Chapter 6 Diana (Final 1)
Without feeling another year has passed. Diana was 19 years old and she lived in the mansion for two years.
Diana was worried because her mother did not pick her up and she could not contact Ren anymore either. So that he could only ask Enell for help to escort him to the dark elf forest.
Enell slightly flinched upon hearing Diana's request. "Dark elf forest? That place is dangerous! Why do you want to go there?"
"My mom is there. In that forest" Diana replied softly.
"What do you mean?"
"My mother and I are dark witches"
Enell's eyes immediately gawked in shock. But it was only an instant before he set his expression back. "Then?"
"Because my mother had so much dark mana, the elf king asked for her help to do some research. But it's been two years, it should have been done, but he didn't tell me at all. At least I want to see him." Diana looked at Enell seriously. "Do you hate me after knowing that I'm a dark wizard?"
Enell sighed, then she looked at Diana with a smile. "I was quite surprised to find out. But I'm not a narrow-minded person. I don't hate you. You didn't commit any crime anyway. The bad guys are relative. I've killed a lot of bad guys, so I know it better than anybody else"
Diana heaved a sigh of relief "But my dark mana will only appear suddenly. So you don't have to worry if anyone else finds out"
"After you find your mother. Do you want to be a wanderer again? Leave me?" ask Enell. His face was quite sad now.
Diana was worried. "I don't know." she replied softly.
Enell touched Diana's shoulder. "Have you thought about my request before? I'll never change my mind about that. I want you to stay with me"
A year ago, Enell proposed to him. Diana refused it.
Diana had so many considerations as to why she had rejected Enell's proposal. First, she is a dark witch. Second, he needed to think about his mother as well.
Thirdly, there were countless noble girls who were eyeing Enell. Diana was already used to the sight of the noble girl teasing Enell before her eyes. Although Enell rejected them coldly.
Fourth, their marriage would never be approved by the Enell family. Diana had heard of Enell and the elders of the family fighting over marriage. The elders arranged Enell's engagement with the other noble's son. But Enell refused and became conflicted.
Diana did not know if she could face everything. Not to mention the latest reality he received, namely his mother hated nobles very much.
Seeing Diana's hesitation, Enell did not force her decision any further. He just sighed to calm his emotions. "I'll take you to the elf forest" he made a decision.
Diana looked at him in disbelief. Diana felt a little guilty. The man did everything for her but he could not repay her kindness.
"Thank you" Diana could only thank you so much.
A month later, Enell received a royal call to lead the war. So she had to delay her plan to escort Diana to the elf forest.
Diana had no problem with the delay. He instead insisted on following Enell to the battlefield. But of course Enell balked at that. So Diana could only give up and wait for Enell until she finished her work.
Week pass. Diana always saw the latest news about the border war from newspapers in the capital. They say that the war went well. Enell's forces managed to repel the enemy and even take over enemy territory. They said the king would give the man a great gift for his services.
Enell's been away at war for a month. The man should be back soon. Diana remained waiting at the mansion as usual. She ate, slept, played with the waiter and cared for the flowers.
But something unexpected happened in that mansion. The noble elder was visiting the mansion of Enell. The moment they saw Diana's whereabouts, their faces turned ugly.
"So you're the woman who bewitched the boy!" a middle-aged man dragged Diana along, trying to take her somewhere.
The servants and soldiers tried to stop him. But they were repulsed by the bodyguards that the elder had brought.
Diana wanted to rebel. But the elder threatened to kill everyone in the mansion, so Diana could only resign and obey.
The elder took him somewhere in the middle of the forest. Diana had no idea what the old man would do to her.
"She's the witch's woman!"
"Isn't your son Fifi already the queen of this country? We can easily execute our plans. Tell your son to deliver poison to the new king"
"She's a brash princess! He severed his ties with the family and went to side with the royal family. The new king washes his brain. Truly a very unfilial and useless child!"
Diana could hear countless conversations about power struggles. She even heard that Fifi married the king and became the queen. Honestly speaking, Diana had never asked the situation of the girl all this time. But there has been no major wedding news for the past two years. So it's likely that Fifi got married before she met Enell and entered the capital.
"Now this bitch is trying to brainwash our young master!"
"Get him out before things get any further. We better get rid of him now before the kid comes back."
"You're right. We can say that this bitch died being eaten by a magical beast "
"Don't forget to kill all the eyewitnesses in the mansion"
"You lied! You told me to let them live!" Diana shouted furiously. He did not even react to anything when those people were planning to kill him. But he showed a strong reaction when he knew the innocent servants and soldiers would be killed. They promised to let those people live. They seem to be lying!
"Shut up!" One of the Elders slapped him hard.
Diana held the slap with an ugly face. He's not scared at all. He even looked at all those people with a look of hatred.
One of the elders felt uncomfortable with Diana's gaze. He pulled his sword. "We just end it here" he said sharply while slashing Diana's body.
Diana closed her eyes. But he did not feel any pain in his body. Diana thought that she was dead now therefore she did not feel any pain. But it was wrong.he opened his eyes and found a transparent protector surrounding his body. Then the little necklace given by Ren was smashed into pieces when the protector appeared.
"Magic Artifacts?"
"This is a very powerful magic artifact! Where did this bitch get her? Did Enell give it to him?"
But unfortunately the protector did not last long. The protector slowly faded away and the elder launched a second attack. The second strike managed to get Diana's arms and legs injured as the protector did not fully withstand the entire attack.
But Diana's expression was very flat. It was as if he did not feel any pain from his injuries.
A third attack was carried out. Diana closed her eyes. But just like before. He doesn't feel anything. Instead he felt his body float and someone held his waist.
Diana opened her eyes and saw a familiar figure. "Enell?"
Enell's face is so scary now. He stared coldly at everyone in front of him. Even he did not care that Diana called him.
"Mr Enell are you back?"
"Young man, this isn't what you see. That woman stole our family's treasure. You shouldn't have helped her."
SWOOSH
Enell slashed his sword and the screaming man split into two halves.
Everyone was frozen in place. Diana's face even paled. He had never seen such a blatant murder before. Seeing the blood and flesh scattering before her eyes, Diana felt extremely nauseous.
"Close your eyes" Enell said as she placed her palm in Diana's eyes.
"Emm?"
"Don't listen to anything. Ignore all the screaming you hear. Although they won't be able to scream" Enell said coldly.
Diana did not know what happened because her eyes were closed. Enell did not even move from where it originally was. But Diana could hear the sound of her extremely powerful sword slash. Interspersed with a screaming voice. Diana tried to ignore all of that. Even though his heart is very nervous right now.
Enell tries to kill the last man, Fifi's father. Enell didn't care that the man was Fifi's parents. Because he always treated Fifi unfairly since the girl was a child. That's why Fifi always comes to her place to ask for protection. So according to Enell, he also did not deserve to live.
