Chapter 6 The Precious

Ren discovers that Eva is crying in her place. So he invited her in. Even serve her soda to cheer her up.
After she calms down, Eva begins to ask Ren how she feels about being the bad guy in the eyes of the world.
Ren answered the question with a smile and was full of confidence. Upon hearing her words, Eva was relieved. All his anxiety faded. At least he won't think too much anymore.

"But, wouldn't such a thing make you shunned by others? Living alone? And maybe even your enemies will hurt someone precious to you" I asked again.
Ren's face immediately turned disappointed. "What you're saying is, I've experienced it before." she replied softly. "I have no problem being shunned by others. But I hate it the most when my enemies target the people around me!"
Seeing Ren's expression that was quite sad, I'm sure something happened before him. "Has that happened before?"
Ren nodded. "Even if they didn't kill him, he was still wounded. That's why I try not to get too close to a lot of people"
I nodded in understanding. I will not ask who is the precious person to him who has been hurt. Ren looked very sad when he talked about it. It's a privacy issue anyway.
"But you will never be alone, as evil as you are in the eyes of the world" Ren added. "At least there will be one person who supports you and considers you valuable" he said nostalgically.
I'm musing. I remember Eva's past life. Even though the girl eventually died miserably. He still has some people who love him. And those are his parents. Unfortunately, Eva was completely unaware of that. And keeps troubling her parents just to chase after the man who hates her.
But now my parents are still living healthy. I even have a funny new sister.
My family is precious. They will never leave me, even if everyone in the world dies. So I shouldn't have to think too hard and be sad anymore. All I need to think about now is how to keep them all safe from any dangerous events.
Besides, the future of death was only directed at me. Not the people closest to me. So everything should be okay, right?
Seeing Eva's eyes brighten, Ren smiled again. "Are you thinking about your parents?" ren asked, as if he already knew Eva's thoughts.
I'm nodding.
"I also have one family left in this world. She's my little sister" Ren replied later. Then he thought hard. "But it seems like I haven't seen her in decades, I don't know how she's doing right now." she muttered.
Ren's sister? Like I remember that girl. Little Elf girl who is crazy about her brother. She is the main antagonist as well, just like me, Charlotte and Vivian.
But I don't remember how the story ended for the girl. Maybe because Ren's appearance in the novel was only a little. So the appearance of the little elf girl was somewhat transparent.
I just remember. As Ren becomes interested in Reina, the little elf girl finds out. Then he starts messing with Reina by interrupting her journey. Even he set up some traps that almost made Reina lose her life.
Ren knew it was his sister. Her sister did that only out of a small jealousy and made Ren feel guilty towards Reina. So Ren locked the girl away for thousands of years as punishment.
"You got a sister?" I asked innocently, pretending not to know about everything.
"Yes, the last time I saw him he was your age. Maybe now he's getting a little bigger. Even though he remains short" Ren replied with a soft laugh.
"Sorry.." I said softly. I really couldn't order my stomach to stop making noise. It's all reflexes anyway. And I didn't think that reflex would stop our conversation.
Ren leaves the room to make dinner. He also did it quickly so he could not see Eva's shocked face at all as she had already left the room.
It only takes a minute to make dinner. Ren was only grilling the rare monster meat he hunted.
By the time she returned with two servings of grilled meat, Eva was already asleep.
"I just went to the kitchen for a few minutes and she was already asleep" Ren grumbled as he placed his grilled meat on the table.
He could hear Eva's breathing very clearly. He said that the little girl was sleeping very well.
Ren reflexively placed his hand on Eva's forehead to feel her body temperature. She was afraid the girl had a fever. Although that is not possible, because people in this world are not susceptible to mild diseases such as fever. But somehow Ren did so, he had no particular reason for his actions.
"He's fine" Ren murmured softly.
He immediately carried Eva in his sling. Even when touched, Eva was completely unperturbed. Ren wants to take the girl home.
It only took her a few minutes to teleport to the Duke Court mansion. He even teleported directly into Eva's room. And put the girl carefully on her bed.
"Why are you here?" Ren immediately turned to the direction of the source of the voice. He was quite surprised.
Then from behind the window, Fram was flying. He doesn't use flying magic. Right now, Rexus was carrying Fram's body using his little legs.
Rexus grabbed Fram's collar and carried the elf boy flying. His little wings flapped heavily and made the appearance of the two little boys quite cute.
"...."
Ren did not answer Fram's question. He simply looked at the two boys with a flat expression.
Fram's face turned sullen. "I asked what you were doing in Eva's room?" he said again, he looked at Ren like he was looking at a thief.
"I drove him home" replied Ren flatly.
He was already preparing to return to his residence.
But suddenly Fram starts blocking her. "Sister Ren, don't commit crimes in this place like last time. I don't agree you're harming this family. They've been very kind to me." said Fram softly in a voice that grew smaller and smaller, out of fear.
"I did nothing to them" Ren replied unhappily. Even though he had come here before because he wanted to find the keys to the secret box, he had never injured any of them.
Haa~ Fram sighed.
"That's better. I'm pretty tired because lately there's been more and more intruders. When Duke is not in place, I have to watch over this mansion secretly. Even I cut back on my sleep" Fram complained.
"Inbreathers?" Ren frowned. Then he looked at Fram seriously, "Tell me everything you know" he said in a pushy tone.
