Not the Perfect Wife

Not the Perfect Wife
223. S2 - Meet Vira

In a restaurant a girl was waiting for a man who made an appointment with her. Who else would that girl be if not Vira. A smile continued to be etched on his lips, not knowing what he imagined.

It had been an hour that she waited, but did not dampen her desire to meet the man who had filled her heart. Who else if not Khairi. The man did it intentionally. It was obvious he had a meeting, but instead asked Vira to come.

Thirty minutes later, Khairi comes along with Ivan of course. He couldn't have seen Vira alone. It can make the girl big head. Just meeting Afrin, she has to be with someone, let alone her?

Just imagining it makes Khairi sick. Without much to say, Khairi asked the waiter to serve the food that had previously been ordered. There is not one of Vira's favorite foods. All of Afrin's favorite foods, except the spicy sauce crab, are their favorite.

"What's your goal?" ask Khairi without further ado.

"What purpose?" ask Vira back. He had absolutely no idea what Khairi meant. The man had just arrived, but had already asked a question.

"Are you pretending to be stupid or are you really stupid?" ask Khairi while sneering.

"I really don't understand what you mean?" Vira has started to get emotional.

Khairi snorted, it turned out that this girl's patience level had only gotten here. How could Vira equate himself with Afrin which is certainly very different. Let alone him, the man out there would certainly prefer Afrin over the girl.

"What's your purpose in telling Afrin that we're engaged? Obviously we have no relationship. Even the engagement was still in the plan and it was your parents asking, not me."

"But I really love you. I want to make you my husband. I promise to always be loyal to you and do whatever you want, just don't leave me" Vira said with tears.

Both of his hands wanted to reach Khairi's hand. However, the man quickly avoided it. The man did not want to come into contact with a girl like Vira.

"Don't try touching me or I'll break your hand right now."

Vira was terrified by the look in Khairi's eyes that were so cold and piercing, even more terrifying than before. The girl was trying to look fine, even though inwardly, she was horrified.

"What's more awesome Afrin than me? I am even more everything than him. I'm pretty too."

"In fact, I never intended to find a beautiful woman. If I wanted to, I could choose the most beautiful in the world. Whoever he is I can have him, but they don't interest me. Looking at it I was lazy, just like when I looked at you."

Khairi's words really hurt Vira. Such cruel words.

"You are so willing to say such harsh words to me."

"Are you also aware, when you insult your best friend? Friendly ones can, let alone those who have no relationship with you."

"So Afrin reported it to you?" vira asked sarcastically, making Khairi laugh out loud. However, it sounded terrible in the ears of everyone who heard.

"Have you forgotten who I am? I can easily get the video footage on your campus," Khairi replied. "You've been friends with Afrin for a long time, you should know her personality as well. He would never insult others, even if that person had already hurt him. You should have learned a lot from him. But I'm not sure you can do that from everyday behavior alone it's impossible."

"I have no business with him."

Khairy drinks his drink without offering it to Vira. "Then, what do you want from me?"

"Married to you? I never thought about it at all. Even in a dream. All this time I did good to you just because you are the son of a friend. After that there is no more. I don't consider strangers as friends. There is nothing in Khairi's dictionary to make another woman a friend let alone a future wife that is very, very far from Khairi's criteria" Khairi said.

Vira feels hurt, it turns out that during this time Khairi considers him a stranger. They were pretty close. The girl admitted that the man had always been cold, but she always suggested that his attitude was like that.

It could be that Khairi is taking revenge for what Vira did to his future wife, but he is not that kind of person. The man is not a coward who can hurt a woman.

"I'll never marry anyone but Afrin so don't dream you can marry me."

"What if Afrin doesn't want to marry you? I know him very well, he's not gonna betray his own best friend."

Khairi laughed heartily. "That's the difference between him and you. Up here it looks not! What's your difference with him? You still want to marry me when I prefer Afrin, but Afrin rejects me for reasons of that obscure matchmaking."

Vira fell silent, 'Am I so evil? No, Khairi is indeed mine and no one can have it but me.

"One thing you need to know, if it is true that Afrin refused to marry me, I will never marry anyone and at any time," Khairi said steadily by looking at Vira's face.

"Are you sure you can do it? I'm not sure you're capable of."

"We'll see" said Khairi with his devilish smile. Vira goosebumps hearing every word that comes out of Khairi's lips. Moreover, his smile that seemed capable of killing anyone. "Enjoy your meal, I have no taste in eating with a woman like you. I'm afraid to spit it out here."

Khairi immediately stood up and left Vira with a broken heart to pieces. Khairi leaves the restaurant without looking back.

"Ivan, give me the car keys. You just take a taxi" Khairi said, raising his hand without looking at his assistant.

"I can drive it, sir. I'll drive you wherever you go."

"I can give you the key myself."

"Your situation is not okay. I'm afraid of An—"

"Yesterday is the key!" khairi shouted with a sharp look at his assistant. He didn't like anyone to oppose him.

Ivan was forced to hand over the car keys to his superiors. Khairi immediately grabbed and left the restaurant. The man was driving the car at a very high speed. Meanwhile, a very worried Ivan asks his men to follow Khairi wherever the man goes.

"Follow wherever the boss goes. Do not lose track, if something happens to him, be prepared to give up your neck" Ivan said with someone by phone. He just closed the call without hearing the voice from across.

'Hope you get through it well. I'm sure you can.'
