Chapter 7 I will not cancel the engagement! (Dennis )

After Sayn left, Eva began contacting some people she knew to help. And they will help her with pleasure. Eva also asks Ricko to keep watch and has a long conversation with her sister after a long period of inactivity.

Denis gets telepathy from his father. The King told him to return to the capital, so he immediately flew up and teleported there quickly. He entered the hall by walking quickly. His feeling now felt bad at all. All of this was due to the information provided by Reina. Although the King did not explain everything, Denis knew that he would now hear very bad news. But he pretended to hope that the information given by Reina was a lie.
Denis got to the King's room. There were only the two of them in the room because the King wanted their conversation to take place in one eye.
Seeing that his son had returned, the King smiled sadly. He sighed before finally explaining everything at length. He explains what happened without hiding anything from Denis.
After the King ends his explanation, Denis freezes. But his logical mind returned quickly.
"Even though she's a dark witch, she's not necessarily a spy" Denis frowned.
"I got some evidence" King threw a stack of documents and some strange tools on the table. "This is an investigation that has been done for several years. There is suspicious activity in our kingdom. And all of that was done by a dark witch. They stole some information from the nobles. There are even some murders involved. But I still don't know what they're up to. Therefore, I need to interrogate this spy" the King held his head. He had a headache and felt his age was drastically lacking now.
Denis read all the documents and his face turned serious. He also knew that there was strange activity in his kingdom. But as he investigated it, his trail suddenly disappeared rapidly. So even though he knew it was suspicious, he never knew what suspicious things were.
"But there's no way the Duke would do any of this. Did you forget he even risked his life to fight at the border and returned with the title of hero?!"
"I knew. Duke is innocent" King looked at Denis seriously. "But the dark wizard must be guilty. Why has he been hiding for so many years? How could she choose a noble as her husband?" The king slightly raised his tone. "You know that guy is stupid, don't you? That woman must have used magic to brainwash him. So the Duke falls in love with her. Then he starts infiltrating and stealing information with his title. Then start helping his colleagues!" The king said in a high tone while glaring at Denis.
Denis took a breath. He could do nothing about Diana. Because there's a lot of evidence linking the dark wizard spies in their kingdom. Diana is the most powerful suspect because the woman hid her identity and married a noble.
"I won't" the King replied calmly. "I am a very fair person. You know that, right?"
"I know"
"Then about your engagement to Duke's daughter..."
"That won't change" Denis cut King's words quickly. "He's my fiancee. Nothing's gonna change about this"
"But, you know he's descended from a dark witch. Are you crazy to make a dark witch a queen?!" The king began to doubt his son's sanity now.
"He's still young. She did not know that her mother was a spy. He's not guilty. She won't be a dark witch as long as she doesn't use that magic" Denis insisted.
"Dennis!" The king got on the apoplexy and shouted.
"I'm not going to cancel the engagement!" Answer Denis firmly.
The father and son looked at each other fiercely. But the King surrendered later. The old man looked at Denis concerned. Then he sighed to calm himself.
"alright. Your engagement won't be canceled..." The king said slowly.
"Of course it won't" Denis smiled. "Eva won't be a bad guy. I can guarantee that." This was Denis' last word before he finally left the room.
The King's face turned serious as Denis left. Although the King gave up on banning Denis from marrying Eva, she would not allow Eva to become Queen. The king promised he would not oppose Denis and Eva's marriage. But she never promised to make Eva a Queen. A king can have many wives. Eva's gonna be a concubine and she's gonna pick another girl for Denis. The girl who is fit for the position of Queen. And the King thought the little princess of the Marquis was not bad. She was smart, innocent, beautiful and a light witch. She thought Reina was a perfect fit as the Queen in this kingdom. Imagining the meek girl accompanying Denis, the King smiled slightly.
