Not the Perfect Wife

Not the Perfect Wife
177. S2 - His world is destroyed

Aydin played his phone for a long time. However, Nayla seems to have not shown any sign of going out, for fear that Aydin would come back knocking on the door and ask about the state of his wife.

"Nay, you're not pa-pa, are you?" aydin asked with a slight shout, while knocking on the door.

"Yes, Mas" answered Nayla by opening the door.

"Oh, I guess you're doing nothing, long term."

Aydin was relieved to see Nayla was fine. I don't know why he was afraid something would happen to his wife.

"Yes, don't know the sudden mules," Nayla replied by rubbing her stomach.

"But you're not papa, are you? Is the baby naughty?"

"No, Mas. Maybe because it was mostly snacking so mules," replied Nayla while grinning.

"Don't eat it carelessly. Kan, I've told you a few times. Especially until the spicy."

The man came back with his advice. It sometimes makes Nayla feel happy because it is noticed. However, sometimes also feel constrained, to not be free to go anywhere.

"I didn't eat spicy, just was mostly snacking."

"Dedek's not naughty, is he?" aydin asked while rubbing Nayla's stomach.

"No, Mas. Come on, let's eat! She must be hungry" asked Nayla.

"Yes, come!"

They walked to the dining room. Nayla was relieved that her pain had finally begun to diminish. Although he was currently trying to endure the slight pain that still existed.

The woman hesitated, could she be cured? Remembering the pain earlier, which was so excruciating. Nayla hopes to hold him until his son is born. After that, let fate be determined.

"You're walking very slowly, dear. Does it still hurt?" ask Aydin.

"No, just the remains of the mules so, a bit lazy to walk," replied Nayla reasoned.

"Be careful, then."

*****

The door of Emran's room was knocked by someone outside. The man asked the man to come in immediately.

"What's up, Pa. Why ask me to come here? My job is still a lot. Is there anything important?" ask Aydin as soon as he enters the room. The one who knocked on the door was Aydin.

"Lock the door" said Emran before Aydin sat down.

The man snorted in annoyance. This man loves to rule people. He just wanted to sit. Aydin kept on doing Emran's orders and sat down in front of his papa.

Aydin felt strange, why did his papa ask him to lock the door? There must be something important, but what? Why lock the door? Did something happen to the company?

"It is better from today you take a leave of absence, until your wife gives birth" said Emran.

"What's wrong, Pa? Nayla also gave birth still four months away. He also would not want to, if waiting at home. Papa knows how papa's son-in-law is."

Emran. He didn't know what to say to his son. Facing Aydin alone the man did not have enough courage, let alone facing his wife.

Aydin settled his papa. The man felt that something was covered by Emran. From his face was such a deep unease. There must be a big problem.

Emran was still silent when Aydin asked. He tried to find the right words to say to his son without hurting his heart.

"I know Papa is hiding something, I know Papa very well so, Papa doesn't have to lie. Just tell me what really happened."

Emran breathed out roughly. It seemed like he really had to tell Aydin everything. The man also has the right to know about his wife's circumstances.

Emran pulls out an envelope in his desk drawer and gives it to Aydin. The two men of different ages looked at each other, as if giving questions and answers from the look in their eyes.

"What is this, Pa?" Aydin asked as he looked at the envelope that read the name of a hospital.

"Open up and read it, if you don't understand later, Papa will explain."

Soon Aydin opened the envelope. He was curious too. What it contained made his papa look so frustrating. It had only been a few seconds that the man's hand shook. Although Aydin is not very understanding about medical, but there are some words that are quite understood.

Especially in the paper was the name of Nayla, which made Aydin's body stiffen. The heart that was originally fine, is now beating irregularly. Even breathing is difficult.

"What does this mean, Pa?" aydin asked with a trembling voice.

"Papa is sure you have understood enough of the letter."

"But I need an explanation from Papa, because Papa gave me this letter. I'm afraid I misrepresented the contents of this letter."

Emran sighed before answering the son's question. He stared at Aydin's face which began to pale with the look of his eyes demanding an explanation to him.

"As you have read. Nayla has terminal breast cancer. He purposely covered it up from you and from all of us."

Like a stone so big, Aydin felt his world shattered instantly. He can't say anything more. Empty views. His body felt stiff as if numb.

The man did not expect that this would happen to his wife. Given all this time Nayla was fine or maybe the woman was deliberately covering up all and pretending to be in good shape."

"Papa lied, right? Papa just wants to prank me. This isn't true, is it?" aydin asked, hoping his papa would say he was just joking. But the father was silent.

"Pa, answer dong! Don't just shut up!" Aydin raised his tone. He really couldn't believe what the man was hearing.

"Did Papa look like he was joking? This kind of thing is not for joking. Nayla did get blood cancer and she had to undergo chemotherapy immediately, because the cancer cells have spread to several places, but doctors do not recommend for now. Nayla is pregnant."

Emran explains everything the doctor says about the baby and Nayla's treatment. Aydin just silently listened. Whether he really heard or not. Right now the man was too busy with thoughts that he himself did not know what. All sorts of bad things went into his head.

How will Aydin live? It was too horrible to think that the man would lose one of them. Especially Nayla, he already loved his wife so much then, how could Aydin live without her? Just think about it never, especially if it's really going to happen.

Aydin could not think clearly this time. He felt that the world was so cruel. The age of their marriage was not yet a year, but now it had to be shaken up like this.

'Oh my God, your trials are so hard for me. How am I supposed to get through it? To stand alone I cannot walk, how can I walk?' inner Aydin crying.
