Not the Perfect Wife
188. S2 - Accident

"Assalamualaikum" said Aydin entered Nayla's room followed by Nuri and Afrin.

"Waalaikumsalam, you came too. I've been waiting for this" Nayla told Nuri.

"Sister, how's it going?"

"It's better. How about yourself?"

"Alhamdulillah, good too. He said Nayla wants to see me because there's something important?"

"I just want to see you?" nayla answered by looking closely at Nuri's face.

Somehow the woman felt that Nuri's face today looked very bright. The girl was always smiling too. A smile that feels sad. There was something different about her, but Nayla didn't know what it was.

"Why does my sister see me like that? Is there something strange on my face?" asked Nuri while rubbing both of her cheeks.

"You look so beautiful today. Your face is also shining."

"So much too much. I'm just plain ordinary. I never had treatment either. Not like a pretty sister."

"Beauty doesn't have to be a treatment, does it? Lots of natural beauty. Especially girls your age."

They talk about a lot of things. Afrin was there too. The girl deliberately did not want to give Nayla and Nuri time to talk. He was afraid something unwanted would happen. It didn't feel like it was almost afternoon. Nuri must go home soon because Umi and Abinya will definitely look for her.

"Sister, I'm saying goodbye, yeah! Umi and Abi are definitely nyariin."

"You're being escorted by Aydin, huh?"

"No need, brother. I'll just take a taxi" refused Nuri. The girl felt bad for Aydin because she was troubling the man.

"Mas, please take Nuri home, will you?"

"I-i"

"Just drop off," cut Nayla off before her husband refused.

"Well," said Aydin then turned to look at Afrin. "You're here just take good care of Nayla's sister."

"Yes, Brother. Be careful," replied Afrin.

"Come, I'll take you!" take Aydin to Nuri.

The man was forced to fulfill his wife's wishes. After all, the girl came here too at Nayla's request. There was no way he would let Nuri go home alone.

Inevitably the girl ended up following Aydin from behind. When he got to the car, he wanted to sit in the back. However, Aydin immediately stopped him.

"I'm not your driver, why sit in the back?"

"Sorry, Brother. It seems disrespectful that I sit in front," Nuri replied as she felt bad.

"It's okay, just sit in front."

Nuri nodded and sat in the front seat. Several times the girl took a deep breath, to relieve the irregular pounding of her heart. Sometimes he glanced at the man.

Aydin drove his car, tracing the streets that were already quite crowded with motorized vehicles. The rain began to flutter with a rush, making Aydin's view very limited and slowing down his car.

"Nuri, I'm sorry. I was angry with you for reasons that are not clear" Aydin said breaking the silence.

"It's okay, Brother. I get it."

"It's just me who's wrong. I shouldn't be angry with you."

Nuri just smiled in response. He doesn't know what to answer. Aydin asked a few things that made the girl start to look relaxed.

Suddenly a light shone towards them, leaving the two shocked to know it was the light from a car.

BRACKET!

Aydin tried to avoid the car running towards him, but it was too late. Until the collision was inevitable. It all happened so fast.

"Relse ... Sister ... wake up .. don't scare me," Nuri called with pain all over her body

*****

Two weeks have passed. Today Nayla will run the operation. All preparations have been completed, Nayla's scheduled departure to Singapore has been arranged.

"Pa, did Mas Aydin never come after taking Nuri that day? Mother never came again?" nayla asked her in-laws.

Several times Nayla asked and it was always the busy excuse that Emran said, but today she is going to have surgery. Is her husband more concerned with work than his wife?

"Aydin is already in Singapore. He's arranging all the necessities for your operation. If mother, you know for yourself what kind of mother. He was very scared as you approached the day of the operation. Maybe he still has a sense of trauma considering what happened before" Emraan replied lying.

There was no way he would tell Nayla the truth. Maybe the woman will cancel the treatment and Emran will feel very guilty to Aydin.

"Mr Nayla, don't think much. Mbak should pray a lot that the operation is smooth and Mbak can go abroad to undergo treatment" said Rani.

For two weeks, the woman accompanied Nayla on Emran's orders because no one was able to accompany her daughter-in-law, and she was happy to do so. At home too Rani did nothing as there was not a single person there.

"Excuse me, is Miss Nayla ready?" ask a nurse who just entered followed by two colleagues.

"Already," answered Nayla, though in her heart the woman was afraid. He unconsciously rubbed his stomach.

"Mbak Nayla must believe in the power of God" said Rani who understands her employer's anxiety.

A nurse moves Nayla to a gurney and takes her to the operating room. Emran and Rani follow them and wait outside the room.

An hour has passed. Everything went well. The little angel was put into a pre-prepared incubator.

Emran preached his first grandchild with feelings that could not be expressed. Tears just dripped when he saw that innocent face. A baby with a very beautiful female gender.

"She's very pretty, huh, Ran?" emran asked Rani who was next to him.

"Yes, Sir. He is very similar to Mr. Aydin" Rani replied in a sad tone.

"He must have been very happy to hear that his daughter was born safely."

Rani did not answer. He doesn't know what to answer. Enemies come to this family alternately. However, the woman was grateful that everyone supported each other.

Nayla is still unconscious. Doctors recommend to wait a while, to find out the patient's condition after surgery, before being sent abroad. They also need to check the state of the patient before leaving the hospital.

Emran has also asked the hospital, so that there is a competent nurse to come with them and supervise the situation of Nayla later.

Once things stabilized, Emran took his son-in-law to the airport, to leave for Singapore. Only Rani was waiting for the little baby.

It wasn't long before Yasna came to see the state of her granddaughter. He was so moved to see that innocent baby.

"How's he doing, Ran?" yasna asked with teary eyes.

"So far, thank God well" answered Rani. "How's Mr. Aydin doing, ma'am?"
