Chapter 6 Diana

Eva decides to return to her mansion because she needs to see her mother. Ren stops her halfway because he wants to take her back to the tree house, for research. But he managed to escape and return to his mansion.
When he returned, his parents were waiting for him in the living room. Diana wanted to tell everything, about her past, to Eva.

I did not answer and just nodded slowly.
Diana began to tell her childhood stories.

Diana was still an 8-year-old girl. He lives with his mother. He had no father and he never asked. The little girl had absolutely no idea about the origin of her family.
Diana and her mother lived to be nomads who crossed many kingdoms. At that time little Diana also did not know that dark witches like her were very hostile to the world. So he did something very fatal.
Diana and her mother were crossing a kingdom. The kingdom was not as prosperous as the kingdom of Well. The houses there are still made of earth. Even his palace was made of bricks. A remote kingdom that was as vast as just a small town.
The kingdom was called Garbiur. The kingdom where the travelers gather. In addition to the wanderers, the fugitives from other kingdoms also gathered in this place to hide.
As a result, this place is famous as a city of crime. There were a lot of horrible people gathered in this place. From assassins, kidnappers, slave traders and even dark witches.
Diana and her mother only arrived in this city a few hours ago. But they had already gotten sharp gazes from everyone who passed by. They looked at the mother and child pair as tender prey. It was a beautiful woman and a funny girl. They will be very good if sold or used for other things.

"What are you doing?" he snapped while pushing Diana's small body.
Little Diana did not have any strength in her weak body that was instantly thrown to the side. His right hand was injured because he was trying to withstand the weight of his body. But she's not crying.
"I'm just trying to help you" Diana said softly. Even though he was injured by the boy, he still approached him. Then she reached out her hand to give the child some more care.
"Your injuries are terrible. My mother said the untreated wounds would be full of worms. We don't have a healer who can heal you in this place. I can only prevent your wounds from becoming infected and becoming home to worms" Diana said with her innocent face.
The boy only frowned when he heard Diana's stupid explanation. But he did not push Diana like before. He felt a little guilty instead when he saw the scratch on the little girl's hand.
Diana continued to do her treatment. And the wound had improved even though it did not heal quickly.
Not long after, the other girl woke up. The girl hugged the boy while crying. "Sister! I'm scared!"
Diana blinked in shock as she pointed at the two people in front of her. "You brothers?"
"He's my cousin" the boy replied.
Diana just nodded in understanding. Then he tried to talk to the girl. Diana was quite enthusiastic as she looked at someone who was the same age as her. Like finding a new playmate.
"Hey, introduce. My name is Diana"
But the boy did not respond to anything and instead hid in fear behind the boy's back. But Diana did not care and continued her chat happily.
Two days passed. They were kept locked up in iron cages. The kidnappers only gave them food three times a day. But there was no sign that they would be expelled from this place.
Diana spent her time happily. She was quite happy because she was not starving Every day she would use her magic to treat the boy while continuing to babble. Even the two pairs of brothers were getting tired of listening to his chatter.
"Have you always been like this?" ask the boy.
"Your? Of course~" replied Diana happily. "I smile every day. Mom says you have to smile so people don't hate me. Don't be like her very stingy self to smile" he pouted.
The boy looked at Diana with a serious look. "Are you going to smile when you die? Especially now" he said sharply.
"Your? Am I going to die now?" diana asked confusedly.
The boy gave up. He felt that he would not be able to reach out to Diana's mind.
The third day passed. Eventually the three children were taken out of the cage.
They were taken into a room with their hands tied. There they saw a fat man with a creepy face.
"Three very nice kids. Good job" praise the fat man.
"How much are they worth? Are you going to buy everything?" The skinny man beside him said enthusiastically while rubbing his hands together.
"Three hundred taels of gold" replied the fat man. "I can't give you more"
"Okay, Deal"
The three children were transferred to a slave trader. The fat man stood up and squatted down to touch the boy's chin one by one.
"Smooth skin. I can sell girls in brothels or to nobles. While the male I will sell it to the noble lady who is interested in beautiful boys. Even if he doesn't sell, I can sell him as a mine worker. He will be a useful slave." he murmured

Diana simply lowered her face with a flat expression as she muttered softly "Mother..." .
