The Struggle of a Child

The Struggle of a Child
My Dad Finished Prayer

"Have your father been home long?" Ask my mother to immediately move from the front door of the room.

"Yes." I said as I walked towards the kitchen to get some drinking water.

"What do you want?" Ask my mother with suspicion.

" Again, take some water." I said calmly.

"Come, let me get you!" He said as he grabbed the glass from my hand and pulled my arm slightly to the edge of the wall."Wh-wh-what for? You want to eat?" Ask while handing over a glass filled with drinking water.

" It's!" Answer me firmly. Grabbing a glass, he gave it to me.

"Then, haven't you had a drink?" He asked a question about drinking water.

" Liyan wants to take medicine, Mother." I said, taking it from his hand.

I took a sip of water while swallowing the medicine with great difficulty and it took a struggle. Every time I take medicine. I must have taken a breath first looking at the medicine I was about to swallow. As if I said this medicine is so big and must be bitter. Sometimes I take medicine to vomit and all the food in my stomach must come out. When I remember that, I laugh too.

"How is it done?" Ask my mother to stand next to me.

"Yes, Bu already!" I said while putting down the glass.

" You're not throwing it away, are you? The medicine." Ask my mother by probing while looking at me sharply.

"Engga Ma'am! There's nothing I throw away. I vomit." I looked at my mother with a soft voice.

" Good then. Then your father today won't be mad at you." My mother said flatly.

I heard him silent at once.

"Liyan after this you rest." My mother said to me firmly and went out the kitchen door.

I was curious to see it from where I stood. Both of my eyes followed in his footsteps to their destination.

I also swung my legs that were still weakly drooping to see what my mother connected me again.

I leaned back my weak body whose heat had been reduced by the door of our kitchen. Instantly I noticed that he was busy with his small garden next to our rented house. My mother was so enthusiastic about cleaning the little grass from every tree.

The heat disappeared slightly as it was almost covered by dusk. So excited and not so talkative he just focused on the small grass that covered a part of the ground. The sticky red earth stepped on when wet now feels so hard that my mother is so slightly overwhelmed pulling the grass.

"My father who was praying now has not been seen by me out of the room. Meanwhile, my sister who was still outside quietly had no news. Remembering my sister made me sigh.

"Liyan, what are you standing there for?" Ask my father who is standing behind me.

Suddenly I heard a voice behind me. I turned my body around for a moment.

"Dad!" I said with my eyes closed.

I also took a breath.

"Where is your mother?" Asked my father who was so worried to see from the face.

" That!" Pointing out from behind me by swinging my index finger into the air.

My father who stood in front of me looked so curious looking from the veil of his face following the direction of my index swing.

With so much enthusiasm my father also saw from the exit so wide. I who was standing right beside him turned back my body looking at the place my father saw.

"It looks like pulling out Dad's grass." I said standing next to my father.

My father also went to my mother who was in the garden near our yard. I was still standing by my father until he approached my mother.

Immediately I was determined to see the two of them working to clean the garden. They're so serious I see. There was not the slightest trace of tired faces implied from their faces.

I also moved from the front door. Stand up to see my sister. Instantly, I stared out in pias. A long time has passed, but my brother is not seen either.

My little body was starting to feel bad again. The high heat that had been decreasing was now starting to rise again. My little body that was shivering was now growing back. The medicine I was taking no longer reacted.

My body began to feel like I had been through. Now it is starting to crumble again.

The page now looks crowded with dry leaves. I stared fixedly while throwing my mind to remember my sister who until now has not been seen.

My breath is starting to set. Standing still in front of the door while turning both balls my eyes looked around. The sister I was waiting for did not arrive until this moment.

The day is passing. Dusk began to greet us with his warmth caressing our dark atmosphere.

"Liyan! You see what?" Ask my dad to stand in the back.

"Dad! Why hasn't my sister come home yet?" I was still staring pushyly into the courtyard filled with dried leaves.

"Dad doesn't know! But I've been looking for your sister around the village. In fact, I've been to some of your sister's teachers. They said they didn't see your sister." My father said with a soft and sad face.

" But this is the day it will be night." I said softly as well while staring blankly at the loose air.

My father took a deep breath and exhaled violently while staring straight ahead of the vast expanse.

I also looked at my father who was so worried about the condition of my brother that there was no news to this day.

"Hows it? Is Ana home yet?" My mother-in-law walked over to me and my father.

" Not yet." Said my father who was preparing to wear neat clothes.

"Dad, where are you going?" I asked who was so clingy to see my father.

"Dad wants to find your sister back." Instantly my father walked over with a rough sigh.

Meanwhile, my mother who stood looking at my father so heavy face. Occasionally he even looked out at the empty expanse clucking occasionally.

"Where are you going to look for him?" Ask my contact mother by investigating.

"Ntahla, I'm obviously looking for him today.I'll try!" My father said with a little question mark.

"Then I'll help you find him." My contact mother moved to pick up the sandals and immediately went out with my father.

"Liyan, you take care of the house. Don't go anywhere!" My father said firmly.

"Yes, you're sick again. You're getting worse and can't go to school." Mother said to me firmly by swinging her legs.

"Yes." I stood still staring at those who kept walking leaving me alone.

They disappeared from my sight so quickly. I also carelessly turned my body back to look at the floor that I walked slowly. It was as if I was counting my own steps. Walk to the chair to sit back.

Seriate....
