Adi is shocked to learn that Faiq has officially proposed to his ex-wife. His face was red withstanding emotions. He clenched his fingers. His eyes were full of anger looking at Faiq who was holding Hasya while greeting the invited guests one after another congratulating them on their engagement. The twins seem to be enjoying a meal with Hanif and a young woman wearing a robe. He also saw Fery and his wife having a serious conversation with Darmawan and Marisa.
“Wah, so his son-in-law Mr. Darmawan is widowed, huh?” Glare laughed dismissively. “I don't think a pious man like his son only chooses widows. There are many girls who have the potential to be with him. What are the advantages of the widow?”
Adi was unable to say. He just kept silent and did not respond. In his heart he felt angry. Want it he tore open the mouth of Gilang who had vilified Hani.
“We go straight, yok.” Helen grabbed Adi's arm. He also did not like the mouth of Gilang bucket. “After that we go straight home.”
Adi nodding uninspired, “We first yes.” Slowly he followed Helen's steps towards the couple Faiq and Hani who were still standing with some of Faiq's colleagues. His eyes looked at Hani without blinking. He did not know what feelings now alighted him, because it was not happy to see his ex-wife who was so beautiful accompanied by a man who was no less handsome than him.
“Congratulations yes, Mr. Faiq on your engagement. We are waiting for the wedding invitation.” Helen smiled fakely. He smirked cynically as he looked at Hani, whom Hani replied with a faint smile at the two.
Adi sees Hasya unwilling to descend from Faiq's sling, with her round eyes pointing at Adi.
“Dedek do not want to salim the same om Aditama?” Faiq tried to persuade Hasya because he saw Adi who stood long before him looking at Hasya with sadness. Wanting to feel he held Hasya and poured a painful longing in the chest.
“Ndak. Dedek tatut.” Hasya pushed and rejected Adi's hand that was trying to stroke her hair.
“Mas, who queue a lot. Come!” Helen said quickly. He felt annoyed to see Adi who was fixated on seeing the girl who was clinging to Faiq's neck.
With heavy steps Adi left the two couples. He runs into Hanif and his partner and the twins.
“Thank you, thanks to the talaq you dropped on Hani, now God has replaced it with a better one. I always pray, may happiness soon side with you family.” Said Hanif cynically.
Adi fell silent, staring at the handsome twins in a suit and bow tie in red.
“Goodnight, om.” Ariq greets Adi, because seeing Adi's look that looks not excited, “Om why sad?”
Adi shook his head heavily. He stroked Ariq's hair gently. His gaze turned to Ali who was looking at him in wonder. “Does om miss the son of om who has died?” now Ali asked him. Because Ali remembered a friend in her class who told her of her sadness when her sister left for all eternity.
A sad feeling accompanied Adi's steps as soon as he left the magnificent hotel ballroom. He did not care about Helen's scolding left behind him, because he wanted to get to the car immediately, and drowned himself in the study at home. He knew his heart was left there.
There was no more happiness he wanted. All this time he has been pursuing a pseudo happiness, to forget the most beautiful gift that has been given by the Powerful One in his life. His heart now feels empty. Adi closed his eyes while leaning his body on the work chair.
That afternoon Linda intended to visit Marisa. He wants to change his diamond collection to the latest edition. He hadn't visited Marisa in a long time. So deliberately he took himself on the sidelines of his busy life with his social colleagues. Because she was used to going in and out of Marisa's office, Linda sometimes did not ignore the employees who greeted her.
“Good morning, mistress?” a soft voice greeted her as soon as she entered Marisa's office room which was very simple but graceful and classy.
Linda was stunned to see Hani greeting her, as she opened the door of the room. He saw the surrounding situation, did not look Marisa, there was only Hani who was sitting and opened the magazine looking at the jewelry sample.
“What are you working on here?” Linda looked at Hani from head to toe. He realized there was no more impression of the village from the face of his former daughter-in-law. It even looks brighter.
“I only ..”
“Although your body is wrapped in expensive clothes. The poor aroma remains, and you will not be able to hide it. If only my late husband had not been generous, you would still be contemptible people next to us. Although in fact after the divorce of my son you have now become a rich widow.” Linda said cynically. “Why should we meet here. I will have bad luck because I have to meet dust in a place like this.”
Hani was only speechless hearing Linda's words which he considered to be the last wind. He was already immune, and did not want to answer Linda's words. She thinks Linda is just a stranger she doesn't know. So there was no anger or resentment for Linda's attitude towards him. He threw a thin smile while bowing his head politely and immediately stepped away from Linda.
Marisa who was in the corridor and was about to enter her room was surprised to see Hani who walked outside, “You want to go back to the office, Ra?” he frowned, because the matter of choosing a wedding ring for Faiq and Hani was not finished.
“I want to tell mom, there is madam Linda waiting in the room.” Hani tells of Linda's arrival. “Come here with Mother, dear.”
“Just same oma aja.” Marisa doesn't allow Hani to take Hasya. He was comforted by the arrival of the little guy at his workplace. “Let's face it with your arrogant former in-laws. I want to see how she behaves towards you.”
Hani is surprised to hear Marisa's cynical tone. She never told anyone about Linda's treatment of him. He did not dare to answer Marisa's words. He calmly followed Marisa's steps towards her room.
“Tamunya please made tea, Rin?” Marisa asks her staff to make drinks for her guests.
“Let me aja, bu.” Hani begged her in-laws.
“Good. Thank you, dear.” Marisa smiled at him.
While holding Hasya in her left hand, Marisa pushed open the office door. Once in the room, he wanted to carry it, but the little guy immediately ran around looking at the workspace Marisa who looked adem and comfortable.
“I'm sorry, but I still took a toy in the car. Long awaited?” Marisa sat down in front of Linda.
“Nyampe.” Requirements Linda looked at Hasya who was still engrossed in playing alone, on the single sofa. Her tiny mouth hummed singing children's songs.
“Aduh oma's grandson, already smart singing, the title is what dear?” Marisa felt a gurgle, finally she lifted Hasya from the chair and carried her into the lap.
“Tatu, tatu.. airing unda..” replied Hasya cutely. He does not care about Linda's view that leads to him.
Linda was stunned again looking at Hasya up close. Adi's face is really attached to the face of the little guy. He really did not understand why the face of the toddler was so similar to his son. “Kok, this toddler can come with you?” he became curious.
“She is my grandson.” Marisa said proudly while kissing her cubby cheeks with anxiety. He caressed Hasya's kriwil hair affectionately.
Linda frowned her eel with a face full of curiosity. “Didn't your son be single. And all I know, this toddler is his son Adi.”'s friend
“Faiq will soon be married to his mother Sasha. While Fery and Gigi are not his parents, but his parents.” Marisa explained clearly. “I was very amused by the presence of this beautiful man. Especially at this age, it is very fun to play with this beautiful and adorable granddaughter.” Marisa showered Hasya's cheeks with gentle kisses making Hasya look at Marisa with annoyance.
“Ih, granddaughter oma naughty..” Marisa stroked her cheeks while grimacing but still smiling looking at Hasya's funny behavior.
Linda listened to Marisa's words, trying to understand her. I want it to feel like he stroked the hair of the little guy who was still engrossed with toys and songs he sang.
“Excuse me, bu.” Hani enters while carrying two glasses of warm tests along with a snack that Arin Marisa employees have prepared.
“Thank you, baby. Come sit here, mama knows with mama's best friend since High School.” Marisa pulls Hani by the hand and invites her to sit next to them. “Include Rara, my son-in-law. She is the mother of this little one.”
Linda was surprised after learning the truth. He looked at Hani and Hasya in turn. Now he understood why the face of the little one was so similar to Adi, because it was indeed the blood of his son's flesh. Sadness suddenly ambushed Linda's heart. What can he be proud of now, his favorite daughter-in-law to date has not given him a grandchild. While his former son-in-law who had given him a grandson had he thrown away. And he was now faced with the fact that the little guy who had been troubling his mind was his own grandson.
“I'm sorry, because at their engagement yesterday it wasn't for you. But your son and his wife came.” Marisa stops Linda's daydreaming, “Their next month is getting married. I hope you can come.”
Linda could not say a word, her eyes misty as she looked at Hasya who was now moved sitting on Hani's lap. The daughter-in-law he always underestimated, will now marry again and will be the daughter-in-law of his own friend a diamond businessman. What should he say to Marisa, because he never told his friend anything.
“Assalamu’alaikum.” baritone voice shocked the silence of the room. Steady steps sounded approaching them.
“Waalaikumussalam.” Answer them simultaneously.
“Papa...” without caring about everything, Hasya jumped down from Hani's lap directly running towards Faiq, who happened to come carrying twins Ariq and Ali all for lunch together.
“Good day, aunt.” Faiq greeted Linda politely, holding Hasya with the twins following her from behind.
Faiq rubbed Hani's head that was covered in hijab gently. The sweet smile on his face. Hani returned Faiq's smile. He has been steadfast in his decision to repay Faiq's attention, because Faiq's attitude towards his three children is so sincere and affectionate. He will pour out all the love in his heart for the wholeness of his new family.
Linda just nodded her head. His mouth could not say a word. His eyes only observed the scene so warm in front of him. He saw the hue of happiness emanating on Marisa's face. Marisa's gentle treatment of Hani also did not escape her observation. The family of the conglomerate was so considerate of treating his former son-in-law as well as grandchildren that he had never acknowledged so far. A warm and sad feeling spread in Linda's heart to see Ariq and Ali who were spoiled with Marisa.
“Oma, papa says today we have lunch together.” Ariq approached Marisa immediately kissing her hand which Ali followed.
“Salim used to be the same temen oma...” Marisa gestured Ariq and Ali while smiling at Linda.
“Good oma.” Ariq and Ali take turns to greet Linda. The two immediately sat down beside Hani.
Faiq holding Hasya also shook his body in front of Hani who was some distance away from Linda and Marisa.
Linda was stunned to see that sight. His grandchildren will soon find a new family. And they look very happy. She saw for herself how Marisa and Faiq treated her grandchildren and her former daughter-in-law so sincerely and lovingly.
Selfishness makes Linda never in the least pour out affection for her twin grandchildren who look healthy and very handsome. The perfect combination of Hani and Adi's face. Even the granddaughter who was a duplicate of Adi, who had stolen his heart, was now in the arms of someone else. And they don't even recognize it.
Is this what it feels like to be unrecognized? Linda felt something was missing from her heart. He should enjoy old age by playing with his grandchildren. And seeing the perfection of the little angel of God's creation that amazes anyone of their good looks and beauty, but the reality is now? He is still waiting for his favorite daughter-in-law who is pregnant to enter the age of four months.
“Rara darling? Have you chosen the ring for our wedding?” Faiq asked gently while observing Hani who was still choosing the appropriate ring for her.
“I don't know which one to choose, everything is good.” Hani is still flipping through the magazine. While Faiq smiled faintly at Hani's confusion.
Linda gulps. So tender the young man treated his former daughter-in-law. While he himself, never let Adi bother to take care of his son and wife. Adi is too busy with the company, so that all his mind and soul are only for the benefit of the company.
“Im sorry, Lin. Please enjoy the tea and snacks.” Marisa from earlier observed the attitude of her best friend. He clearly knew the sadness that was reflected in Linda's eyes. Marisa wants to teach her best friend a lesson that really likes to underestimate others.
Linda quickly drank the tea until it ran aground. He didn't want to see that together for much longer. His heart is in pain. During this time he was a noble person and from the descendants of the sultan, so that anyone did not dare to dwell on him. But this time, his grandchildren who were not only pure blood of his own flesh, did not care about him, did not even know him.
“Better I go. Sorry for interrupting your show.” Linda hurriedly picked up the bag lying on the table. Without looking back, he walked quickly, and determined not to return to this building.
Hani stared at the passing of her former in-laws wistfully. He looked at his three children. He felt sad to see Linda's attitude that did not care about her own grandchildren.
“Honey...” Faiq nudged his shoulder. He understood Hani's sadness. Those soft eyes seemed to be glazed. He wanted to hug, but Faiq knew himself, Hani was so self-limiting. To hold Hani's hand, he did not have the courage.
“Pardon dear mother, must involve you in this situation.” Marisa hugged Hani with pity. He patted Hani on the shoulder slowly giving her strength. “You can count on mom, dad and Faiq. I hope there are no more tears after your wedding. Because we will give happiness to you and your children.”
Hani just nodded in Marisa's arms. He felt protected by Marisa's treatment, no more worries he now felt.
“Unda tenapa?” Hasya looked at Hani who wiped away the tears flowing down her cheeks.
Faiq smiled at Hasya's question, “The mother was crying because it was laper, from earlier waiting for the oma again there was the theme.”
Hani glared annoyed at Faiq's joke. He hit Faiq's shoulder strongly. His eyes glared in annoyance towards Faiq.
“Ih, unda. Ndak airing papa.” Hasya glared towards her parents seeing Hani's treatment of Faiq. He stroked the shoulder of Faiq who had been hit by Hani.
Faiq laughed broadly at Hasya's behavior, making his dimples thinly printed. He showered Hasya's cheeks with soft kisses on her left and right cheeks, making Marisa and Hani share a laugh.
“Papa, when is lunch? I am hungry.” Ariq began to protest because there was no movement to leave the room. He and Ali had agreed to choose a different menu than usual.
“Oh yes, papa until forgot. Yok, we're getting ready now.” Faiq got up from his seat. He took the hand of Hasya who refused to be carried. “Wah dedek already big now, do not want papa gendong again ya?” Faiq rubbed the cubby cheek with a resplendent.
