Not the Perfect Wife
265. S2 - Villa

All the events have been completed, the guests have also left the venue. Only the extended family of Ivan and Rani live. The two brides also joined them.

"I'm sorry, Bik Rahmi. Me and my family have to go, we already have plans so, we have to go home today as well" Yasna said.

"Don't he still stay here one more day, ma'am?" ask Bik Rahmi.

"Sorry, it was before, but it turns out that the kids' papa had plans of his own so, we had to come back."

"Alright, Mistress. Again, I thank you for coming. We can't pay anything back. Thank you for the gift."

"No need to talk like that. Rani I think of her as my own family, as well as, Auntie, so don't be too sorry for us. If there's anything, you can ask us for help."

"Thank you, Madam. I'm so lucky to know a woman as well as you. I'm also grateful Den Aydin and Non Afrin could have a Mom like you. May God give you health and long life" said Bik Rahmi with teary eyes.

"Amin, just don't be too long, Bik. Horrified also if my life is too long," said Yasna made Bik Rahmi laugh while rubbing the corner of her watery eyes. "We say goodbye, yes, everyone."

Emran's family also say goodbye to Rani and Ivan's family. Both families may want to talk between families so, Emran chose to invite his family apart, he had no right to interfere in their conversation.

"Where are we going, anyway, Mas?" ask Afrin when they are on their way.

They split the car with both parents. Afrin is alone with Khairi, while Emran and Yasna are sopiri by Pak Hari.

"Say Papa wants to take a vacation in the villa not far from this area."

"really? I haven't been to a villa in this area in a long time" Afrin said happily.

"Have you been to this area?" ask Khairi.

"Ever before when he was a child, but when he entered Junior High he was never again here. I thought it was sold by papa, it's still there."

"Papa couldn't sell Vila, unless he really needed the money, but so far, I've seen papa even more."

"Amin, hopefully it's always like that."

During the trip they were accompanied by music played on the radio. Sometimes Afrin follows the singer to sing her song. Khairi smiled seeing his wife so happy. That's how Afrin is, he's happy with simple things. Not like the woman out there. They are happy only because of the material.

"Oh, yes, dear. There's something I haven't told you yet."

"What?" ask Afrin.

"Yesterday Vira came to the company."

Afrin, who was looking ahead, turned her head towards her husband. He was so surprised to hear the arrival of Vira, why did the girl meet Khairi? What's the business again? Seeing his wife still silent and staring at him, Khairi knew that Afrin was waiting for the continuation of the story.

"He asked me to marry him just to cover up his disgrace" Khairi continued, making his wife glare her eyes

"meaning? Mom, I really don't understand?" ask Afrin for clarity.

"You know, don't you, baby! About the video yesterday, yes, that's it. Many blaspheme and insult him or whatever. So, she needs status if she's married or a widow because of that, she asked me to marry her. After the gossip died down she was going to ask for a divorce, but I already turned her down. I don't want to mess with a feeling."

This time Afrin was really surprised. He could say nothing more about his former friend. I don't know how to describe a woman like that. How could she ask a married man to marry her?

"Darling, what, just shut up?" ask Khairi who is worried because Afrin did not respond to his story.

"I'm just surprised, Mom. Why could he think like that? Just for a status, he wants to play a marriage bond. It really wasn't her old self. He's changed a lot. I don't know what's got into him now. When I first met him, he was a good guy. He likes it, but he doesn't like toying with a bond."

Two cars enter the family villa area that is so beautiful with a view of the beach in front of it, making the villa residents feel comfortable.

"The place is getting beautiful, Mas," Yasna said as soon as she got out of the car.

"Yes, Honey. I haven't brought you here in a long time either. I thought you didn't want to."

"Papa never said. I also forgot that Papa has a villa here."

"Sama, I forgot too. I think it's been a long time," interrupted Afrin who had just come along with her husband.

"Papa is not that poor until selling this villa," said Emran made Afrin chuckle. The answer is the same as her husband said.

"I was just wondering, Pa. Maybe Papa needs money to keep selling this villa."

"No," said Emran quickly. "Come, we're in!"

Emran invites Yasna to enter the villa followed by Afrin and Khairi behind him everyone is amazed by the design of the villa. The decorations and furnishings all look unique making its residents feel comfortable.

"Our last time here wasn't like this, Pa. What, Papa, changed it?" yasna asked with eyes that were still scanning all the furniture in the villa.

At night, the two pairs of married couples held a barbeque event with the breeze of the beach, making the atmosphere so cold. But they all enjoyed it. They do not show affection.

"Mother will enter first. Do you still want to be here? Mommy can't stand it, it's very cold" Yasna said.

"Yes, Mother. Mother first, we still want to be here" said Afrin.

Emran and Yasna enter the villa first, leaving Khairi and his daughter sitting side by side on the beach. Actually the woman still wants to enjoy the breeze of the beach at night, but her body is not able to face the cold of the night wind.

"You still cold, honey?" khairi asked his wife who was wearing her own jacket.

"No, Mas."

"If it's still cold, you'll wear my jacket."

"No, it's warm."

"Here I hug, let it get warmer." Khairi sat behind Afrin and hugged his wife, looking at the beach at night.

"Darling, if Vira asks you to let me marry her, would you like to obey her?" ask Khairi.

Afrin thought for a moment. He did not want to give the answer he would regret later on.

"Mas, I never thought about sharing love, let alone sharing a husband. I just want to be his only wife. Indeed, in Islam men may marry more than one, but I am not part of the women who are willing to be combined. I am also not a strong woman when I see my husband making out with other women. Even though they are legitimate," Afrin replied without hesitation.
