Chapter 24. No More Sorry.
Sherly's chest felt like it was being pierced by thousands of needles simultaneously upon hearing her papa's speech. He felt slapped, and the pain stabbed into the deepest recesses of the heart.
Right, everything his father said is true. He had also thought of such a thing, he even had all his might to shake off the feeling that had perched in his heart for Evan.

"You okay, Sherly?" evan asked frantically, he held the wife's body even though he could not bear it.

Abbas smiled cynically when he heard Evan's words, even until it was like this too the man wanted to play tricks with him.
"Right, it's good if you're sober. Now get up from there and come here, Sherly. He is not worthy to be your husband, nor a Holy father."

Sherly loosened her head and looked at the father bitterly. He was sorry, even very sorry. However, there was no way he would leave Evan and let the man carry all this burden alone.
"I love my Mom and Dad so much, I love my dad too. But, can't Papa just forgive my mistake this once?" Speak slowly with trembling lips.

"Let your daughter talk!" Evan stared at Sella intently, knowing that she would stop Sherly's words.
"Before I got married, Papa once said that Papa would be happy if he saw me happy. And now that I'm happy, I'm happy to get married and be Evan's wife. Even though our path is wrong, we have no intention of hurting anyone. Can't Papa see our sincerity?" ask Sherly in fear.
Sella looked at her daughter with bated tears. No, Sherly shouldn't be saying anything like that right now. Sherly only has to apologize and regret everything, but what the woman is saying now will make the fire of Abbas' anger even bigger.
"So, what happiness do you mean is happiness over the ruin of someone else's life?"

Sella pegged in place when she heard the piercing sharp words from her husband. No, none of this can happen.
"No, Pa. I beg you not to do this, do not throw me away" cried Sherly as he ran towards Abbas and laid low on his papa.
"I'm sorry, Pa. Please don't throw me out, I beg you." Sherly wept as she hugged the father's leg, hoping that he would pity her and take her back.
Abbas was silent not flinching, he let out a rough sigh while suppressing the pain that was inside his chest.
"Remove your hands off my feet, you are no longer worthy to remain in this house. You don't even deserve to call me papa, because I didn't raise a woman to destroy other people's lives."
