Not the Perfect Wife

Not the Perfect Wife
301. S2 - It takes time

Nur can't do anything. He knew very well the pain his daughter was feeling because the woman also felt it first. Nur knows, it is not easy to undergo the suffering they experience. Moreover, it must accept insults from others.

While Laily thought, what she experienced was because of her papa. That man made his life suffer. At any moment he would never forgive her. Hamdan himself created all this so, the man must accept all the consequences.

Nur returned to the living room. He couldn't force Laily. The woman knew very well how stubborn the princess was. If the girl says no then until whenever the answer is no. Unless something breaks his heart.

"I'm sorry, it looks like Laily needs time" Nur said. Even though in his heart he was not sure of it.

"It's okay. I also want to apologize to you because I left you pregnant. To make your life in distress" said Hamdan.

"No need to bring it up, it will further remind me of the suffering I've been through. I have accepted everything. For me it's part of my life journey" Nur said and turned to look at Merry. "Is this your wife?"

"Ah, yes, this is my wife, her name is Merry" Hamdan said.

Merry reached out and said her name. So too with Nur. Afrin came with a drink. While Khairi prefers to sit in the kitchen while thinking about his sister's feelings. He knew, it must have been very painful to meet the person who caused his suffering all along.

Hamdan and Merry say goodbye. However, before leaving the man asked for permission to say something to Laily even if it was just at the door. Nur couldn't possibly limit the interaction between father and son so, he just nodded his head. After all his daughter was no longer a manageable little child.

The middle-aged man stepped foot following Nur along with Merry. He had to accept whatever his daughter was going to do because it was all his fault. Hamdan doesn't want to judge anyone. The man blamed himself completely.

Nur knocked on his daughter's room door a few times and said, "Son, your papa wants to talk for a second."

"I don't want to! Tell him to go!" sahut Laily with a little scream.

Nur looked at her ex-husband as if she said that Laily would not talk. Hamdan nodded and approached the door of his daughter's room.

"Son, I'm sorry Papa. Papa knows there are so many mistakes that Papa has made, but please give a chance to Papa. You can do anything to Papa" Hamdan said.

Silence ... there is no lawfulness from within. Laily did not intend to reply to the words of his father, who had incised wounds in his life. Hamdan sighed. It would seem that it would be very difficult to melt his heart.

"Son, Papa go home first. Tomorrow Papa will come here again. I hope you have opened your heart. Take good care of yourself, sorry for all the mistakes you've made ... Papa's home, assalamualaikum."

Hamdan said goodbye to Nur. He didn't want to talk much to the woman, there was a heart to be guarded. Merry also said goodbye to the ex-wife of her husband. Actually he wanted to talk to Laily, but seeing his response to Hamdan alone like that, what about him? It will definitely be ignored.

"Waalaikumsalam," muttered Laily who was behind the door.

The girl had been there since entering the room. Deep down, she was happy to meet her father. However, inexplicably seeing Hamdan standing in front of him made his heart hurt. All the bitter memories in his life appeared instantly.

From childhood, the girl was often shunned by her peers simply because she was poor and her clothes were shabby. Laily harbored everything himself because he did not want to make the mother sad. It was enough for Nur to work hard to slam the bones for his future.

The girl's tears never stopped dripping until a knock and a call, inevitably made her have to come out of her room.

"Laily, come on, let's eat! It's lunch time." Nur's voice called him.

"Mother eat first, I'm not hungry."

"Later you come down, yeah! I'll wait for you to get hungry."

Nur got down and sat down at the dining table listlessly. She knew for sure her daughter was feeling very sad, but sooner or later, the girl would definitely meet her father.

"It's also coming down soon. Later you guys just act normal, don't discuss the problem earlier, yes!"

Khairi and Afrin just nodded. They also did not want to see Laily grieving. Nur knew her daughter well who would not let her starve. Sure enough, it did not take long to hear someone's footsteps coming.

Bu Nur pretends to set the table, while Khairi and Afrin are busy playing with cell phones.

"You hungry already? Come on, let's eat! I think you are still a long time," Nur said while arranging a neat plate. "You don't play on your cell phone, come on, eat first" Nur scolded his son and daughter-in-law.

"Yes, ma'am," they said at the same time.

Afrin took food for her husband and herself. No one dared to say anything, like Nur's request earlier. All ate quietly, only the sound of a spoon clashing with a plate.

"Later tonight we're eating out, yuk! All walks," suggested Khairi.

"Where to go, Mas. Mother Laily must be tired, tomorrow alone," interrupted Afrin.

"True, yes, tomorrow."

"You guys just take Laily. Mother is old, unable to go far," said Nur.

"Can't do that, Mom. We brought Mom and Laily here for fun. After all we have to buy a lot of equipment for Laily's lecture," said Khairi.

"Where did Laily go to college, Mas? Already enrolled?" ask Afrin.

"Already, in the car I've sent Laily's file to Ivan and he's enrolled him at the campus where you went to college too."

"Well, really? We can go together later. Even though it's a different class."

"Sister's still in college?" asked Laily who finally opened his mouth.

"Yes, I look old, yeah! It seems like you feel weird hearing me go to college" asked Afrin.

"Not really, Brother. My sister still looks young. I don't think Brother went to college because the money was a lot" said Laily.

"What a lot of money is my husband, I don't have."

"Just like, isn't the husband's money the wife's money, but the wife's money, yes, only the wife's" Laily chuckled.

Afrin laughed and said, "Yes, you're right. Ha ha ha."

Khairi snorted at her, but she was happy to see her sister being able to laugh again. The man pretended to sulk to make Afrin and Laily laugh. Same with Nur.
