After visiting the mercenary headquarters and receiving the money, Leonard headed for Count Gail's residence. He will scatter all that money on Count Gail and be free from his debt bondage. No need to hide or run anymore. Leonard will be a free man.
He was not welcomed in front of Gail's residence. Leonard did not care much about it because he thought there was only one, quickly starting a new life.
Leonard waited a long time to meet Count Gail. The count was without apology sitting in front of Leonard asking his point.
"What did you come here for?"
Leonard immediately took out his money. "I paid my father's debt. Just counting the numbers would be enough."
The Count counted Leonard's money without any sense of spirit. After he finished he clucked while looking down on Leonard.
"It's not enough." The Count tapped the gold coin on the table.
"Whatchu mean? Didn't my father owe me 100 gold coins? Everything paid off if I added the money I had previously taken." Leonard raised his voice. He did not accept so far the Count never counted his parents' debts properly.
"It's true, but the flowers haven't been paid yet. In the agreement letter listed when late paying, the borrower must pay interest. Your parents have been waiting for years. The total interest reached 300 gold coins," explained the Count while throwing away one of the gold coins.
Leonard watched the coin fall under his feet. He looked at Count Gail. "I never knew about this. You never mentioned it once in front of me. I don't believe."
Count Gail raised her hand to get one of her servants to deliver a covenant letter. The waiter gave it to Leonard. Leonard rudely grabbed the letter.
He read. His hands were trembling with anger. His parents' signature was on the paper. Desperation gnawed at his heart. How can he get that much money? He had to pay a growing interest, being a mercenary was not enough. He had to work a lifetime to be free from this hell.
"Have believed? Now go home and find some more money" said Count Gail coldly.
Leonard put down the letter then stepped out in a stagger. Outside he shouted loudly.
"Aragh!"
'Crazy nobles I won't forgive you, ' Leonard's inner self.

Duchess Hillbright was in her room. He had a guest but did not look at the person in front of him.
"We will always be loyal to you. How's our offer Duchess?" ask the man while smiling at the business.
The Duchess continued to stare at her paper disregarding the person. The Duchess' adjutant cleared her throat while driving the man away.
"Sorry, your Marquis Loid came at an inopportune time. Please come back when the Duchess is away."
Marquis Loid gnashed his teeth. He held back his anger at this arrogant Duchess. He continued to approach the Duchess in the hope that her lucrative offer would be accepted. He was forced to leave without getting anything.
The Duchess glanced towards the door slammed by Marquis Loid earlier. He looked towards his personal aide.
"Have you heard from Ana, Flint?"
"Not yet Duchess."
Duchess Hillbright let out a long sigh. His sister is so stubborn. He would take her forcibly to visit their Father and Mother.
"Prepare the chariot, I'll go to the temple" the Duchess ordered.
"My father has already made me the teleportation magic stone that the Duchess requested. You can go straight to the temple using this." Flint thrust the magic stone at the Duchess.
"Okay, Duchess." Flint.
Duchess Hillbright immediately activated the magic stone. The view in his study turned into a temple field. He then went to the Pope to meet his brother.
"Well, shall I call Pastor Ariana, Duchess." The Pope leaves the Duchess alone.
The Duchess stared at the ceiling while waiting for Ariana. His head felt full, he needed to meet with his family to relieve fatigue. Dealing with nobles who licked him to become Emperor fed him up. He did not want to be Emperor. For him the present Emperor was a better leader than the previous Emperor. He hated the previous Emperor and would never forgive him.
The sound of the door opening sounded. Ariana went inside and the Pope left them. Ariana looked at her brother doubtfully.
"So when are you going to meet Mom and Dad, Ana?"
"A little while, brother. I haven't been getting ready. My heart is not ready."
"Until any time you won't be ready to keep running, Ana. I'll be next to you, don't worry."
Ana lowered her head while playing her finger. The Duchess stopped him by holding her sister's hand. He looked into the same golden eyes as his.
"All right, tomorrow I'm going to the brother's house." Ariana relented.
The Duchess smiled as she hugged her sister. "I'll pick you up tomorrow."
Ariana nodded. "Thank you, Brother."
The hugs of both of them loosened. The duchess bailed back to her room. He asked Flint to prepare a horse carriage tomorrow. His sister is coming. They're both going to meet their parents. Duchess Hillbright can't wait to meet her beloved family.

Three beers were spent by Leonard. He kept up the beer to get rid of his frustration. Saying by swearing he said in his heart.
He ordered another beer. No friends accompanied him this time. Will was killed. His trust in others was lost along with his friend's betrayal.
"Never borrow from Count Gail. He has no compassion" said the man sitting with his friend in Leonard's backseat.
Leonard nodded to grab his beer.
"How else would I have no money. Who else do I need to borrow money from?" asked the young brown-haired man full of despair.
"There is one kind noble. He's indiscriminate, a war hero. Just ask Duchess Hillbright, she will help you if your intentions are good" replied the person behind Leonard.
The beer Leonars drank spewed forward. He coughed and pulled out the beer that went into his nose. He did not believe the arrogant noble was a good person.
"Well shall I try" said the brunette.
"Good, just don't go to Count Gail. He applied very high interest, even he made an agreement that was never approved by the borrower."
Leonard's breaking the table. All eyes were on him but Leonard ignored him. He turned to the person behind him. "Explain further."
"My cousin borrowed money from Count Gail. He paid it off but Count Gail tricked him. In the letter of the agreement there is never listed the amount of interest to be borne and there is never a name of interest on the previous deal. Count Gail manipulated the papers" the man said.
Leonard gnashed his teeth hard. He took out the money and slammed it hard to pay for the beer. His feet crept out of the bar.
He will make the calculations on that greedy noble tomorrow.
