The Struggle of a Child

The Struggle of a Child
My father's judgment against both of us

"Lying Dad," my sister quipped. "Bad brother Daddy. The first brother was wrong, Dad. Not me," my sister said. Defend oneself.

I immediately sighed as I shook my head to see my father who was lost by my sister's emotional state. My two eyeballs then just stared at the empty room while rolling my brother's bullshit in mind.

"Ana, what did your brother say to you earlier, hm?" ask dad. Looking at my spoiled sister, followed by her hands stroking my sister's head gently.

"Dad I forgot. You see, Brother was too long talking about it," the pretext was gently mixed with spoiled.

I was getting annoyed mixed up with the abnormal body temperature. Both eyeballs are getting hotter and hotter. It was very desirable that I drop the body immediately to bend stretching the tired muscles.

"Liyan, not just once Dad said, 'don't make your sister cry' '" said my father repeating emphatically.

"Dad, Brother first who... ." I immediately fell into a gaping silence holding back the talk that wanted to come out seeing my sister directly cut off my conversation.

"Dad, not me first. That brother was angry with me," my sister's pretext cut me off straight away.

I was further besieged by my brother's talk which emotionally drained my father and made me careless. My lips were still tightly closed until I felt this knee pain again mixed with the high fever that infected me.

My tongue is getting worse. It was so heavy that I wanted to open my eyes as wide as ever. "Dad I'm not lying" greeted me with a raucous tone of voice mixed with an unhealthy body.

My father was more confused to see me and my sister who were accusing each other. He may now again drain his mind to look and listen to our defense one by one.

Huh! My father sighed.

"Liyan, why did you make your sister cry? It's not that you're satisfied you never shared your pocket money with him again," my father said as if insinuating me about what happened a few days ago.

I kept swallowing my own mistakes again. I'm still being pressured by my brother and my dad too. "Dad, it wasn't me who made her cry. But he's the first one, Dad," I said, retaliating against my sister's accusations.

"Engga Daddy. Engga," said my sister directly. Seeing my father swinging one of his right hands as a signal to dismiss my speech. Not long after that slowly my sister hugged my father's waist tightly standing up while tilting her head to the side precisely to the left.

"Liyan, you don't love your sister, do you? Say the same Dad. Let me know," said my father in a flat voice mixed with a tightening face.

My father continued to make me more dilemma and nervous about the problems of me and my brother who was not yet finished.

"Dad, I love you, sister" I replied. He looked down and looked at the floor as if he was swallowing regret.

My sister's getting pale mixed up in worry that until my dad finds out the truth. "Dad don't trust Big Brother. Brother now does not love me anymore," he continued like that.

"Disturbed to see you two. One said his brother was lying" said my father. Dropping my head to see my sister. "And the other one said, if his sister is first," he said in a surprised tone of voice. Turning his head back to see me still bowed on the bed.

I was getting annoyed and regretful because I saw my brother who was very good at quibbling in front of my father.

"Liyan, come down now!" pinta my father firmly. Sharpen his eyes to look at me. "Quick down!" the door with an emphasis-filled voice. Nodding his head firmly.

Inevitably with a heavy heart, I was forced to go down with legs that were still sick and a body that was hot high and cold. Trudgingly I dragged this body right away from the bed which made me a little comfortable from the moans of my illness.

"Liyan, you know the consequences of making your sister cry" said my father with both eyes fixedly staring.

I just stood there and crossed my arms forward. Staring straight at the tips of my sister and my father's feet.

"Dad's most unhappy to see there's a fight between the two of you in this house" he said. Stand up while tightening your face.

"But you guys never listen to him at all, like?! Now I've heard your excuses and your sister's excuses" he explained.

"Dad I'm not the one who's wrong" I said with a wave.

"So, who's wrong first?" ask my dad to know.

I'm getting excited as if I'm getting a breath of fresh air from my father's question.

"Our father had nothing wrong" my sister replied directly to him. Little sloppy.

"Ana, what does that mean?" asked my father back with a confused face. "Daddy don't understand why nothing's wrong?" asked my father to back up his forehead.

I looked more and more at my sister who always said strangely in times I wanted to make a sound. Every time we fight he's always like this, I thought. Suddenly defended me and saved him from our father's punishment. More lack like that.

My sister didn't want me to be punished and she also served that sentence. So on the sidelines of the debate he wanted to end as if acting in defense of me from our father so that he could survive the punishment that our father would give.

"Dad, my brother and I were just pretending" my sister said. Pulling his lips smiling. However, behind the smile was a secret lie that he tried to cover up.

"Dad, actually... ." I closed my lips straight away. Gawking at my sister's courage.

"Dad is actually we're fine" my sister continued with good confidence.

Huh!

My father breathed a long breath. Resisting his anger that wanted to get out. Followed by his hand massaging his dizzy forehead seeing the behavior of the two of us.

"Ana, how many times have I told you. Don't worry me" said my father. I saw my brother standing around holding her. "Dad can't see the two of you continuously like this. I warned you that it was noon. Dad's got to take a break and take a nap. Don't disturb Dad's sleep. It's even you making me panic with that cry of yours" she lamented. Staring at my sister with pias.

I turned my head even more to see my sister who was stunned by her own game. He took a step back from my father.

"Now you two are no longer getting pocket money every afternoon. And you Ana no longer have new sandals for you," my father said firmly. "You're Liyan again, there's no reason to take a day off because of your sore feet. Remember that!" dad said. Go leave us both. "Oh, yes. It's a dirty yard and it's got a lot of grass. Clean it up now! Don't enter the house before it's clean" continued my father stopped half his steps and turned his body back to point at us both.

"Ayaaah," whined my sister with tears.

"Ptff, hahahaha !" I said hold back the laughter and then laugh loosely. "Finally, you got your own trap, ptfff, hihihi!" I continued with a tingly laugh.
