Chapter 6 Diana and Ren

Diana took the initiative to replace Fifi for sale first. But he managed to escape by unleashing his first dark magic unconsciously until he collapsed. When he fainted, an unknown person took him away.
While on the other hand, cavalry with hundreds of horses attacked the Garbiur kingdom. The cavalry wanted to take over the city. And who would have thought that the attack plan was planned by a little boy named Enell.

Diana felt her head hurt. Even though he woke up and opened his eyes, his head was throbbing in pain.
"Drink this" a foreign voice told him to drink the potion in a strange bottle.
But somehow, Diana believed in the stranger and she drank the potion obediently.
The soothing liquid fell down his throat and into his stomach. That fresh feeling spread throughout his body and his headache slowly faded.
"You're using too much of your dark mana. You almost died because there was almost no mana left in your body" explained the stranger.
"Thank you" Diana said sincerely. He got up from his sleep to see who was helping him.
It was a young man in his 20s.
"Thank you sister" Diana said again. She thanked him again because the man did not respond at all.
"No need to thank me" he replied.
"Umm..but what do you mean dark magic? I have absolutely no such evil magic" asked Diana. He was confused, but he also did not believe that he was using dark magic.
The man looked at Diana with a pitiful look. Her family had completely kept that from her, until the little girl knew nothing of her origin.
"I won't say anything anymore" the man gave up. "I'll leave all of it to your family. If you want to know something, you better ask your parents" he replied. The man let Diana, and refocused on her work.
Diana nodded obediently. "Ep. I'll ask her later" she said innocently. Then he began to wonder what the man was doing.
"Sister, what are you doing?" diana asked curiously while stealing a glance. Diana saw the man making a strange potion. The room he now occupied was filled with strange plants, powder and books. "Do you make poison?"
"Don't touch the stuff that's here carelessly or I'll throw you away" he threatened.
"But I really don't want to stay in this place anyway" Diana replied as she puffed her cheeks.
"..."
The man fell silent.
"Then find your mother quickly"
"How am I looking for my mother? If I roam now, I'll be kidnapped again. I don't want to!"
"Then, be a good boy. Don't touch my research stuff carelessly. I've spread the word to the dark wizard community. Your mother's gonna pick you up soon"
Diana still put on her pouting face "Why should the dark witch? My mother has absolutely nothing to do with dark witches!" she insisted.
The man did not want to serve the children, so he could only let her babble.
Diana kept asking. Every time he found a strange object he would babble to ask. The man will ignore her, but not completely. He would answer once in a while if his mood was good.
Without feeling a week passed. But his mother hasn't picked him up at all.
"Sister, you're spreading information to the wrong place. My mother won't find me in that dark witch society!" diana protested with pouting cheeks.
"If your mother doesn't pick you up means she doesn't want you anymore" the man said rudely. He did not know that the words hurt Diana's heart.
Diana, who was always smiling, immediately put on a pitiful face when she heard the statement.
The man found it strange that the little girl did not reply to him. Usually, the girl rambles very loudly. He turned his head and looked at Diana with reddened eyes. The little girl held back her cries by biting her own lips.
The man felt guilty. "I'm sorry" he said.
"Mom couldn't have dumped me. He's not my father!" Diana shouted with tears streaming down her cheeks. Surprisingly, even though Diana was crying, she did not sob at all. She was crying in silence.
Diana did look nimble and childish. But something in him grew up quickly. Diana could easily control her fear and sadness. That's why he can smile happily even though he is sad and scared.
"Em, it's okay. I'll stop crying now" Diana replied. In a moment his tears stopped coming out. Diana wiped the remains of tears on her cheeks with her shirt. Making her soft cheeks reddened due to the friction of the cloth.
"Your mother will come. Maybe there was something on the way that got him stuck here." explained the man again. "Alright, now I'm going to take you out to eat a snack" the man carried Diana. He wanted to overcome his guilt by feeding the little girl with a snack.
"Thank you brother. You're very kind. When I grow up I want to marry you~" said Diana innocently as she hugged the man's neck tightly.

The man immediately choked. For thousands of years he has not received a statement of love from anyone. But who would have thought his first love statement came from an 8-year-old human girl. He doesn't accept that.
Of course the man instantly forgot Diana's words in an instant. In his mind it was just a child's thought and he wouldn't take it seriously.

"No problem. I can take care of it" Ren replied with a flat expression.
The woman took out a black wooden box from her dimensional space "This is compensation for distressing you" she said formally.
"No need" Ren tried to resist. He had no intention of taking anything from a wandering woman who had nothing.
"Don't underestimate my appearance. Just get that wooden box. I'm sure you'll need it someday" the woman said meaningfully.
Ren accepts. He opened the box. His eyes immediately turned bright. He looked at the woman earnestly "Thank you" he said. "I really need this thing"
The woman just smiled.
After that he took his daughter away from Ren's residence.
"Mother, can I see my sister again?" asked Diana innocently.
The woman looked at him seriously. "Don't trouble him again in the future. We'll go somewhere else. It's impossible to go back to this place." The woman quickly shattered the little Diana's dream.
Diana was feeling sad now. But he nodded obediently, obeying the words of his mother. He also did not want to trouble Ren any further.
"Mother, I also want to ask you something. Are we really dark witches?"
The deg! The woman flinched. He lifted Diana up and looked at her fixedly. "Where did you hear that?"
"Sister Ren told me. That's not true, is it?" Diana blinked innocently.
The woman bit her lips, as if it was very difficult to answer the question of her only daughter. "If that's true, do you hate me?" the woman asked back.

The woman smiled a little. He carried Diana in his arms. Then he kissed her forehead.
"We're not bad people. Don't think like that. Everyone will be evil if they have evil thoughts. We won't be evil if we have good thoughts" the woman explained wisely. "Sometimes the world is too unfair, especially for us. So you have to be smart to put yourself in" she said melancholy.
"I will listen to mother's advice well" Diana said happily.
The two women continue their journey to circumnavigate this world, seeking a place to live in peace.
