S2 Chapter 11. Finally Opening Eyes.
Angga immediately contacted Abbas to inform him that Evan had come to Ayun's house and was looking for the woman, though he was surprised by where the men knew they were living in the area.
After several phone calls but not answered by Abbas, Angga decided to send a message. Perhaps the middle-aged man was currently busy, so he could not answer his call.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, everyone is seen gathered in Ayun's room, except Keanu who remains every waiting for his wife in front of the ICU room.
Ezra immediately told about his meeting with his father to his mother, who is currently in good condition after surgery.
"Your father must be very angry" said Ayun softly. He could already imagine how furious Evan was when they came to the office and teased everything.
"Whatever he gets angry, it won't have any effect on what he has to do, son" Abbas said. "It's all for you and your two children, so it's appropriate that he give it all away."
Ayun nodded her head while sighing harshly. He had indeed obtained the rights that he was fighting for, but how to manage them? He's not very smart in all of that.
"Oh well, there's one more thing you want to tell you," Abbas said next, making Ayun stare with a question mark. "Look, papa and Keanu have prepared a house for you and the others. We thought it would be better if you lived in a comfortable house, and close to the hospital for easy control." He spoke softly, fearing that Ayun would feel uncomfortable.
"Home?" ask Ayun in surprise. "I've rented a house, Pa. Not great, but enough for our home." He felt bad if he was bought a house by Abbas.
Abbas then glanced at Hasna who had been sitting quietly watching them. The middle-aged woman sniffed her shoulders unwilling to interfere, because from the beginning Hasna agreed to all of that even by force from her.
"Papa don't have to bother, we-"
"No, Son. All of that is not a hassle" Abbas quickly denied. Actually he just wanted to provide a comfortable and appropriate place for them, even though he was very eager to bring them all to his home.
"Well, you know you've rented a house for you to live in, and it looks comfortable and safe. It's just that papa wants to be close to you, and give you something you should have given." Lirih Abbas's. "Papa doesn't mean anything bad or want to offend you, son. But please accept, even if you want to stay with me." He looked sad.
Swing speechless when he heard the father's words, he then glanced at his mother who was also looking at him as if saying just take what Abbas gave.
"Really, I really don't want to trouble Papa and Keanu either. But if Papa wants me to take it, then fine. I'll stay in that house, and can I take all my family to live there?" said Swing quietly while commenting on a thin smile.
Abbas who had been looking down immediately looked at Ayun with a bright smile. "Of course, son. You have the right to invite anyone to live there, because it's your home." He nodded his head several times to his happy crotch.
Swing nodded his head with a smile. Actually he did not want anything from the father at all, let alone he did not want to be considered taking a chance with their relationship. However, if all of that could make her papa happy, then she would.
"Excuse me sir, Miss," said a nurse who suddenly entered the room, making everyone look at her.
"Yes, what's the matter, sister?" asked Ezra who happened to be sitting by the door.
"I'd like to let you know if Miss Nindi is conscious by now,"
"What?" Everyone shrieked in shock upon hearing the woman's words. Abbas quickly ran out of the room to see his daughter, while others stared in disbelief.
The woman nodded her head with a faint smile. "Yes, Miss. Come, I'll help you to see him."
Ayun's tears immediately fell on her face upon hearing the woman's reply, she then nodded enthusiastically and got ready to meet her sister. So did Hasna and Yuni, who also rushed to see the state of Nindi.
Abbas, who was not far from the ICU room, immediately approached Keanu, who was standing right at the door. "Ken!"
Keanu immediately turned his head towards the back when he heard someone's call. "Papa?"
"W-how is Nindi? What, is he conscious?" ask Abbas stammering. His face looked anxious and panicked as he turned towards the ICU room.
Keanu then tried to calm the in-law and took her to sit in the chair that was in that place. "Calm down, Pa. Right now the doctor is checking her condition, and well. He's already conscious."
Abbas immediately gave great thanks to God for making his daughter aware, not forgetting that he also continued to pray for the state of Nindi is fine.
Not long after, Ayun and the others gathered at the place, along with the exit of the Doctor from the ICU room.
Abbas and Keanu rushed to the Doctor and asked how Nindi was doing, as were Ayun and the others.
"Miss Nindi's situation is quite stable right now, sir. We have done a thorough examination, but he has not been able to be moved from the ICU room for the next few days, because he still has to undergo a rigorous examination" said the doctor.
They were then allowed to enter the room but had to be one by one, and should not take long enough.
One by one they went in to meet Nindi who was completely conscious, but was still in a limp and unable to move. Until it was time for Swing's turn to go to see his sister.
"Nindi," called out to Ayun with a cry she was trying to endure. He rushed to the woman in a wheelchair, and was pushed by Ezra.
Nindi looked at her brother with tears that had fallen on her face, of course she knew about Ayun who had donated spinal cord to her.
"And I have given all things to You, O God. I've even asked my husband to marry Ayun, but you give me a different answer."
