The Struggle of a Child

The Struggle of a Child
Final exam

The mockery accompanied my steps. I am walking alone. This mute morning. Step with the bag. But this time it's different. The bag that I was carrying was not like last night with a pretentious-looking book that had gone up to class.

This bag is the bag where my pencil box has been destroyed. The pencil box was no longer the same arrangement, as before. Even the pencil and ruler are no longer intact. I continued walking with a determined spirit.

The bag carrying the broken pencil case felt very light.

"Liyan, why are you carrying the bag again?" ask Septiani who found out about my mistake last night. "...you forgot again, huh?" tanyanya grinned. Cynical.

I kept quiet and did not answer him in the slightest. In fact, I'm more focused on seeing the road so that I'm not late again.

"Why are you walking fast ?" ask Septiani who is walking fast from me. In the middle of the road that almost arrived.

I'm the one walking this tight leg out of the highway a little. The grass lined up neatly on the road body. I just broke through.

"Liyan, be careful, the grass will die," Tania shouted alluding to my path.

"Yes, do not run, the grass will die," continued Ecy spicy.

I who was still innocent continued to step up to the front of the gate. The gate that was still open was followed by the standing guard of the school. Checking everything we bring to school.

"Liyan, you don't have any more books, do you?" asked the school guard to stop my steps.

"No sir," I answered squeezing the fingers withstanding the shame.

"I feel like I'd like to double-check your bag. But it's outside the rules because you're not late" he said, looking at me and glancing at the bag.

I nodded and left in front of Mr. Sukri. The classroom has been seen. The children have been milling around in and out of class.

I was still in the middle of the schoolyard staring at the classroom, followed by my spinning mind remembering the broken pencil case. While walking, I glanced at the bag that was carrying remembering the pencil case and ruler that was no longer fit to wear.

"Liyan, you got another bag?" ask Fikri confused.

"Yes, she did, forgetting that we had a test," Widia glanced at me.

Half-way through the door I slowly moved forward, stepping with both hands holding the bag rope and gazing at the floor and a gloomy face.

"Liyan, you're sick again, aren't you?" rasyd asked, reprimanding from behind.

"No," I answered him immediately after being surprised.

Rasyd continued walking and did not respond in the slightest. The bag that had been slung so kindly on my shoulder was on the table.

"Liyan, what is this ?" ask the supervising teacher.

"Pencil box, ma'am," I replied quietly.

"Pensil box ?" he asked with a suspicious face. Stare sharply at the bag located. "That big pencil box, huh?" the question is becoming more astonished.

"Yes, ma'am" Widia replied.

"The pencil box is as big as a board, Mom," Tania said insultingly.

"Haha !" keep Ecy laughing.

I was so sad to hear their taunts. Tears that bore in the eye was as strong as I could so as not to fall. Pencils that scribble books are getting weaker and weaker.

"Do your training! Don't anyone try to ridicule his fellow friends!" the supervisor teacher said firmly.

"Liyan, if this is indeed a pencil case. I'm happy," she said with relief.

He also passed from before me. Followed by both eyes following each step.

Huuh!

I also massaged my chest with relief because the supervisor did not open it and I survived the ridicule, insults and even insults from my friends when I saw the broken pencil box.

The exam hours are over. "Children get together because, according to the order of your table number," the teacher asked.

"Okay, ma'am," we answered in unison.

"Now Mom will take him to be judged" he said.

We are also happy to hand it over. The matter has now been brought by the teacher to the teacher's room to be assessed.

The break hour arrived. Me and my friends were scattering out of class, some were studying, some were eating, some were playing jump rope. So too with me. I who rarely served at school sat under a paper flower tree while carrying a book.

"Someone who has no friends!" he said he screamed happily. It was as if he was the voice of Septiani.

My reflex turned my head toward the source of the sound. Septiani and Widia. I increasingly do not understand seeing Widia, why she suddenly turned derastic towards me. If I remember the past, Widia doesn't like me because I forgive Septiani for being rude to me.

But I saw a very different view. Widia is getting closer and closer to Septiani. He hated me so much for apologizing to Septiani.

I leaned alone under the tree and wondered. The open book was immediately ignored when I saw them seem to be approaching me.

"Liyan, do you like sitting here?" septiani asked as if she had only seen him for the first time.

"It's cold here" I replied directly.

"Liyan, what are you reading?" ask Widia.

"Read the poem" I replied.

"That poem you wrote, huh?" widia asked remembering the poem I had read in front of the class.

"Yes" I replied.

Widia and Septiani dropped their bodies sitting near me.

"What are you doing again?" solihin asked cheerfully.

The three of us reflexively turned our heads to look towards those who ran over.

"Let's play this!" take Rasyd with you while putting the snake down.

"Here," I said with a glare . I put the book on a small piece of cement right next to me.

"You ever play, Liyan?" ask Fikri.

"No, not yet" I answered directly. Glancing at the snake ladder located above the ground.

"But we're coming in soon" said Septiani, who sat next to Fikri.

"Still a long time," replied Solihin who enthusiastically wanted to play.

Inevitably we also play snake ladder following the wishes of Solihin who had been eager to play.

Not long after the bell rang loudly in the ear.

"It's home" Widia said running first.

Finally, one by one we disperse leaving under the tree. Likewise with Solihin he also ran fast carrying his ladder snake.

"Liyan, you go home by yourself, yes," Widia asked in a tone of voice that disliked me.

I grabbed my bag and saw him say that.

"I was in a hurry," he said back with the bag and left immediately.

"Liyan, daaaah," said Solihin who went home with Rasyd and Fikri.
