The Desired Angel of Heaven

The Desired Angel of Heaven
Chapter 218 S2 (Will It Repeat?)

A feeling of sadness immediately enveloped Ivan's heart as he saw Bryan from outside the treatment room at Concord International Hospital which is one of the best hospitals in Singapore that provides cancer care best for patients.

The day that did not know the true story was surprised when Ivan took him to a special hospital for cancer treatment.  Both see from the glass, because the condition of Byan is not possible to be visited.

“Bos?” Day could not hide his curiosity, what else saw the face of Ivan who turned grimly uninspired, “Who was the boy”

“He's my son,” Ivan said with a sad look, “I only found out two weeks ago.”

Hari gawking in disbelief at Ivan's words. He did not dare to ask further. What she was thinking about now was whether the mistress had known that her husband had a son whom she thought was 8 or 9 years old. Day dared not imagine what would happen if the extended family of his boss' wife found out that Ivan had had a son from his past.

With Hari present Ivan sat down with dr. Leslie Chang, Sp.B.Onk., in her very comfortable practice room.

Ivan began to ask the origin of Leukaemia with a son he had just seen but had not been able to meet, because of his unstable condition to receive guests.

“I want to know the cause of my son suffering from the disease doctor?” Ivan looked at dr. Chang with an erratic feeling.

“Leukemia or white blood cell cancer is the most common type of cancer in children and adolescents. Abnormal white blood cells form in the bone marrow, spreading through the bloodstream and urging healthy cells. This increases the body's risk for infection and other problems.”

Ivan listened to dr. Chang is careful. He believes there is still a chance to provide healing to Bryan.

Dr. Chang continues his words, “Although severe if your child has cancer, you need to know that most children and adolescents with leukemia can be successfully cured.”

“How common is leukemia in children?”

“Leukemia in children can occur in children at any age. This can be overcome by reducing the risk factor.”

“What are the signs and symptoms, doc?”

“The common symptoms of leukemia in children are: fatigue or pale skin, infection and fever, easy bleeding or bruising, extreme fatigue or weakness, shortness of breath, cough,” dr. Chang sighed then continued his words, “Other symptoms may include: bone or joint pain, swelling of the abdomen, face, arms, armpits, side of the neck, or ************, swelling above the collarbone, loss of appetite or weight loss, headache, seizures, balance problems, or vision abnormalities, rashes, gum problems.”

“What are the treatments for Leukemia in Bryan doc?” Ivan became increasingly curious about dr. Chang.

“Before cancer treatment begins, sometimes a child needs treatment to deal with other complications of the disease. For example, changes in blood cells can cause infection or heavy bleeding and can impact the amount of oxygen reaching body tissues. Treatment can involve antibiotics, blood transfusions, or other measures to fight infection.”

Ivan was enthusiastic to hear dr. Chang. He believes his son is in good hands. And he will spend whatever the cost for the healing of his son alone. As Claudia said, she needed offspring to inherit all her possessions.

Dr. Chang continued his explanation, “Chemotherapy is the main treatment for childhood Leukemia. Your child will receive anticancer drugs to drink, or be injected into a vein or bone marrow fluid. To prevent leukaemia from returning, maintenance therapy may be done in cycles of two or three years.

Targeted therapies are sometimes also used for leukemia. This therapy targets specific parts of the cancer cells, working in a different way than standard chemotherapy. Effective for some types of childhood leukemia, targeted therapies often provide fewer side effects.

Other types of treatment may include radiation therapy, which uses high-energy radiation to kill cancer cells and shrink tumors. It may be used to help prevent or treat the spread of leukemia to other parts of the body. Surgery is rarely used to treat childhood leukemia.

If standard treatment seems less effective, a stem cell transplant may be the best option. This involves transplanting stem cells after whole-body radiation combined with high-dose chemotherapy is first performed to destroy the child's bone marrow.”

Meanwhile, in a well-known IT company, it looks like Ariq and Ali and Fatih gathered. They want to hear the whole Valdo story.

During Babby A's birthday, Valdo receives a photo from his friend a surgeon at the hospital where Bryan is being treated. And it just so happened that he was the head of the Oncology room for cancer surgery and the like.

Valdo's colleague, dr. Samuel Gow, Sp.B sent a photo of Ivan visiting a patient named Bryan Alexander who was just 9 years old.

Valdo doesn't believe dr. Samuel connected via cell phone to tell of his meeting with Ivan. Samuel said Ivan did not recognize him. But he knew exactly, because his position and his company were very famous not difficult for people to know Ivan.

Dr. Samuel immediately told the name of the patient Ivan visited with a name very similar to him, and the exact same face with blackish brown hair.

Valdo was already uncomfortable. He immediately asked dr. Samuel to do a DNA test confirmed his suspicions. Moreover, Khaira did not tell in detail her husband's trip to Singapore, when they gathered that afternoon at Valdo's house.

With the help of dr. Samuel continues to observe and follow Ivan's movements for two days in the hospital, Valdo's wish is achieved. With a thumping feeling he read the results of the DNA that had been sent dr. Samuel.

Valdo's heart pounded irregularly knowing his suspicions turned out to be true. He thought long. There was no way he could directly tell Hasya. Until he finally called Ariq to meet to talk about his findings about Ivan's son and his lover in the past.

Now the four sit together in Ariq's study listening to Valdo's story about Ivan's biological son due to his past relationship. Even Ivan has taken care of and financed all his treatment in Singapore.

“This is what I'm worried about,” Ali snarls right away.

“Will the story of father and mother come back to hit Rara?” Ariq shook his head unable to imagine his sister's disappointment if he knew the truth that Ivan had a child.

“What does Ariq mean?” Fatih was curious about Ariq's words.

Ariq sighed heavily, “Dad took off mother for coming back with her past love.”

“Didn't Ivan love Rara so much?” Fatih still remembers Ivan saying the other day when the family wanted to take Rara away.

“How about her lover, have they ever met?” now Ali was increasingly curious to hear the conversation Ariq and Fatih.

“According to my informant who works there, the Caucasian woman named Claudia. He once came to Ivan in the company,” Ariq said with a heavy sigh.

“What should we do?” Fatih looked at his three brothers in confusion.

“We will meet Ivan and ask for an explanation from him,” said Ariq slowly, “I'm sure Rara has not known this problem.”

“Do we need to discuss this with Rara first?” ali asked while looking at Ariq who looked tense.

“No,” Ariq reply quickly, “We will discuss this with Ivan first. After hearing whatever Ivan's decision is new we meet Rara.”

“Did Sasha know this problem?” Fatih finally looked at Valdo who was speechless hearing the words of his brother-in-law.

Valdo shook his head, “I haven't talked about this matter with him. I'm afraid he'll act beyond our expectations.”

“True, it's better that Sasha doesn't know about this problem until Rara and Ivan talk about it together. However, they are the ones who will decide.”

“What if Ivan wants to marry siri to a woman who has given him a child?” Valdo asks a question that Fatih hates a lot, although in his heart it is also implied that question.

“All the decisions of the two of them we must respect. Who live them, we just look. Hopefully whatever they decide is the best,” Ariq said calmly.
