Not the Perfect Wife

Not the Perfect Wife
254. S2 - Cancellation of marriage

Khairi and Afrin are on their way to Papa Hamdan's house. Suddenly a message entered the woman's phone.

"Mas there is a message from Mbak Rani, he said we were asked there. Mother called Brother Ivan home. Mbak Rani said, Mother is very angry with Ivan," said Afrin.

"Why angry?" asked Khairi who was astonished, why did his father-in-law suddenly get angry and call Ivan home? Did his assistant make a mistake? However, as long as he knew Ivan, the man was not a careless man. What mistake he made.

"I don't know, Ms. Rani didn't reply to my message. I was curious, Mas. How about we go to Papa Emran's house first, tomorrow to Papa Hamdan's house."

"Can, Honey. I also wonder, what makes you angry? Because as long as I've known you, I've never seen her angry."

"Indeed the mother is rarely angry, but once angry all at silence. No one dared to interrupt. I wanted to see the stiff face of Ivan's brother, when scolded by his mother," said Afrin gigglingly imagining it.

"You are, there is. Yes, we're going there!" khairi Clamings taken by Afrin.

The man turned towards his father-in-law's house. He drove his car at a moderate speed. Until finally they arrived at the house of the family Emran.the two went down and walked hand in hand. The door of the house seemed open, making them just walk in with a greeting.

"Assalamualaikum" said the two.

"Waalaikumsalam," said everyone in the living room. It turned out that Ivan was already there, sitting in front of Emran and Yasna.

"Darling, are you here?" ask Yasna for her daughter.

Afrin was confused. He doesn't know what to answer. There was no way the woman would tell the truth if Rani told.

"Yes, Bun. He wanted to go to Papa Ham's house and there was a bit of work, but they had an event outside so, we decided to come here." It was not Afrin who answered, but Khairi.

"There's Brother Ivan, too!" exclamation Afrin.

"Yes, Mother there is something to talk about with Ivan" Yasna said.

"Then we go in" said Afrin.

"No need, you just sit down. Khairi also needs to hear it" Yasna said.

They also sat in the living room. "Awhile, I made a drink" said Afrin.

"No need, dhek. Nayla has made it, maybe soon it will come, too" said Aydin, who is embraced by Afrin.

The woman sat down next to her husband. He clasped Khairi's hand, Afrin feeling that his mother was upset.

"I'm sorry, what's the matter? Did something happen?" asked Ivan who did not want to talk.

"So, I'm here to apologize profusely because I want to cancel your and Rani's wedding plans. I can't continue with the show."

Ivan was so shocked to hear that. No wind, no rain, suddenly annul the wedding just like that. It happened like what his boss had experienced, but it was Afrin himself who canceled and now Yasna, the most influential person in the house.

It was not only Ivan who was shocked. Everyone in the room was equally surprised. How could Yasna just cancel Rani and Ivan's wedding plans. Everything is arranged. Especially Rani, the preparations all in the village are going on. What if all the events are off? Their families will be ashamed.

"Why cancelled, Madam?" ask Ivan. She doesn't know why the wedding was canceled? Even Rani didn't say anything to him.

"Because I have chosen the right mate, who is more attentive and affectionate to him. Not a cold man who doesn't treat her like a woman to protect."

Ivan gulped his saliva rough. He knows that Yasna's words are an allusion to him. It's not that he doesn't want to treat Rani well. It's just that he doesn't know how. To call that woman alone needs to think many times.

"Sorry, Madam. You can't be like this. All the preparations are almost done. You can't just cancel it. What about my family?"

"Why can't it? I have a husband who can do anything quickly if you forget" Yasna said, which made everyone look at Emran. While the man, pretended not to know anything and preferred to enjoy his drink.

"But, Madam, can't force Rani."

"Rani must have followed all my wishes. The man was very kind often spending his time on his family and loved ones. I'm sure Rani will be happy with him" said Yasna, who made Ivan more nervous. He didn't know it had to be this way.

"Why do I have to be at a time like this? I've done everything to prepare for the wedding."

"I initially rejected him, but he was the one who wanted to fight for Rani. Whatever he did to get Rani. I couldn't possibly waste a man like this and I salute him a lot so, I decided to marry Rani to the man because I was so sure. Rani will be happy with him."

"Mrs Yasna, can't do this to me. I will also fight to get Rani, at any cost. I love Rani so much, I don't want anyone else to have her."

Rani is shocked to hear Ivan's words. She did not expect that the man also had the same feelings as her. Previously the woman felt if her love clapped one hand, but now Rani is happy because her love is reciprocated.

In Yasna's heart smiling, it turned out to be very easy to lure this stiff man. At first he thought it would be difficult to get her to talk, but not as difficult as the woman thought. Previously Yasna also felt anxious, she was afraid that if Ivan agreed to the annulment of the marriage, thank God he was willing to fight.

"What are you going to do? You don't try to do something that will hurt Rani, yeah!"

"That's not gonna happen, madam. I will only fight for Rani as she, Madam, said earlier. Isn't that guy also fighting to get Rani? Then I'll do the same."

"What can a cold man like you do? You didn't even tell Rani anything about your wedding."

"I don't want to tell, it's just, everything I leave to the event organizer."

"Do you think Rani also doesn't want to know anything about your wedding? The married ones are you, right? Even though all the events were handed over to them, you can at least see how far the party preparations have progressed."

"But, I ...." Ivan did not continue his words. He felt that there was something strange here. The man thought for a moment then looked at Yasna.
