The Struggle of a Child

The Struggle of a Child
Daylight

On the way from school to home. I walked down the street with my friend Widia. We went home together because our house was in the same village.

"Widia, if you go home. Who's in your house?" He stared at my friend who was walking right beside me.

"My mother." He answered while looking at my face.

"If you are, Liyan?" He asked me the same question.

"If I don't exist." I answered with a slightly sad face.

"Your mother?"

"My mom died a long time ago."Answer me with a little sadness.

"If not, play around in my house! Until your father comes home. I'm home with no friends."

"But you said your mother was home."

"She, soon my mother's gone, much to do."

"But I don't dare Widia."

"Why?"

"Yes, my dad will be angry. My dad said that going home from school goes straight home."

After a long time we walked. And finally! We also split up. My house and my house are different directions. Right at the junction he went to his house and I went to my house .

My friend who kept walking from a distance. I saw him walking towards his house.

I was also walking alone. Now keep walking while staring in front of my house.Suddenly!

I finally got to my doorstep. My tired face walks in the sun.

"Assalamu'alaikum". Greet me to an empty house.

I opened the door that didn't look locked. As always, when my dad goes to work. My brother and I are the ones who are the guardians of our home. However, it is now different from the usual. My own sister is now home.

I look around my house and slowly move my legs. My right hand is still holding the door of our house.

My sister, where is she at the moment. His habits are always like that. Always play never at home.

"Assalamu'alaikum."

I was engrossed in the room while opening a new textbook shared by our teacher. Heard the sound of greeting from the door. I immediately moved and approached him, looking at him.

"Wa'alaikumussalam's chat. Greeting my father's hand.

"Have you been home for a long time, son?"

"It's Dad."

"What time did you come home?"

"Four ten Fathers."

My father then put the groceries he brought into the kitchen. After she swapped clothes for home clothes.

After everything is done. He cooked our meals during the day and at night, and when my father cooked I was the most frenzied in the kitchen.

"You're this when I'm busy you're busy too I see. No, what you did from earlier paced back and forth here and there. I guess you're the one who cooks." My dad left me in the kitchen by myself.

My father was like that. Sometimes he gets angry when I'm too busy in the kitchen.

"Dad, Liyan, you love to see you cook." I said in a soft voice and leaned against the corner of the door.

"Yes, but sometimes you want to hurry. While our kitchen is small, son. So, cramped. Moreover, even you followed me here and there."

"Go there, you're messing around!" My father said as he spoke leading to the living room.

I who was silent was scolded by my father. Now go out from before him.

"Yes, Dad." I said as I walked towards the living room and brought along the cup I was holding with my right hand.

My dad who was in the kitchen saw me.

"Yeah!" Shouted my brother when he came back from his playground.

"Dad been home a long time?" He gave a cup to my father.

"Get me a drink!" With a slow voice and a little bit of seduction. My father was standing not far from me.

"You're! It's grown up still asked to get water to drink with dad."

"Dad likes to be angry right, brother."

"Emang why?"

"She, sometimes I don't dare talk to her Dad."

"La. I'm tired of working the deck."

I am still in elementary school. I should be able to give my sister a look. That's what my father told me. When I often sat with him.

Come here!!!

I was listening to my sister again. Suddenly, surprised to hear my father's voice from the kitchen.

My brother and I walked to my father's call.

"What's the matter Dad?"

"Eat, boy! Come here! I'm done cooking."

My sister and I approached.

"Eh! this is good deck."

"Yes, right? Dad, the cooking is good." Said my brother with complete trust in my father.

We rushed to get our own plates.

"It's Dad." As we handed each plate to my father.

My father put rice and side dishes on our plates.

"Let's have our deck sitting here!" We put the dishes in our seats. By washing hands and drinking water that we have provided first.

"Eat ya, boy! Don't fight, Daddy wants to go take a shower. I want to pray, yes." My father left us alone with the food my father had provided.

We both ate with laughter and jokes. My brother likes to play. He always filled our days by telling us the game he played with his friends outside.

Ahahaha!!!

We both laughed out loud because my sister's friend was funny.

My dad sees us sometimes strange. Can get along, can fight too. Me and my brother, my father said both loudly. So, sometimes my father would most like to tell me to always give in to my sister because I am much more obedient than my sister.

Uhuk uhuk uhuk!!!

My father's small cough was heard from far away.

"Daddy, I'm ready to take a shower."

"Why brother?"

"Shut up don't laugh."

"Later, I'm angry because I don't like to see people eating and laughing." I looked at my sister while telling her to be quiet.

"Why aren't you ready to eat?" By placing a bucket filled with water in the corner of the kitchen wall.

My sister and I were silent while looking at each other. Gave a signal, who? who will answer it. My sister pretended not to know while looking at the plate. I hang with my father. Must compose words to answer.

Sometimes I look at my father and sister. But, again my sister pretended not to know and did not see me. While from the other side my father was getting curious and waiting for an answer from us.

"There's no Dad."

"There is but, why? laughs."

My father was astonished and went to his room to perform Dzuhur prayer.

"So, where would I be if I had more?"

"That's dad's deck when he's ready to pray, go to bed first."

"She, wake up later, I'll have a lot." We left the kitchen for a moment.

I'll see you guys again with my next story!
