Not the Perfect Wife
287. S2 - What will come back?

"I found a box and it was a diary and a DVD. I've already turned it around. The contents of the recording are Mama Nur's confession about what happened that day and also about her pregnancy. He hoped, Papa, to meet him and bring him home. He was waiting where you first met. He said he would wait a week there. After that he will leave if Papa does not come, it means Papa does not want him anymore. Finally Papa never came because Papa did not see the DVD."

Hamdan was surprised, he really did not know if things would get this complicated. In his opinion, the problem will be quickly resolved if he ends first. Who would have thought if it ended miserably like this. How will the man meet Nur and apologize? Just showing his face he had no courage.

Regarding the son that Hamdan never knew, how would the man be able to deal with it? Shame and unworthiness, now coming to him.really regret is indeed coming too late. However, there is no point lamenting everything.

It's all been happening. Now it's just how to find them and apologize. Whether Nur and his son want to forgive him or not.

"Papa wanted to see the video" Hamdan said.

Without wasting any time, Khairi opened his phone. He had predicted that Papa Hamdan would request the footage. The man had already copied it before giving it to his man.

Khairi plays the video and gives it to Papa Hamdan. The middle-aged man was speechless no more. Had it not been for her mother's wishes, none of this would have happened. But what about Merry?

How did Hamdan explain to Merry, about Nur and his other children? He never once told me about his past. Whenever Merry asked about it, the man always had a lot of reason. Now all of a sudden Hamdan has another child.

"What will Papa do now?" ask Khairi.

"Papa leave it all to you. Papa can't do anything anymore. Only one desire Papa," said Hamdan paused for a moment. "If you've found him, Papa wants to meet them and beg for his forgiveness."

"Is Papa sure they want to see Papa?" ask Khairi scoffing.

"Whatever happens next, at least Papa has tried to apologize. As to the outcome, let them decide."

"Sorrying turned out to be so easy, huh! I can't imagine how they feel, especially my sister. He must have felt wasted by his own father."

"If you want to punish Papa, just do it. Whatever it is Papa will accept."

"Why should I? Let's just wait, whether Mama Nur can be found or not!" answer Khairi in a flat tone.

"Have you hired anyone to look for it?" tanya Hamdan who is possessed by Khairi.

"What, Papa, knows the place he's about to go? Maybe a brother or a cousin?"

"Nothing, your mom's an orphan so, don't have any siblings at all. Except for a fellow parlourmate, that too Papa isn't very familiar."

Both of them were silent, struggling with their own thoughts. Their hopes are the same, hopefully Nur and his son soon found.

Khairi also sent a message to his wife to bring her mother back. He also felt guilty about such a situation. Mama Merry had been kind to her, though not so intensely looking after her, but the woman always asked about her circumstances.

"I've asked Afrin to bring Mama back so, this discussion is enough to get here" said Khairi, who was embraced by Hamdan.

It was not long before Afrin entered the room with Mama Merry with a few snacks.

"Well, didn't you just say you were going to the store? Why bring food now? Are boutiques selling food now?" ask Khairi while making jokes so that the atmosphere is not awkward.

Afrin chuckles at hearing it. She knew the husband wanted the atmosphere to be warm so the man said so.

Mama Merry didn't want to show her sadness. Let him alone know how wounded this heart is. Perhaps this is also what her ex-husband felt when referring, but the woman chose Hamdan instead.

"Ma, I'm the same Afrin go home for a second, yeah! Later come here again, we did not bring the clothes earlier," said Khairi.

"Yes, be careful."

Khairi and Afrin leave their parents.

"Ma, Papa's thirsty," pinta Hamdan.

Merry immediately brought her husband some drinking water. Hamdan could see if there was sadness in his wife's eyes. Did Afrin say anything to that woman? He also did not want any secrets between himself and the woman.

"Ma, sit down first, there's something Papa wants to say" said Papa Hamdan.

Mery followed her husband's orders and sat down by Hamdan's bed. The woman had heard everything, but still she was nervous when her husband wanted to talk. Not always could Merry pretend to be stupid.

"Ma, in fact Khairi's mother is still alive" Hamdan said. The man waited for a reaction from his wife, but Merry just silently listened, no surprised expression Hamdan expected. "Did Mama know?"

"Huh, no," said Merry quickly and nervously.

"Mama's not good at lying. What was Afrin telling you about?"

Merry sighed. Her husband could always guess what she was thinking, but he did not want his daughter-in-law to be blamed.

"No, Mama heard it for herself when Papa spoke to Afrin earlier. My mom didn't sleep."

Hamdan was surprised to hear that. He felt guilty for being caught cheating, but there was really no intention for the man, going back with his past.

"There's one more thing you definitely don't know" Hamdan said. Merry just stared at her husband waiting for the next sentence the man would say. "Nur got pregnant before leaving me. That means I have children besides Khairi."

"What?" Merry covered her mouth with a palm.

He was really surprised to hear that. There was Khairi's mother alone she felt inferior, now there was another child. His self-confidence is growing.

"I also just found out earlier, when Khairi showed the video Nur made before leaving. The video was made for me, but I never saw it. I'm sorry I lied to you."

A single tear that Merry had held back from earlier, finally fell down as well. She tried to look strong in front of her husband. In fact, his self-defense was not as strong as his will.

"Will Papa come back to her after she's found out? Doesn't Papa still love her? From the story I heard, she seems like a good woman" Merry said with tears still flowing.
