The Desired Angel of Heaven

The Desired Angel of Heaven
Chapter 117

Faiq and Hani were outside the ICU with Widodo waiting for the hospital to return Hesti's body.

“I will keep my promise to pay whoever is willing to marry her,” Faiq said as Widodo sat beside her.

Widodo stared at Faiq's face with a wrinkled eel, “What do you mean?”

“Before you come, I have promised to ...”

“I understand you mean,” by Widodo fast, “I don't need your money. It's my responsibility to Nesti.”

Widodo anchored his gaze to the night sky. He breathed heavily. Then took out the cigarette box, which Faiq immediately rejected. He casually livened up the cigarette in his hand and sucked it in and then exhaled it quietly.

“Yuni told me where you are here. From the apple in my office directly to.” Widodo said quietly while exhaling cigarette smoke into the air, “Im sorry for the actions of my late wife who has troubled you.”

“I am very grateful for your presence.” said Faiq quickly. He could not imagine if Widodo did not come at the right time.

He looked at Hani who was sitting on his right who was only silent at their conversation. Faiq quickly took out something in his wallet, and wrote it down quickly.

“I can't possibly follow you guys all the way home. This is all I can give to help ease the burden of the family of the Goddess. Hopefully it can be used for other purposes. Please say hello to your late wife's family,” Faiq immediately say goodbye to Widodo while tucking in a paper when they shake hands.

Widodo nodded his head as he let go of the two. He saw the paper in his hand. Widodo gawked, apparently a check of 50 million rupiahs that had been inserted Faiq.

Suhendra, Andre and Dewi come out of the room, because Thamrin will accompany the hearse that will bring Hesti who will return home.

The goddess looked to the left and to the right looking for something. He looked at Widodo with displeasure.

“Tante looking for Mr Faiq and his wife? They have gone home,” Widodo said quickly, “Tuan Faiq just leave this, hopefully can be useful message.”

Dewi stared at the piece of paper that Widodo stretched out, he quickly grabbed it. Directly his eyes sparkle to see the value of the rupiah listed there.

“They did not come with anything,” he said smiling satisfied.

Andre just bobbed his head at his mother's very matre attitude. He looked at Widodo with a bad feeling.

Finally Widodo followed their steps to welcome the body of Hesti at home and prepare all the equipment for the needs of fardhu kifayah.

At exactly 10 p.m., Faiq and Hani returned home. Darmawan and Marisa were already waiting for the arrival of the two in the living room. The couple felt anxious, worried that bad things would happen to their son and daughter-in-law.

“Assalamu’alaikum.” Faiq gave his greetings as soon as he saw the lights in the living room were still brightly lit.

“Wa’alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.” Darmawan and Marisa answered together.

“Lho, father and mother have not slept?” Faiq looked at the two in surprise, not usually this hour was still relaxing in the living room.

“Mom was curious after you left earlier. What the hell's going on? Why did they call you again?” a series of questions flowed from Marisa's mouth.

“Hesti just died,” Faiq said flatly as he flung his body beside Marisa.

“Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun ..” both answer in unison.

Marisa and Darmawan smilingly looked at Hani while nodding their heads as well. He does not want to engage with talks that are beyond his capacity.

Marisa looked at Faiq with a frown, “Mother thought she was dead because the last news of her condition worsened.”

“Hanif had told me, before the death of bang Tama, Johan came to the family of Hesti. At that time the doctor assured that Westi could still survive if following the treatment procedure. But their families did not have enough money to support the treatment. Finally the late bang Tama undertakes the overall cost of treatment of Hesti as long as it does not disturb his children and ex-wife ..” sounds a sad tone Faiq remembers the late Tama.

Marisa shook her head in disbelief. Tama has always been a shield for their families.

“May Allah lighten and soften Tama's grave. He really is a good person,” muttered Darmawan almost inaudibly.

Marisa shut her mouth hearing Faiq's confession. She also knows the sacrifices Tama has made for the happiness of her son and daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

“Then for what problem did you get asked to come there?” cecar Marisa can't wait for the continuation of Faiq's story.

“Almarhumah Hesti wants to die married. His family tried to ask me to say ijab qabul back,” replied Faiq calmly.

“You did it again?” Marisa kept pressing.

Faiq shook his head quickly, “Luckily in the last seconds a man of their family acquaintance came and the wedding was workable.”

“Aalhamdulillah's. I'm grateful you're no longer involved with their family.”

“Is such marriage allowed in Islam?” replace Darmawan who is curious about Faiq's story.

“Wah, so the length of the story. But nothing is also a knowledge for us," Faiq smiled to hear his father who was very enthusiastic about discussing religion, "I've read a book by Prof. Abdul Karim Zaidan entitled al-Mufashhal fi Ahkam al-Mar’ati. In the book he gives the limits and provisions of what is meant by dying based on the perspective of the madhab scholars. In fikih terms, it is known as maradh al-maut.

According to the Hanafi School, the criteria of being seriously ill or dying are, among others, the person concerned is no longer able to perform his daily duties, in the context of women, for example, has been aged from taking care of home affairs. Whereas, for men, it is hindered from making a living.

The next criterion, the pain did not heal and feared death, according to medical glasses. This school also provides a one-year limit for the illness. When last one year healed, excluding sick dying.

In the Hanbali School, there are only two criteria, namely pain diagnosed to die and attachment to death, such as acute heart disease, lung, or deadly cancer. This school asserts, the verdict of the pain must be based on a doctor's diagnosis. Similar provisions also apply among the Shafi’i School.

Departing from this restriction, Prof. Zaidan completes the discussion of the above topics by outlining the views of each school addressing the law of marriage when conditions are dying or seriously ill.

The Maliki School holds that the marriage contract that takes place when one of the couples is suffering from acute pain is declared invalid. If it continues, it must be cancelled. This with a note as long as the concerned is declared no longer healed.

If later healed, according to the school affiliated to Imam Malik bin Anas, the provision of marriage back to the basic law, which is permissible. Then, if one of them dies before the marriage contract is annulled, it is not entitled to an heir.

Meanwhile, Hanafi School argues, may the law to hold a marriage when one of the prospective partners suffer severe pain with a commensurate dowry (mahar mitsil). If it exceeds the dowry, the law cannot.

This school affiliated to Imam Abu Hanifa argues that marriage is a basic human need that should not be curbed. Just like the need to eat and drink. No one has the right to prevent. The same assertion was also strengthened by the scholars of the Hanbali sect.

In the view of the school that refers to Ahmad bin Hanbal's ijtihad method, marriage can be carried out, both when healthy and when ill. Accords implemented are considered valid and have legal implications, such as inheritance. The mitsil fee is payable in this case and has nothing to do with receivables or heirs.

Meanwhile, the Shafi’i School stated, marriages that are carried out in sick conditions, the law is legitimate even though the biological needs of one partner cannot be met. In such cases, the husband is obliged to pay the mitsil dowry, which is a dowry tailored to the condition of the bride. Because in Indonesia, we mostly follow the Shafi’i School so there is no problem. And most importantly do not harm between both parties.” Faiq ended his explanation.

Darmawan mangosteen heard the detailed explanation of the child. He was amazed by Faiq's ability to explain things clearly. But naturally, Faiq is a former Judge in the Religious Court of course it must master such things. He patted Faiq on the shoulder before leaving him for the room as the night was getting late.
