with other women makes me so embarrassed" Ezra said strongly to her father to hear what he said.
Ezra walked quickly away from the place, making Ayun only able to stare nanar. He then took Adel to the room because he did not want his daughter to hear the chatter of his father and grandfather.
After everyone left, Endri and Evan stayed there. For a moment the two men of different generations were silent with their respective thoughts, until finally Endri opened his voice.
"What do you really think, Evan? Why are you doing something this low?" endri asked in a pane, clearly sounding disappointment from every word he said.
Evan went back to silence with guilt. He was aware that his actions had hurt the hearts of many people, but he himself could not prevent all this from happening.
"I'm sorry, Dad. I, I don't mean to make you angry and disappointed. But I can't do anything either."
Evan is frustrated. Her feelings for Sherly are really very big, that's why she is willing to share the love of Ayun who has been married for 20 years.
"You're no longer the teenager you just fell in love with, Evan. You're a husband, even a father who's had a son who's almost 20 years old. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?"
Endri really did not think out. Actually what is in the mind of Evan so that it can duet the love of Ayun? The man did not even regret doing it at all, Evan only regretted that it had disappointed them.
"I know, Dad. But everything just happened, I didn't even have the power to control it."
Evan was confused. He can't just let Sherly go, let alone have them blessed with a baby. However, he also did not know what to do to ease everyone's anger.
"If you don't love Ayun anymore, think about your kids a little. I'm really very disappointed in you, Evan. I'm very disappointed."
