Chapter 4. The Kingdom of Kano: Case

Eva follows Sayn into the teleportation portal. There he found a strange mansion. He did not sense Sayn's existence at all, so he tried to look for her. Until he finally meets a secret basement that holds many children. A shopkeeper she knew also suddenly picked up one of the children. Eva decides to follow him so she can meet Sayn and tell him what she is feeling.

I followed the shopkeeper secretly. We got out of the basement and returned to the mansion. Then the shopkeeper started to press the strange button that was on the wall of the hall.
Drrrtt! His aura creaked and suddenly his walls shifted, revealing another secret space.
"Damn! How many secret rooms are there?" muttered.
After the shopkeeper and the boy entered. I immediately followed him before the secret door slowly closed and reshaped the wall.
As I entered, I walked down the dark hallway with a light dot ahead. And when I got to the light source, I saw a white room. No, it's a room! I saw a bed, a table and a chair. Then there's the toilet. And I saw a middle-aged man with a fat body sitting on a bed and pajamas. Sayn was on the other side, sitting in the guest chair. And the shopkeeper approached them while pulling the child.
"This is the master" said the shopkeeper as he pulled the child away. "I brought it"
"Ah~ my poor son~" said the fat master as he hugged the boy in his chest. "I'm really reluctant to part from you" she said sadly.
Sayn was still on the other side. He immediately threw magic at the boy and hypnotized him. He also cast magic to protect the boy's mind "Come, didn't you say you wanted to come with me?" Sayn.
And the boy nodded obediently like a corpse.
While the fat master made an unhappy face when he saw the child. But the look on his face turned sad again suddenly. He even shed tears. "Pardon me for not making you satisfied okay. You can come back. But I miss you" He hoped this boy would undo his intentions. But this boy did not respond to anything and simply fell silent. As if it doesn't exist at all.
"Come on" Sayn without getting stale pulled the boy's hand.
'At least I can dig up information from this brat' Sayn thought.
"Thank you for your help sir" Sayn said politely. "We retreat first"
The fat master stared intently at Sayn and smiled. "Alright, be careful on the road"
Sayn unceremoniously breezed out of the room.
I who was adhering quickly ran down the hall and opened the wall door. Then I put myself in the outer courtyard, waiting for Sayn to come out.

After Sayn and the boy left. Only the master and his servant remained in the room.
"You've washed his mind, haven't you?" asked the fat master it was cold.

"But it can't be certain that the child won't say anything" the fat master said anxiously. "Send some people and kill the kid."
"But sir.the man was a messenger from the royal family.." replied the servant was afraid. He was afraid that the kingdom would know of them.
"Hmmm!" snort the fat master with an arrogant face. "Whatever. He's just a waiter. It is impossible for a royal envoy to dress like a beggar. I've met the real servant messenger. They wear clothes with the royal insignia. The messenger is not a playful position. I am easily fooled. Judging from his appearance, he was just an ordinary servant who was told to serve. Besides, I only ordered you to kill the boy. Even if the messenger is hurt. Just kill it. And dump the body. No one's going to look for the corpse of a lowly servant."

After seeing Sayn and the boy exiting the mansion, I immediately approached them.
Sayn's eyes widened in shock when she saw Eva approaching them.

"ah! I'm wrong! I'm sorry!" I cried out apologetically as I raised both my hands to protect my face. I was really scared to see Sayn's face like this. I expected it from a murderer. He has a terrible aura.
Sayn smiled as she looked at Eva's silly actions, and of course Eva didn't notice them. He immediately raised his hand and flicked the girl's forehead firmly. "Don't do this again. It's hazardous. Why do you always involve yourself in dangerous things? Are you tired of living?" sayn said with a cold tone.
"Uh.." I just complained while rubbing my forehead. "I'm sorry. I won't do it again." I said sorry.
"I don't believe you" Sayn denied. "People like me will never be deterred. Will repeat it and repeat the mistakes. How could a noble girl have such mischievous habits"
"Humph!" I puffed my cheeks pouting. "I'm not at all naughty. I'm just a little excited. And I'm always curious. I'm not bad at all!" I can't accept being told that bad girl okay? Really bad nickname.
Haa~ Sayn sighed. "Come, leave this place. We'll get out of here." Sayn pulled the boy's hand and took him flying. After which, Eva caught up with him flying as well. They flashed out of the courtyard and down the forest surrounding this mansion.
"ah! This mansion is really secluded huh...Being in the middle of a forest like this" I murmured. "I also saw a lot of secret rooms inside the mansion."

"Say...I want to tell you something. I saw something strange in the mansion. There's a basement. Then there were iron bars inside the basement. And there's a lot of kids in it. Then the children were fitted with a strange hose that ran something from their bodies into a large tank"
Sayn stopped her movement immediately. He looked at Eva and shook his shoulders. "Where did you see him? Tell me everything!"
I also started telling everything. You just have to open the basement with a string on the ceiling. Then go down the hall to see the kids. I explained in detail what I had seen at the time. "Is this related to your mission Sayn?"
Sayn nodded.

But Sayn ignored Eva's words and dragged the girl's body behind her. He pulled the boy's hand and threw it at Eva. "Take that boy!"

"Some are following us" Sayn said vigilantly as she scanned the entire forest.
Uh! I just realized that this sudden change in Sayn's attitude was because she felt an intruder....I also started using my mana to observe the area around. And sure enough! I felt a lot of people surrounding us. Since when are they chasing? Who sent them?
"Shut up here and take care of the boy. I will take care of it" Sayn said heroically as she flew towards the enemy.

And BLARR! This magic hit both of them. And I seem to be overreacting. Because my magic leaves none of their bodies at all. Make them melt. And I'm also ruining the environment again by making big prints on the ground." Uh! They're too weak" I murmured.
THE PUK! Sayn suddenly appeared and hit me on the head. "Don't underestimate the fight, even if they're weak, if you're not alert. They're gonna hurt you" he advised. "Let's go home, I don't get any information from these insects at all. I'll come back here again later along with the others" Sayn swiftly grabbed Eva and the boy, then slowly the three figures faded and disappeared.
