Not the Perfect Wife
289. S2 - Bright spot

"Assalamualaikum, Mother!" the screams of Afrin made Yasna who was in the living room shocked.

"Waalaikumsalam, astaghfirullah, why do you always scream, anyway, Dhek!" reproof Yasna.

Afrin just showed her a row of teeth then hugged the mother. Yasna was happy to see her daughter coming. He asked his daughter to come over for dinner. The woman also invited Ivan and Rani.

Yasna wants to have a family dinner tonight. They haven't been together for a long time. If not like this, there will be no togetherness.Everyone is busy with their own activities.

"Assalamualaikum," said Khairi who just came with the fruit. The man immediately approached his in-laws and kissed the back of their hands in turn.

"Waalaikumsalam, is your wife at home also screaming like that?" ask Yasna to her daughter-in-law.

"Yes, Mother," replied Khairi with sorrowful contrived . Afrin glared at her husband, perhaps he was lying.

"No, Mother, I swear. I never screamed at my house. Oh, Khairi lied!" exclaim Afrin fast. "Why are you so ugly?" ask Afrin while pouting.

Khairi chuckles at it. The man is also convinced that Yasna knows of his deliberate lies. He just wanted to tempt his wife. Seeing Afrin sulking made him feel anxious to take his wife home.

"No, Mommy. She is the most diligent and friendliest wife. He also always makes us happy to have him so, there's no way he's screaming. It will only be done in front of his parents" said Khairi who actually made Afrin embarrassed. Her husband was too overrated in praise.

"You don't praise him too much, big heads just look at his face has been reddened. Just eat, already mateng it," said Aydin who just went down the stairs.

Afri just grunted annoyedly. Always the man did not like it if just a little see his sister happy. Aydin and the others chuckled to see the woman pouting. The front door was knocked by someone.

"It must be Rani with her husband" Yasna said.

"Mother, don't you see Rani too?" ask Afrin.

"Yes, we all eat together, so many. Wait a minute, let's see Mommy first,"

Yasna went out to see who her guests were. It was Rani and Ivan. The woman already considered the couple her son so, she also asked him to join dinner together. Let this togetherness feel more fun.

"Why not just go in? The door is not closed, is it!" yasna said when she saw them. "Come, comein!"

"Yes Ma'am" said Rani.

They entered the house, it seemed that everyone had already gathered there. Rani greeted everyone who was warmly welcomed by the Emran family as well. Everyone talks a lot about their families. Yasna had previously warned that there would be no discussion of work for tonight. Everyone agrees too. They also need to refresh their brains from everything about work.

"Food is ready, Mom!" exclaim Wulan.

"Wulan, you come here first. I want to know you as well as all my children."

"Bak Rani!" call Wulan.

"Mr Wulan, how are you?" rani asked while hugging her friend.

"Okay, you're getting pretty."

"You could have."

Yasna introduced them one by one. Wulan simply nodded and smiled. He is happy to work in this family. Everyone is kind and friendly, although until now he is still afraid if there is Emran.

Everyone ate well while talking. Yasna was happy to see loved ones gathering like this. May this happiness never go away until any time. After dinner, they returned to the living room.

The phone in Khairi's pocket vibrated, a sign that a message was coming in. Apparently from the detective, the man asked about the development of his mother's search. However, now the detective says if there is no sign of Mama Nur's whereabouts, there is only evidence of her disappearance out of town using a bus recorded on camera.

No one knows where the woman stopped. Now just waiting for checking at every bus stop. When he was busy replying to messages with his trusted people, he did not know if in front of him there was Wulan. The man shut down the messaging app and walked over and finally hit the wulan, his phone fell.

"Oh." Wulan fell down. "Sorry, Sir. I was not intentional."

"It is precisely me who is sorry, I did not see earlier" said Khairi who felt bad.

Wulan tried to stand up while picking up Khairi's phone which had fallen off. Afrin who was not far away tried to help the woman stand up.

"Bu Aini," muttered Wulan as she looked at the photo on Khairi's phone screen.

"Mom Aini? Mommy Wulan knows the person in this photo?" ask Afrin who was beside him. She knew that Khairi had made a photo of her mother while pregnant as a cell phone wallpaper.

"Yes, Non. He was my teacher, even now he still teaches" said Wulan.

"Where does he live? Ma'am, you know the address, right?" ask Khairi.

"Sir, are you sure that the woman in this photo is really what Mbak Wulan means? Ma'am, it's not the wrong guy, is it?" ask Afrin to make sure.

The woman did not want the husband was happy to get a clue, it turns out he is not the person being sought. Moreover, this has been for many years surely the face of Mama Nur also changed.

Khairi was glad there was a bright spot. Although not entirely true, but at least there is hope for him to be more eager to look for it. The man looked at Wulan waiting for the answer from the woman's mouth about her biological mother. Hope the good news is heard.

"Yes, Non. I believe it was Ms. Aini because she taught me to teach since I was a child. Although now she is old, but I still remember her face when she was young and until now has not changed, still beautiful."

"Now still living in the village, Ma'am?" ask Khairi.

"It still seems, try asking my mother in the village, but sorry what interests you, Miss and Master with Bu Aini?"

"He I ...." Khair's remarks cut Afrin.

"We have a little business with him. Yesterday there was a colleague from my husband who wanted to find his whereabouts because there was something important. My husband's colleague used to be a friend of Ms. Aini's at the parlour" Afrin said quickly.

He did not know Wulan, whether or not the woman could be trusted. For now it is better to avoid something that could have made it difficult to find Bu Aini.

Khairi frowned as his wife answered Wulan's question. Why not just be honest? However, the man knew there must be a reason to make Afrin do that.

Now they are waiting for news from Wulan's mother. Whether Bu Nur Aini still lives there or not. May their expectations be in accordance with the reality.
