Chapters 37. Unconscious, Blaming Others.
Everyone was silent when they heard all of Ayun's words. They gasped in shock and did not expect that the woman would say such a thing, especially Evan.
Swing himself stared bitterly at Mery. Really he felt very tired if he had to always fight like this, it felt like every day he almost lost his sanity.
"So please be enough, ma'am. Stop all this debate, I beg you," said Ayun with a raucous voice holding back tears. He looked at the in-laws with a frown, and a frustrated sigh.
Mery was silent in place and could not refute what Ayun was saying, while Abbas pulled the corner of his lips to form a faint smile upon hearing what the woman said.
"If you don't like them, I'll take them away. So, I don't have to be angry anymore." Lirih Ayun while rubbing the back of Mery's hand, made the middle-aged woman sigh violently.
Swing then turned around and looked towards Nindi with a wist. He seemed to be apologizing for what happened through the look of his eyes that were drawn to the woman. Then he looked at Abbas with his head lowered.
"Sorry for making you and your family uncomfortable, Uncle." Lirih Ayun was full of regret for not treating the guests well.
"It's okay, Uncle understands" Abbas said, nodding his head.
"Well then come, I'll drop Uncle off. Once again I apologize for expelling Uncle like this," said Ayun. He was really embarrassed by them.
Abbas nodded his head and invited Nindi and Keanu to leave. But before he actually left. He looked back at Mery sharply.
"I came here only for one purpose, which was to apologize to the woman Sherly had hurt. That's why I've been silent since then even though you keep saying bad, without realizing that the one who should have got your oath is your own son" Abbas said sharply, as quoted by Reuters, his words again stirred up anger in Mery.
Evan himself could only clench his hands tightly together. Obviously he could not argue, because it was he who had made a fuss. But why did it get so bad? There are a lot of people out there doing the same thing.
"I'm saying something like this not to stand up for my daughter, but what your daughter-in-law is saying is true. You should have done that to your son, I still remember very well the night where he came to see me while holding my son's hand, and asked for the blessing to marry. Right, Evan?" abbas said sharply, and ended with a question that was like an arrow piercing through Evan's heart.
All eyes turned sharply toward Evan, while the man only bit his lips as he could not refute what Abbas had said.
"Unfortunately I cannot be present when they get married, if I am present, then at this time your incredibly smart son will definitely not live again" Abbas said with a sarcasm, made both parents Evan gasp.
"Well, I've been talking too much about something that doesn't matter. Excuse me." Abbas nodded his flat face in front of them all, then smiled warmly as he met Ayun's eyes.
Evan and his parents fell silent in their place, feeling devastated by Abbas's words, while Ayun rushed Nindi and the woman's family out of her home.
"Once again forgive me, I'm really sorry for what happened" said Ayun, bowing her head in guilt.
"Why do you keep apologizing, Ayun? Raise your head, you didn't do anything wrong!" rebut Nindi sharply. He held onto Ayun's chin to hold his head up and looked at her.
Abbas smiled when he saw her. He was happy when he saw the strong and courageous nature of Swing. Although the wound felt by the woman was very large, and visible from the glare of her eyes.
After a little chat, Nindi and the others hurried away from the place. Swing led them to get into the car, then waved his hand and responded with Nindi and Abbas.
"Oh Allah, please give me strength" muttered Ayun. He took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly, he was sure that when he entered the house there would definitely be a commotion back.
Meanwhile, Keanu who was driving a car suddenly stepped on the brakes suddenly when there was a man who suddenly ran in front of his car.
Abbas and Nindi jumped up in shock at what happened, their chests pounding in shock at the sight of a man standing in front of them.
"Is he crazy?" yelled Keanu in annoyance. He immediately got out of the car to meet the crazy man who ran to the front of his car.
Seeing that, immediately Nindi and Abbas panicked. They immediately got out of the car to prevent something that Keanu might do to the man.
"Are you out of your mind, huh?" ketus Keanu while clutching the collar of the man's shirt, of course, made Abbas immediately hold his hand.
"Take him off, Ken!" abbas' orders sharply, making Keanu immediately throw the man's body violently.
Some of the people who were in that place seemed to notice them, obviously the people who were there also felt shocked even shouting as Keanu almost hit the man.
"Take it easy, Ken," Abbas said, patting the son-in-law on the shoulder, and asking the man to control his emotions.
Nindi rushed over to the man who had almost been hit by her husband. "You're okay, right? Is anyone hurt?" He asked with a panicked face.
The man shook his head, then looked at Nindi with a glare. "I'm sorry, I deliberately did that because I was in a hurry to stop you."
