After her feelings begin to calm down, Hani invites Faiq to return to the study to meet with Linda and other guests.
“How do you feel, son?” Linda asked attentively.
“It's been a little mengingan, aunt. I want to know the intent of tonight's meeting.” Answer Hani straightforwardly.
“Let's continue,” sela Rusdi fast.
Hani heard Rusdi saying that all the shares and property owned by Aditama had moved on behalf of his sons. As a parent of a minor, it is Hani's obligation to manage the company left by Adi until his children are old and able to take over the management of the company.
“How about I refuse?” Hani asked directly.
Frankly, with his lack of knowledge and experience taking care of the multi-national company owned by Adi coupled with children who still need care and supervision from him, Hani objected to what Rusdi said.
All eyes were on him, because Hani immediately insisted on refusing the responsibility that had been given based on the power of attorney that had been made.
“Why did you reject madam?” Rusdi immediately asked him a question.
“Please excuse me in advance, sir. I know how the deceased managed the company and his struggles made the company the best in the country. I refuse to manage the company, because I am not a competent person in the field that the deceased has been involved in. I believe the company has great people who have been fighting since the beginning for the big name of the company.
I also still have babies and toddlers who still need my care and supervision. So I beg the policy of Mr. Rusdi, aunt, as well as anyone with an interest in the company to understand.” Hani ended his words.
Faiq looked at his wife, and admired her way of thinking. He stroked Hani's shoulders full of pride. Frankly as a husband, he objected if Hani wanted to involve himself in the management of the company.
“How according to mr Bimo?” Rusdi turned his gaze to Bimo who was staring at Hani sharply.
“I understand the rejection of Hani,” interrupted Linda fast, “But at least as a guardian of the children responsible for the ownership of the company, at least once a month should come to the company. And every monthly meeting still have to come to meet with other company leaders.”
“And I as the last mandate holder of Mr. Aditama also handed in a power of attorney appointment of Mr. Aryo Bimo as CEO replacing the late Mr. Aditama Prayoga.” Rusdi held out a piece of paper bearing Aditama's complete signature in a letter he had made while still alive.
Bimo welcomes the paper from Rusdi's hand. He read it carefully without blinking. He breathed heavily. If you do not remember the help of Tama when his company in Singapore slumped because of his behavior that likes to play women, to cause the company engaged in financial consulting almost bankrupt because of the debt borne. The woman he dated took away all the important files and assets of the company, leaving Bimo almost imprisoned for not being able to pay the salaries of employees and rent the building he used as a place of business.
His debt was too great for Aditama, until at the last moment Rusdi contacted him because of Tama's request, with he forced to agree to return to Indonesia and help manage his cousin's company.
“When will Mr Bimo start to work?” Rusdi immediately searched for it as soon as he saw Bimo signing the power of attorney he gave.
“Tomorrow I will see the company situation,” replied Bimo flat.
After a pretty talk, finally Hani can receive advice and input from Rusdi and Linda. The day after Thursday, he will attend a rally to introduce himself as the guardian of his children as the heir to the legacy of Aditama.
Faiq stomped his head which felt pulsating. He did not concentrate on attending monthly meetings led by his father. The cost is split considering the meeting they had at the home of the late Tama.
He can see the arrogant style displayed by Bimo, a cousin of the late Tama who was handed a position for the management of assets owned by the child. There was no manners he displayed when dealing with them.
Faiq so think, is it really like the nature of the entrepreneurs in dealing with foreigners that they do not know, stiff and tend to be arrogant unfriendly. There were no pleasantries in their attitude so even Faiq felt reluctant to greet him.
Faiq looked straight ahead. He frowned when he saw a young woman with a shar's look’i who was standing right beside his father. He quickly shook his head.
“Alright, now let's get acquainted with miss Latifa Chairul. Then it will help realize the dream of Mr. Faiq in the management of the hotel sharia.”
Faiq frowned, his brain working fast. Finally his desire to manage the hotel sharia got the approval of the board of directors. From the beginning he volunteered to manage the hotel he had dreamed of sharia management. Faiq wanted to provide a halal sustenance to support his son and wife. Although he knew, the way there was not easy, but with prayer and effort he did, finally after almost four years his dream came true.
The afternoon meeting was over. Now lives Faiq, his father and the woman he just met in the meeting. He is still busy calling Hani who is giving ASI to juniors who have now begun to adapt to his surroundings.
Hani's smile and stern gaze dispelled Faiq's fatigue after a long day of meetings that bore him. The plan and Hani who want to take the children to Tama's tomb pilgrimage has not been realized, because until now they have not had free time to tell the departure of Tama to his children.
Especially now Ariq and Ali have been busy with school activities and tutoring that they follow until the afternoon. When he returned home, the two sometimes fell asleep due to exhaustion with their daily activities.
“Mas Faiq still remember with me?” question gently stroking the earlobe Faiq.
He looked ahead, it turned out that his father was not in the room, only he was alone with a sweet smiling young woman staring at him. Faiq straightened his body, and looked at the woman with a confused look. He doesn't remember it at all.
“I Ifa, Mas Faiq's younger brother while in MAN. I majored in sharia economics and invited om Darmawan to join. During this time I worked as a consultant for a sharia-based company,” Latifa said cupped her hands together while smiling at Faiq with a nod.
“I'm sorry that it's hard to remember people,” said Faiq flatly.
“From now on I will help mas Faiq to realize the dream of mas Faiq in managing sharia-based hotels.”
Faiq nodded his head without speaking. He immediately got up from the chair and walked away from Latifa to his room.
Latifa was stunned, Faiq's attitude changed even like he didn't know her. He and Darmawan happened to meet while attending their colleague's wedding invitation. Latifa who happened to come along with her parents had a light conversation with Darmawan.
Latifa is close to the Darmawan family, because at the time of attending Madrasah Aliyah she and Faiq were both active in the school's Rohis activities. He and several other friends often stop by Faiq's house for meetings or other activities related to school.
Latifa had already admired Faiq, as she began to plunge into the same organization as Faiq. Faiq's mature attitude and care for others made him fall in love for the first time in his upperclassman who served as Rohis' chairman.
That feeling never changed until this moment. He still hopes to one day be reunited with the idol. Already many men who intend to ask her to make a wife, but Latifa still keukeuh lock her heart.
The offer to work as a consultant for the sharia hotel business that Darmawan delivered made him interested especially after hearing that Faiq was in control of the hotel making his desire to join even greater.
“Han, place new staff in your room,” Faiq said flatly upon entering his room.
“Isn't he the one who will help in realizing your dream?” Handoko scrunched her forehead to see Faiq casually checking the files on her desk.
Faiq stared at Handoko sharply. From the corner of his eye earlier he was able to catch a different look Latifa aimed at him. And he does not want to make repeated mistakes, to hurt his wife and children.
