The car that Khairi and Afrin were driving had reached the courtyard of the Emran family home. They all went down one by one, then entered the house together after Wulan opened the door. There is already Bik Rini and Uncle Doni who are playing with Nuri. Ivan and Rani are not left behind either.
Everyone gathered in the living room that had been held a rug. Yasna deliberately removed the chair and replaced it with a rug to fit a lot of people. Such a way is also believed to further strengthen the family.
They all talked and joked with each other. Yasna was very happy to see her family and close relatives come and get together like this. However, it was a pity that Papa Hilman and Alina's mother could not come because the man's health was declining.
"Son Afrin said she was pregnant too?" rini asked while looking at Afrin's flat stomach.
"Yes, Bik. Alhamdulillah," Afrin replied while rubbing her flat stomach.
"How many months?"
"Two months, Bik."
"May the mother and baby be healthy until the birth, yes!"
"Amin, thanks, Bik."
Azan magrib reverberated, everyone preparing to pray together with Emran as Imam. Their prayers are offered at the end of the prayer. Wishing kindness always accompanies every step they take.
After praying magrib all headed to the park next to the house that has been decorated according to Nuri's wishes. Despite all the guests who come adults, Nuri remains happy because she can be with the people she cares about. Nayla saw the clock on her wrist, hoping for someone to come.
"Are you waiting for me?" aydin asked in a whisper.
Nayla nodded in response. "Dad promised to come, Mom. Is he lying again?"
"Maybe dad's still stuck in traffic. It's coming soon too. Don't show such a sad face. Later Nuri see so follow sad later."
Nayla took a deep breath and tried to look happy. She must not make her daughter sad on this happy day. The woman mingled with the others while comforting Nuri.
Not long after, came the person who was waiting for. A man wearing a shirt and cloth pants. Everybody saw it. Some were surprised that some were smiling.
"Assalamualaikum," said the man who just came, who else if not Roni.
"Waalaikumsalam, please sit down, Mr. Roni," said Emran, smiling at his besi.
Nayla approaches her father and kisses the back of the man's hand followed by Aydin. Roni joined the others.
"Nuri, here!" call Nayla, the little girl approached her mother. "Same salute Grandpa!" his orders left Nuri confused.
"Darling, this is Grandpa. Nuri Salim first, come on!" added Aydin.
The little girl also complied. He reached out his hand and kissed the back of Roni's hand. The man wanted to hug his granddaughter, but he was afraid that Nuri would refuse.
"Nuri, that's so pretty! Just like his mother" said Roni trying to get close to his grandson.
"Beauty me" said the little girl, making everyone chuckle at her.
"Well, that's beautiful Nuri. Grandpa's granddaughter is indeed very beautiful, can Grandpa hug?" ask Roni. Nuri immediately shook her head and stayed away from the man. The girl hid in his arms.
"Darling, it's Grandpa. Why not embrace? Grandpa's good!" yasna asked her granddaughter.
Nuri just shook her head without making a sound. Yasna felt bad for her besieging, she was worried that the man would get angry and consider it a bad influence on her granddaughter. However, who would have thought if Roni smiled in response.
"It's okay, Ms. Yasna. I understand, for sure he was afraid because he just knew me," said Roni make everyone relieved.
"Yes, Dad. I just need a few months to get close to him," added Nayla, who is owned by Roni.
The man was not angry at his grandson's refusal. He understood because they had not met for a long time. If you meet Roni is not sure he can do good to his grandson, considering how his war used to be.
"Come, it's time to blow out the candles!" take Aydin and distract him.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot. Come on, Nuri blow out the candles first!" take Yasna too.
They approached the place where the cake was. Nuri is very enthusiastic in this section.
"Happy birthday .. happy birthday .. happy birthday Nuri, good luck with your longevity."
Happy birthday singing together. A smile of happiness adorned everyone's face. Nuri cuts the cake with the help of Yasna and Nayla. The first piece of cake was actually the little girl gave to Rani not to her parents. Nuri reasoned that he had not met the woman for a long time.
The whole family just smiled. They did not bother with Nuri's attitude. She was just a little girl who was still innocent and did anything according to her heart.
After the cake cutting event, proceed with barbeque. They all worked together roasting. Sometimes they joke. All dissolve with the happiness that is created.
Parents are not allowed to bake. They are only allowed to sit in a place that has been prepared to relax, as well as dinner.
Yasna was happy, the event she planned was running lively. Relatives also came, although both parents were not present because Hilman's father was less fit. Both of them are no longer young. Gibran and his wife did not come either. Only their children were present.
"Mas, I'm glad to see the kids smiling like that" Yasna said, looking at her laughing children.
"Yes, Honey. I am happy to have you too. You love my children like your children. They can be a good person also on your upbringing. I don't know what to say, other than thank you" Emran said, embracing his wife's arm and leaning her head on his shoulder.
"Since my first meeting with Afrin, I've loved her very much. So is Aydin, even though he likes to be ignorant, but I know he's a good boy. He's acting like that just to protect the people he cares about."
Silence ... both dissolve in their respective thoughts. Until Emran's voice breaks the silence and makes Yasna smile.
"Thank you for being present in our lives and making our lives more colorful."
The two hugged, channeling the love that was in their hearts. No one knows that a breakup with each other's previous partner has united the hearts of both. No one knows where destiny will take them.
Emran is grateful that Yasna is his destiny. He wasn't sure if it was anyone else, how he could love his children the way his wife did.
Without both realizing it, Aydin and Afrin saw the affection of their parents. They love to see Emran and Yasna who always love each other. Both prayed that their families would be like their parents.
