Chapter 11 Revenge Begins

Leticia woke up from her sleep. He's been tired these few days. Dividing the time between Judith and her work as Empress was no easy feat. Plus it should have a meeting with some nobles. His body feels tired. He called the maid to help her bathe and get dressed. 

He was supposed to call a new teacher for Judith. However, there was no one he could trust. He did not want his daughter to be beaten. What good is a smart but cruel teacher. What is the point of an experienced teacher but not being able to teach. He better teach his own daughter.

Leticia's outlining her duties in her study. The pile of paper on his desk was like nothing less. The pile is growing every day. Leticia immediately did her job. 

For hours he struggled with the documents in front of him. His head started to feel dizzy. Eyes circling. His view gradually grew darker.

Leticia opened her eyes. The ceiling he saw was not in his study. He's in his room. Next to him Judith was worried.

"Mom's okay?" Judith held Leticia's right hand.

"Mom's okay, honey. Just tired." Leticia's free hand stroked Judith's head.

"Is there anything I can do for you?" Anxiety was still visible on Judith's face.

"You're here to make me happy, honey."

Judith's grasp tightened, as if she wanted to say something. 

"Mother, I want to learn the sword. I want to protect mom" said Judith hesitantly.

Leticia's eyes widened. His daughter has something in common with him. I want to learn the sword. He was moved by Judith's determination to protect him. 

"Well if that's what you want, honey. You can practice swords with Dean."

"Thank you Mother."

Leticia got up to sit down. He hugged Judith tightly. Leticia hoped everything would be fine.

Judith returned her mother's embrace. He hopes to protect his mother. He would make his father proud of him. He will be the protector of the Empire. That way he can reunite his parents. His father will see his mother back. His father will love his mother again. He will be happy with them.

Judith had been practicing swordplay with Dean for a few days. It's just that he has trouble following her. Dean is not the kind of person who can teach people. The abilities he taught could only be mastered by men.

Leticia realizes Judith is in trouble. It seemed like he had to summon a female sword teacher to Judith. Actually Leticia could teach him, but his sword skills were not as great as a knight. He only learned swords as a child. He was not confident teaching Judith.

The thing is, Leticia doesn't know a great female knight she can trust. Leticia had already asked some of Judith's sword teacher candidates to Dean. However, none of them could trust him.

He knows a great woman in the sword. However, he was not sure the woman would teach his daughter. She hated Leticia and her family.

"Mom, can you hear me?" judith asked, breaking Leticia's mind.

"Mom heard you, honey," said Leticia trying not to look surprised.

"Then answer my question."

Leticia remembered that they were talking about the imperial family lineage. Judith asked about the death of the late Grand Duke Faust.

However, the death of the late Grand Duke Faust seemed strange. In addition, unpleasant rumors immediately sprang up after the newly inaugurated Grand Duke Faust. Grand Duke Faust was notoriously ruthless. It was as if someone had deliberately spread the rumor in order for Grand Duke Faust's reputation to fall.

"Then his son, Grand Duke Faust, replaced him right now, right?"

"True, the title of the deceased noble will be passed on to his child. If they had no children, the emperor would usually give another gifted noble's son a new title."

Judith nodded in understanding. Leticia thought of something. Something that might help Leticia's plans for revenge. He asked Judith to study for herself for a while. He looked for other books about the late Grand Duke Faust. The book about the late Grand Duke Faust was not much. But they all almost told the same thing. The late Grand Duke Faust was a great person and played a big role in the war. No one could defeat him, not even the Emperor. However, he lost his life due to being careless during the last war.

It was strange that a person like the late Grand Duke Faust had died from recklessness. There is not a single book that tells the recklessness of the late Grand Duke Faust. Leticia suspects someone is behind Grand Duke Faust's death.

The one who would profit if the late Grand Duke Faust died was the late Emperor. The late Emperor was cornered because he did not have the capability comparable to the late Grand Duke Faust. The late Emperor felt the existence of the late Grand Duke Faust made his throne insecure. It was likely that the late Grand Duke Faust did not die from recklessness but rather the actions of the late Emperor. 

There is no evidence to support Leticia's allegations. However, he believed the death of the late Grand Duke Faust had something to do with the Emperor.

Leticia felt a small hand pull up her dress. He looks.

"Mother I'm bored" Judith said with a frown.

"Okay, we've learned today."

"Horay!"

Her daughter's joy rubbed off on Leticia. Leticia stroked her daughter's head.

"Are you still excited about learning to sword, honey?"

"Of course, Mother, but I find it hard to follow Sir Dean's teaching."

"Mom will try to call a new teacher for you."

"really? Thank you, Mother."

Judith smiled broadly. He was getting excited to learn to ride. He wondered who would be his new teacher.

Leticia forced herself to smile. Will Leticia be able to find the right teacher for Judith? He actually knew someone who could teach Judith the sword. Although the possibility of summoning a sword master to Judith was few. He'll work on it. For his daughter he would do anything. 

He will meet his childhood friend. Friends who hate him. Friends who suffer because of the Hilbright family. An apology would not be enough to make her forgive Leticia.

Leticia has an ace that will make her best friend want to teach Judith. Not only that, Leticia's revenge plan for Braun and Charlotte can be started with the help of her best friend.

Maybe she won't see Leticia's face again. However, Leticia was able to meet him. He'll force her to meet him. Although the woman hated him, the offer Leticia had prepared was not easy to refuse.

Isabella... Leticia's going to see Isabella mel Wollard. Countess Wollard was a loyal accomplice of Grand Duke Faust. Isabella has a sword ability that is almost comparable to Grand Duke Faust. No doubt, he was a proper teacher for Judith. He was the one Leticia could trust. Although, Isabella might not trust Leticia. 

Leticia will have both of those people on her side. For revenge plans to Braun and to Judith.
