How Will You Say Goodbye?

How Will You Say Goodbye?
Welcoming

Rey and Kinan's arrival is warmly welcomed by Mrs Zehra. Rey's mother hugged the old child only wayangnya then turned to the young woman who had been with the son to his residence. The servants of the house began to help tidy up and bring Rey and Kinan's belongings to the room.

"Kinanty, you're healthy right?" Asked Madam Zehra while looking at Kinan who had earlier lowered his head.

"I'm healthy, Madam." Kinan replied gently as he shook the middle-aged woman's hand.

"Ah, didn't Mama ever ask you to call her Mama?" The woman stroked a glimpse of Kinan's hair that had been scratched away and Kinan smiled faintly.

"Yes, Ma." Kinan said hesitantly but was warmly welcomed by Mama Rey. The young woman who was no longer holding him affectionately made Kinan's body slightly tremble because his old sanking never felt the embrace of a mother. Kinan accidentally shed tears.

"From now on, you think of Mama as your own mother." Madam Zehra said in her arms. His hand stroked Kinan's back slowly and he felt Kinan nodding in that embrace. Rey smiled, somehow this sight was so happy. The two women he loved embraced each other.

"Have you not, Ma? Kinan is tired of traveling all the way from London." Rey reminded the mother to take off her embrace and suddenly Madam Zehra took off the hug and saw Kinan who was in red eyes due to her crying a moment ago.

"Mama is too strong to hug Kinan, Ma! Look Kinan is crying!" Rey Protests. The man clucked while shaking his head slowly.

"Ah, forgive Mama, Kinan. Is your mom's hug too tight?" Madam Zehra held onto Kinan's shoulder and watched him from head to toe like she had just made a huge mistake.

"Ti-no Ma, I'm just moved to remember my late mother." Said Kinan as he stroked the back of the beautiful woman's hand. Kinan then looked at Rey with a sharp gaze as if warning her for flirting with her own Mama. Rey simply stroked her own nape while grinning the horse.

"Yes, you guys get some rest! It's late enough." Said Mrs Zehra. Rey and Kinan nodded, then Rey pulled out Kinan's fingers to go with her up the circular staircase.

"Eh, where are you going?" Mama Rey looked at Rey who was about to move while Kinan was still silent with the position of the hand that the man had pulled.

"You need a break, Ma.. My mom told me to!" Said Rey later.

The woman clucked her tongue then took off Rey's hand which was tied to Kinan's fingers. "You're in your room, Rey! And Kinan, let's go down in the guest room!" Mama Rey replied while saying she left Rey while holding Kinan to the guest room. Rey chuckled with her own actions then stepped towards her room upstairs.

...🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸...

The clinking sound of spoons and forks clashing with plates became Rey's breakfast companion this morning. Lady Zehra was pouring tea into a glass cup while Kinan was smearing bread with chocolate jam. They chatted casually about Kinan's health during his street treatment in London and about his pregnancy.

Everything was suddenly silent for a moment when a middle-aged man entered the dining room, then the man sat on his great chair at the dining table. He cleared his throat once while staring at the three people who were busy with their respective activities without making a sound again since his presence.

"Why is everyone quiet? Let's continue with your discussion!" Speaks kindly.

Kinan took a quick glance at Rey and Rey just shrugged in response to Kinan, as he also felt strange with his father's friendly attitude. Lady Zehra broke the silence by offering her husband some food that the man might want to eat.

"How's Rey? Have you had any talk about your marriage?" Asked Mr. Yazid to Rey, he caught a glimpse of Rey then continued to spoon the food into his mouth.

"Yet, Pa." Rey replied briefly because she didn't know where to start.

"Hmmm.." The old man muttered. Kinan was nervous because he had never met Mr. Yazid before. He was also confused to explain the problems that still ensnare him.

"What about you, Kinan?" Sapa Rey's. "Are you ready to marry Rey?" The old man was now looking seriously at Kinan and Kinan reflexively lowered his head in reticence.

"Actually I still have a problem." Answer Kinan doubtfully. I don't know where he'll start. He was afraid of disappointing Rey's parents who had discussed it so far.

"What obstacles? Just explain it now so we can finish it!" Master Yazid said lightly with his cold aura that was forced to be friendly.

Rey put down her spoon and fork. He's done with the food. "Perhaps what Kinan meant was his agreement with Om Ardi, Pa. What exactly are Papa and Om Ardi planning? And what kind of work will Kinan do in his lifetime on that deal?" Rey looked at Father seriously. Kinan looked at Rey who had not seen him at all.

"What does Rey mean by calling Mr. Ardi Om? And plans? The plan that his father made with Om Ardi, what does it mean? Ah what is this?" Inner Kinan began to guess. His frowning forehead showed a very acute attitude of confusion.

Lady Zehra was only a listener and she would interrupt if something went wrong between her son and husband. Indeed, the middle-aged woman only became mediator during being between these two men she loved.

"Did Kinan know this?" Papa Rey asked the son but his eyes looked at the confused Kinan. He caught the confused face so he wanted to clarify it here so that Kinan would not feel confused anymore.

"Not yet." Rey flat. "Papa better explain it because it was Papa's plan." Rey clasped her chest and leaned her back on the chair.

"Look Kinan, that Ardi is my right hand. At first I was just trying to test your feelings. You and Rey should I separate them in distance for one reason or another. And now I've decided you should just get married." Obviously lightly then the man sipped his coffee slowly.

"So Mr. Ardi... um, w-does that mean me... do I not have to keep my promise to work for a lifetime?" Kinan asked doubtfully and timidly. He crushed his own fingers that were clinging to his lap.

"Of course you have to keep your word, son!" Answer Mr. Yazid. He placed his coffee cup on the table and looked seriously at Kinan.

Rey wanted to open her mouth to protest but as yet she spoke, her Papa voice instantly dominated the room.

"You have to work your whole life. Your job is to be my son-in-law and be a good wife to my son Reyland!" Obviously, while smiling at the wife who also smiled with relief.

Rey sighed in relief while Kinan stared at Rey's relieved face with a burning feeling that was difficult to express.

"So..?"

"Yes, so you're talking about your wedding now!" Sela Mistress Zehra patted the back of her daughter-in-law's hand gently.

Kinan sparkled and then clasped Madam Zehra's fingers with his other hand. He wants to squeal now sanking leganya. All this time he was held back from expressing his feelings because he remembered the promise to Mr. Ardi that he could not avoid and the agreement seemed to bind him strongly.

"Thank you, sir." Kinan spoke politely to Mr. Yazid who was sitting at the end of the table.

"Hm.. I don't like it when my son-in-law calls me Master!" He said while laughing. Rey was surprised to see the father who was suddenly friendly.

"Pa..did I not hear wrong? Did I see wrong?" Ask Rey. He looked at his father and then turned to the mother who gave a smile.

"Your father will continue so from now on!" Mama Rey replied as she chuckled at the end of her sentence.

Rey gawked and her face demanded an answer from her father's mouth.

"Are you not happy if Papa's being friendly? You know, I'm gonna be a grandpa soon. I don't want to be stamped as an arrogant old man." It was Mr. Yazid who made Rey look up.

Kinan giggled to himself hearing the old man's reply. He is not hesitant now and considers Rey's parents are very warm because they can receive it well in this house. Especially the last words of Mr. Yazid, making Kinan increasingly feel the presence of his son is increasingly awaited in this house.

"You heard that, so get married!" Madam Zehra and the four laughed happily.

____

They were all done with breakfast. Mr. Yazid wants to leave the dining table.

"Pa, I have something to ask you!" Sela Rey as she stood up from her seat.

Mr. Yazid looked towards Rey in seriousness. He believes it is no longer about Kinan but there is something else.

"Alright, Papa wait in the study before Papa leaves for the office!" He said and Rey agreed. He needs privacy to ask what made him curious about yesterday.
