Chapter 49. Playing the Role Well.
Ezra and Adel nodded their heads at the mother's words, and prepared to enter the room.
"Assalamu'alaikum" said Ayun as he opened the door of the room. A wide smile was seen on his face making that face appear radiant.
All of the occupants in the room immediately looked towards the door, including Evan and Sherly who looked surprised upon seeing their arrival.
"Wa'alaikum salam, Mrs Prayuda," replied a woman who was the wife of Burhan, Evan's business partner.
The two women hugged each other warmly and flatly while asking each other the news, while Ezra and Adel stared at Sherly sharply making the woman look down uncomfortably.
"Come, please sit down!" say Ayun to allow the woman to sit back.
Swing himself instantly sat down beside Evan who kept looking at him sharply, but he did not care at all. Especially with the woman who is currently on the left side of the man.
"I'm sorry that I was late and couldn't welcome you, I had a little bit of work at once to pick up my daughter" Ayun said, nodding her head.
"It's okay, Madam. All that was common, although I was a little surprised when Mr. Evan welcomed us along with his secretary," replied the woman named Nia, making Ayun and Ezra immediately frowned their eyebrows
"Secretary?" say Ayun with great emphasis while looking at Evan and Sherly alternately.
"Yes, there's no way I'm welcoming a guest alone," Evan replied quickly, while Sherly just kept quiet with a feeling of uneasiness.
"But I just found out that you have a new secretary, because all this time 'we're in direct contact, '" Burhan said.
"He's not new, sir. It's been a while. Isn't that right, Mas?" Swing looked at Evan sharply. "That's all, there are only a few people who know because they're hidden, because they have to do something very secret." She looked at Evan with a meaningful smile.
Evan, who was about to answer Burhan's words, did not let out his voice when he was first by Ayun, now he could only grit his teeth when he heard what the woman said.
"Yes, that's how it is" said Evan, who was forced to answer Ayun's questions, leaving Burhan and his wife nodding their heads.
Sherly herself could only remain silent with both hands clenched tightly restraining her annoyance. He knew that Ayun had been trying to bring him down, but he would still stand upright without being affected in the slightest.
Then they talked to each other closely, especially Ayun and Nia who had been like a long time because it was the nature of Ayun who was easy to get along and close to others.
After that, Ayun invited them all to lunch together because it did not feel now it was 1 pm. Adel just kept wriggling like a hot worm, apparently he was already feeling very hungry.
"Have you reserved a restaurant for us?" ask Ayun to Sherly, it seems like she is really playing her role very well.
Sherly gasps. He glanced at Evan who was talking to Burhan, the man said nothing at all about the restaurant and only asked him to come to the office.
"Well, my secretary is so deft that the restaurant isn't ready yet" Ezra sneered softly, causing Evan to stop his chat with Burhan.
Nia who heard it also shook her head, while Ayun glanced at Sherly who was currently bowing her head.
"I'm the one who prepared the restaurant" Evan said suddenly making everyone look straight at him. He then looked at Ayun and Ezra sharply as if he was going to swallow them round and round.
Evan clenched his hands together furiously. He had already warned them not to make trouble, but Ezra and Ayun seemed unwilling to listen.
"What your son said is true, Mr. Evan. I can move freely because there is a secretary who has done everything, if we still have to take care of small things like that, why hire them" Burhan said, he confirmed what Ezra said made the man's smile wider.
Evan fell silent and could no longer plead. If he continued to defend Sherly, then they would definitely feel suspicious.
"I'm sorry, I made a mistake. I'll fix it soon" Sherly said, bowing her head. His voice sounded trembling as he was holding back his annoyance and crying simultaneously.
Swing who saw him let out a rough sigh. "That's it, it's okay." He then invited them all to go to a restaurant that was not far from the place. Earlier he apologized to Evan's guests for making them uncomfortable.
Everyone then walked out of the room to go to the restaurant, as did Sherly who already wanted to leave the place.
"Sorry."
Sherly's steps came to a halt when she heard the voice of someone whispering right in her ear, she turned her face to the side and looked at the woman sharply.
Swing smile knot. Of course, he who had just whispered in the woman's ear, to make Sherly's face crimson to hold back emotions.
"Mbak deliberately wanted to embarrass me, right? What's as scared as that, if I snatch Mbak's husband completely?" said Sherly who was filled with scorn.
Swing chuckled while shaking his head. "Don't think too much, Sherly. I'm just playing the role you and your husband gave me well, so should you, Sherly's secretary. Do your part well, don't constantly embarrass yourself." He smiled obliquely with a face full of ridicule, then immediately turned around and followed everyone's footsteps.
Sherly looked at Ayun with a bitch. His eyes flashed furiously with veins protruding around his neck, his chest rumbling violently holding back the anger that was about to explode right now.
"You see, I will definitely repay all of your actions with 10 times more pain than what you did. I'll take everything in your life, until you're destroyed and lose your sanity!" sherly said with a sigh.
Sherly took a deep breath and exhaled slowly to calm down. After that he immediately ran to catch up with all of them who had already gotten into the car.
"Why did you get in my dad's car?" adel snapped as Sherly put one leg into the car, making everyone look straight at him.
"Adel, let auntie" Evan was unable to continue as Adel looked at him with a nagging, first-time look in his daughter's eyes.
"If he gets into this car, then I'll get out."
