Chapter 7 The Madness of the Marquis

Duke Enell faced several warriors and great generals guarding the gates of the capital. Then Sayn, Eva and Emerta broke through to the capital. They encounter several witches who put up seals throughout the royal capital. Emerta stayed behind and faced the whole witch. Eva and Sayn headed to the execution hall.

After Robert explained everything in public, everyone began to direct their gazes at Marquis Zent. This made the Marquis freeze on the spot without him noticing.
"Marquis" Denis' voice broke the silence and the Marquis l; instantly flinched. He looked at Denis but was not frozen.
"How are you going to explain all this?" Denis continued in a cold voice, making the Marquis a little panicked.
"So I'm going to send some people to your mansion to check out the underground lab" Denis said quickly.
Marquis Zent's eyes were wide open. This time he was sweating and his face became extremely pale. "Your highness..."
Before Marquis Zent could finish his talk, Denis interrupted his words "I'll check your residence". He looked at the guard standing beside him. He was Jean, one of the right-handers of his faith. Denis did not say anything, but Jean gave a small nod and disappeared on the spot. It seems they are communicating with telepathic magic.
The marquis panicked when he saw one of Denis' subordinates disappear. He instantly stared at the two witches who had been following him all along and sent out telepathic signals.
"You two, stop that guy! If everything is exposed you and your strange organization will also be dragged" he said in a panic. "Or do something that prevents that person from finding it all!"
The two cloaked figures looked at each other before finally nodding small and disappearing on the spot. The Marquis let out a sigh of relief when he saw the two were cooperative. But the panic did not go away.
Robert watched the Marquis with his eagle eyes. He could notice that the man was acting suspiciously. And suddenly the two strange people beside him also disappeared on the spot.
"follow them" Robert said to the two Dean who were nearby. The two Dean simply blinked his eyes and disappeared. They already understood Robert's instructions.
The atmosphere in the hall became silent for a few minutes. But none of them came back. Denis and Marquis waited in silence. And all the spectators did not dare to open their mouths.
Shortly after, Jean again stood beside Denis suddenly. His presence made everyone swallow their saliva from feeling tense. Then the two people communicated with telepathic magic, thus making everyone curious about what they were talking about.
The marquis glanced to the right and to the left to see if the two white-robed men had already returned. But he found no sign of their arrival. And make him panic.
Denis saw everyone in the hall. He wanted to say something but suddenly BOM! CRACK IT! The barrier that enveloped the entire capital broke out. And everyone was distracted with a loud thud that shattered the magic barrier.
"The guards in front of the gate reported that some Duke soldiers attacked us"

"They also have witches and right now those witches are entering the capital"
After the words "witch" were mentioned, everyone started to turn their heads towards Dean Wason, who was sitting casually while crossing his legs.
Dean Wason put on a puzzled face and raised both his hands "Not us" he said briefly. His statement has claimed that the witches did not come from his Magic Tower. They must be some outside mages helping the Duke.
Denis scrunched his forehead. It seemed like he knew where those outside witches came from. Denis thinks that they are from the Kano kingdom because he saw Sayn, the prince, leading them. So Denis assumed that the Kano Kingdom took advantage of this opportunity to invade their kingdom.
In a moment when everyone was confused, the Marquis stood up while putting on a very cold face.The two people really did not return. His feelings are getting very bad now.
"Did they run away and leave him alone?" thought Marquis. If this really happened, he was in danger. If all that proves Denis will punish him. His career as a noble would definitely be ruined.
"Why is it like this?" he murmured in frustration while laughing like a madman. If Denis discovers the fact that he killed the King, he will be executed on the spot.
The freaks promised him to make him live peacefully in the kingdom. The plan is perfect. They even promised to take over the kingdom with their power. The marquis believed it completely because those two people were light magicians! If the organization had many light magicians, wouldn't it be so amazing? Even the Well kingdom won't be able to face them. Obtaining the support of such a fearsome organization was certainly a confident Marquis.
But the organization that supported him suddenly disappeared without explaining anything to him. If he blames it all on that strange organization. He will still be blamed.
The marquis is almost crazy. His plan should have gone perfectly. But it failed due to an unexpected incident. He should be able to get rid of the Duke without having to kill the King and do anything else. But due to the intervention of a freak with Robert, his plan is ruined.
"At least I won't break myself." said Marwuis growled. He looked at everyone with eyes full of hatred. His fate should not be like this. This is all his fault! He focused on Diana who was in the middle of the hall and started to blame Diana for everything. Nope. He blamed the Duke and his family. At least he had to make them suffer or get rid of one of them.
The marquis headed straight towards the center of the hall at the moment when everyone started to riot due to the assault in front of the capital's gate. They were worried about the safety of their home if the troops managed to break through the gate. To be honest they did not expect, Duke, a figure they considered a hero would attack his own homeland.
Everyone is thinking too much. The Duke had absolutely no intention of barging in. He just wanted to make sure that his son and wife would get out safely from the capital. After that they will withdraw. After all, Duke would never harm the residents and he had no intention of killing innocent citizens.
Diana stared at the Marquis with puzzled eyes. He was also confused by the situation. He was ready to sacrifice himself for everyone. But he did not expect that the situation would become like this.
The Marquis looked at Diana with red eyes. "Dead" He muttered softly as he took out the dagger on his waist and stabbed it swiftly into Diana's chest which was still kneeling with his hands locked.
